I gave up walleye fishing for a few years to fish a different species. I started back up again and stumbled upon this video. Great refresher! Spot on. Those rigging hooks are interesting. Gonna have to get some now. Thanks! I subbed and look forward to more vids.
Her crams a ton of info into this for sure. He could slow down and it would be helpful. However, this was one of the best fishing technique videos I've seen so far. THANK YOU!
If you have crawlers, use an Erie Deary, or weight forward spinner as some call it. I've used this in summer numerous times on lakes and rivers with great results.
Wow that's a lot of information.. i like the part about slowing it down so the fish get a chance to position it properly in their mouth.. I also like the fact that i am not the only one who uses those big juicy night crawlers. LOL thanks for the video.
good stuff, I always wondered why I couldn't catch fish in the heat of summer in Central New York and I'm thinking it's because I didn't listen to your vid sooner! I'll let you know in a few months if changing my approach to match yours works. Thanks!
On the contrary, I catch more walleye in the summer than any time of the year. By far. Key thing is to cover more ground. This usually means worm harnesses with bottom bouncers in the day and slow trolling with spoons in the shallows at dusk. Meanwhile I keep passing by guys stuck jigging the same stretch with no luck.
Great video am sorry no new content has been created in a while. Have this one in my watch later so I can come back over and over. Just in case new content ever gets added, I have subscribed.
I really enjoy fishing (I live in Québec, there's water everywhere), but I have to admit, I'm a lousy fisher. But your video already proved itself quite useful. If you can make a good fisherman out of me, it would be like an Olympic medal for you. :)
Have you tried Eastern Washington walleye fishing? They're picky as hell. Try going to potholes or banks lake. Only caught one walleye ever by jigging. Trolling is most common.
I fish in lake where the water level is higher than it has been in five years, new there a lot of trees / grass under water. Level is rising a foot a week, temp is 66 -72. Did catch a few all where catch in 19 -20 feet. But is was real slow only 15 fish over a four day trip with 10 hrs per day on water. Any ideas as to what best way to fish a lake like this. Use crank baits / worm harness to troll looking for fish, once we catch one we would troll over area a couple more time no luck. Then we tried jig, casing cranks, jig with Minnows no luck.
You are confused on the location of your quick change clevis. You state you are attaching your cannon ball weight above your barrel swivel , "where you would attach a spinner blade". I think you misspoke, as this location, 4 feet ahead of your hook ,is where one would attach a bottom bouncer. The portion on fishing slip bobbers was good.
First time I've seen one of your videos. Don't no where you fish I fish in South Dakota. Great video on slow death if you don't use this method your really missing out. Back to summer bite up here you have to no how to troll the chanel tree lines using lead core. If you don't no how your not going to catch anything. Like to see you do a video on that. Look forward to catching some more of your videos.
6' flat...why 3/8 oz.? 1/8 or 1/4 oz. this time of year is plenty...especially on a calm day...most walleyes are very active and will come up n smack a slow falling set up this time of year...spring and I'd agree with a heavier jig...but not now
Sound great as was the information, but you talked so fast, I couldn't keep up with you. Also, you were in the dark, so when you tried to show us the hooks and how you set your line, I couldn't see anything. Slow down your verbal instruction, and angle your camera so we can see you please.
When the water is cold you will add live bait to your plastic....and you said leech. You're not tipping with a leech in cold water. That makes zero sense. One mph in 15 feet of water you don't need a 1/2 ounce weight.
From a pacific northwest salmon and bass fisherman, new to walleye country, -Best instructional video I’ve see. Thank you sir.
Thank you! Great video! More TH-camrs should do videos like this.
Probably best walleye demo I ever saw like how I fish for them lol!!!!!
This is 1 of the best walleye vids i have seen... very thorough 5 thumbs up!

This was such a great video. The technical info is fantastic! Thank you for making this.
So much great information. I'll watch 2 or 3 times to review. Thanks.
Best and most informative video I've watched on summer walleye fishing.
I just started fishing saugeye and walleyes. I catch alot on lime green spoons
Damn this is such a good video. Nicely explained. Everything.
very informative, great presentation, no theatrics - simple & efficient.
Her crams a ton of info into this for sure. He could slow down and it would be helpful. However, this was one of the best fishing technique videos I've seen so far. THANK YOU!

Haven't fished in a long time putting a boat together and getting back into it use to fish Walleyes a lot pick up a lot of info thank you.

Excellent information. Im a newbie at walleye techniques, looking forward to trying all of these next weekend on Green Lake Wisconsin. Thanks!
Great presentation style, demonstrated your details work! Thanks so much!
I love walleye fishing. A couple of years ago on Lake Kabtogama MN I caught 25" - 30" walleye every 1min off a black and orange jig with a minnow.
I sure will . In Toronto it is hard to get the eagle Craw Revel
Really good techniques. Some new, some new. Good refresher.
You could also lighten your jig head weight for slower falls too. I use 1/8 or 1/4.
Wow that's a lot of information.. i like the part about slowing it down so the fish get a chance to position it properly in their mouth.. I also like the fact that i am not the only one who uses those big juicy night crawlers. LOL thanks for the video.
Thats the kind of video i need, great info and hands on. Heading to Quebec for walleye this june first actual trip. Thanks

Great, thank you.
A very helpful and informative video👍
Thank you man I am very appreciate your show I've been fishing for a long time now I learned something news against thank you
Great video, wish you'd put the details of your tackle in the video description like you said you would
Great Information!!
1/2 oz is HUGE for under 20' and none of this matters if you're not on fish, and when you are...this stuff generally doesn't matter
great vid.
Do use have the Pro Nav Angler on your trolling motor
Thanks so much
Here in Kansas it’s nearly impossible to slip fish a Walleye, our waters are stuffed full of white perch. Drives me nuts.
Great info. Thanks man!
What size hook/jig head, paddle tail? And colder weather, what would be good in place of the paddle tail? Thanks!
How about river fishing walleyes in dark water with heavy current?
Have you tried Eastern Washington walleye fishing? They're picky as hell. Try going to potholes or banks lake. Only caught one walleye ever by jigging. Trolling is most common.
What size hook were you using? Also, what brand of cannonball weights did you get and where did you get them? Thanks.
Great video thanks for the tips. Liked and subbed
do you find fish before you fish? sonar
Great vid rlly helped!
What size Eagle Claw re-volve hook should I use? There is 1, 2, 4, and 1/0

Flatlander69 try deeper.. 20ft spots would be 25-30ft now with the water higher.. so try 30-40ft could help you catch bigger Walleye.
Ver y very good !

The portion on fishing slip bobbers was good.
how did you drill your hole in the slip float?
Just used a tiny drill bit, size depends on the float. Thanks for watching
Not everyone has a boat.
What do recommend fishing from shore?
Follow the shore to your nearest boat retailer 😂

Jason Rigsby why are you watching a beginner video if you Know so much. He also said why he uses 3/8 oz pay attention.
Vers de terre
if you want your face can be seen, loose the cap. Second option is using reflective lighting , that if you have a decent cameraman.
a quick change what?
Sound great as was the information, but you talked so fast, I couldn't keep up with you. Also, you were in the dark, so when you tried to show us the hooks and how you set your line, I couldn't see anything. Slow down your verbal instruction, and angle your camera so we can see you please.
You
By the way, are you on speed? Wow, talk about too much coffee.....
