Great reaction. Although this is a stunning performance to watch, try again with your eyes closed and just listen to her. It's a whole different experience!!!!
It's impossible to stay true to the original by Judy Garland, for there is no way that anyone could surpass it. The actor Van Johnson said that he attended a get together at Judy's home with numerous Hollywood members and Judy proceeded to serenade them through the night and into the late morning with song after song which culminated in 'Over The Rainbow'. Johnson said it was the most spectacular evening event ever attended. I'm glad Sydnie went her own way with it, for it was an exceptional interpretation of the song and very, very satisfying.
The other instrument with the piano is either a couple of violins or a keyboard made to sound like violins. Judging by the latter sound, I think it was a keyboard. I believe the applause was the longest sustained applause they've ever had on BGT. I watched the time on the video. Counting from Sydnie's last note until the end of Amanda's comments - though the applause actually started a little earlier and went a little later - there was 1 minute and 6 seconds of sustained, full volume applause. 😮❤
Sidnie has a music video of starlight express its amazing, also thought you should know she has her first album called my way it's due for release on september 20th
Nice reaction again to Sydnie. Loren Allred (the original singer of Never Enough) put together that version on AGT Fantasy League earlier this year. You even heard her studio version in the background after Sydnie finished singing Tomorrow in her audition. And Loren and Sydnie have a special relationship as Loren is Sydnie’s idol. They actually met in London in July. Here’s the link to Loren’s AGT Fantasy League version: th-cam.com/video/2G7AOscKjE0/w-d-xo.html
If there is anyone who thinks they can out sing Sydnie then go ahead and swing at it because you can't. Easy to see and hear why she was passed over for parts she would have Blown the other performers off the stage she is THE STAR!!!
Sydnie pops open the champagne of her personality early on, smiling throughout, because she has finally found her calling on the concert stage. I hope she does NOT perform in Broadway or West End shows, but will instead feature show tunes in concert where her personality and creativity can triumph. Keep it real --you have discovered yourself.
You're right, the arrangement is Allred's. She does add some ruffles and flourishes and longer belts, but kudo's to Lauren. Now, waiting for Sydnie to kill Judy Garland's version. By the way, Simon heard both performances, and the the Allred version was played during the golden buzzer celebration for Tomorrow.
@@ericzeichert511 Simon heard that version months earlier when Loren sang it on AGT Fantasy League. Also, you probably know Loren is Sydnie’s idol, and Loren met Sydnie in London 2 months ago, but it doesn’t look like they got together to do a duet.
@@lawrenceb5236 I also heard something about Lauren agreeing and maybe offering advice. In any event, it was still a great cover of a fantastic arrangement.
@@ericzeichert511yes. Sydnie originally didn't want to sing Over The Rainbow out of respect to Loren, but Loren sent her a video message encouraging her to do it.
I'm buzzing, just got my tickets ordered for Sydnie's My Way tour in Feb 25, I'm counting the days 🥰
Me too 🙂 my daughters treated me for my 50th 🎉 can’t wait love her!!! 🩷

You have to wonder; how much does she have left ? How much further can she push ?
Well shows how dedicated she is as her winnings are going into her training her craft.
Have you watched Nimona yet. It was nominated for an Oscar.

Lorren Alred did this version first on AGT.

Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole created this version.
