The thing that makes reanimating op is how easy the ult is to hit imo. Hokage/Jonin Minato are actually kinda balanced if u ask me.
@@zephyr9516 his ultimate jutsu is actually unfair lol. The range on it is stupid good, my friends who’ve never touched the game just spam raw ultimates and 2 times out of 10 they’ll actually manage to hit me with it.
@@-galaxy-5076 the one with Jonin Minato does not have that broken range tho. You have to combo into it if you wanna hit a competent player. I agree tho reanimated Minato has broken range. Usually I either just block the ult and wait for the chakra to run out, or I grab a secret technique sub character so I don’t have to fully worry about it.

Yeah that the thing i learn about this game coz back then i didn't let my opponents get a chance to hit me and when i let my guard down they didn't gave me any gifts as well
I learned how to play this game is by playing the cpu on practice (superhard) and as u play the cpu u watch how it controls the character very closely and begin to notice the cpu starts to get more advanced as u get better . In my mind the game was meant to be played like in the anime . No spamming , no crazy rushing . U don't see it in the anime. But the cpu on Superhard tries to portray . How u should play , and advance in the style play

Afro could've won if he were to choose a faster character. Hashirama (1st Hokage) is a considerably stronger character in the NSUNS Series but his character trades speed for strength and less combos. Minato is relatively weaker, but literally is fast as light. His combos can be relentless. That would give Afro a big disadvantage and would've been wiser to choose a different character.

As much as I love this game, these "pro" players left a lot to be desired in this tournament. After watching this I felt rather confident that I could beat them. We'll never know for sure, but I wasn't exactly impressed.
Also, Madara, Shisui, and Danzo for the win. What a great and op team they make.
Yeah from what I've seen most of the players you run into in just local areas seem much better than these "pros"
I mean really subbing shrikens and barely to no sub or chakra management...
And before anyone comes for me, I have a lot of experience with this game, online rank 33 (not to be confused with players ranked in the world)
I know other OGs would agree but that simple move by afro to use a long range jutsu when he has no subs says it all
And sorry had to add this, I currently have a 71% win ratio, and only 1 dissconnect, this isnt to brago or anything like that but just to give my 2 cents from an experienced and seasoned player

I do admit I agree with their point of "not being able to fully commit to strings", which brings up my memories of watching all those fighting game discussion vids
I've noticed that in 3D brawlers, pressure is very hard to manage since unlike most 2D plane fighters, individual moves can be more easily stopped on a whim. Meanwhile in 3D brawlers, attacks are often mashed into preset strings with less consideration compared to 3D 2D plane fighters like Tekken and VF.
I've played a lot of J-Stars Victory Vs. + as a reference, and attack strings in that game are blatantly unsafe; I assume that also goes for any Spike Chunsoft fighter as well.

Years later idk why people hate the idea of storm 4 having a tournament. There is a skill gap if you know certain movement and switch tech like what Mina did to beat Afro but ppl still say “iTs sO bRoKeN” since there’s only one button to attack. Arena fighting games are different than 2D ones so of course it’s gonna be different

I don’t know what you guys are talking about Minato is not that strong. There are character that can cancel his attacks. Anyone who calls him cheap is because they either don’t know how to play him or can’t beat the person that is playing him.
Destruction C Dude you bs with. Minato is one of the fastest characters in the game. He can dasb cancel pretty quickly, his attacks hit faster than most characters and when people use him on a big map and run away, its nigh impossible to catch him.
jcast39 dude you have a charge dash for a reason. And if that doesn’t work you draw him in and make a comeback. He may be fast and some characters are a bad match for him but there are just as many and if not more that can beat him. And if he is that much trouble on team battle choose you next two or one characters carefully or if alone don’t choose a slow character like zabuza
Destruction C Thats the point. With charge dash minatos better at seeming canceling out and attackinf immediately again, compared to other chracters. All Minatos have to do is hit yoy and it wont matter unless you have another minato, you wont be able to cath him. This is ignoring the potential for ultimate jutsu spam (his kunais will always catch you unless you block or sub at any distance), his charged kunai have the same issue and are slightly better than other charged kunai. Again hes op.
jcast39 You make a good point there. But that just means that he uses the most chakra out of anyone in that game according to what your saying. That’s a big handicap. All you have to do is bait him into using all his chakra and while saving your own. Then he won’t be able to dash he can only sub and maybe get a hit in depending on what character your playing. If he does then you use a support character to hit him.
Destruction C And your character would face the same prospect, running out of chakra. Again that doesnt not make him op.
Wish they brought back how subs worked in Storm 1, felt more skill based and you were rewarded for knowing a combo and when to hit sub rather than just getting out for free a limited number of times
