can you one strand of worsted weight yarn size 4 ply to make a full blanket ? with the figure 8 stitch ? i only have red heart 4 ply yarn .....how many would i need for a whole blanket

I would hold 2 strands of the red heart together and treat them as one.

Why skip the marked pegs ?

All of the pegs are the same distance apart. So the outside edge of the "S" shape will have more pegs.
