I went whole hog when I started loom knitting 5 years ago and bought the KB brand and I was going to knit an afghan for everyone in my family!!! Wow, I got and education on using this loom and it kicked my rear end!!! I am much better off sticking with smaller projects and leave the big projects for others!!! Have a great day everyone!!!!
Hi Denise, have you considered trying the flexi loom? They are 2 peg combination (3 peg sold separately) to make up to a king-size blanket(4-5 boxes). It's collapsible, not as bulky. You can also make it into a square and make mug rugs😊. Thanks 🇨🇦
I really like the Flexi a lot. I think the design is AWESOME .. I don't use it because many of my followers either can't afford one or don't have access to purchase one. I have to knit for the masses. Otherwise, I would use it all the time. I love that and everything CinDwood makes.
I took a laundry basket I wasn't using and dedicated it as a place to do my blanket projects. It stores the blanket for relatively easy travel as well as a working table with an opening for the blanket. The edges hold the blanket up in a sort of table-like way and it works really well.
Hello Denise …thank you…Yes my first blanket on the s loom is very heavy and hot I only use is it in the winter months yes I love my s loom and my blanket ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Denise, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your videos SO MUCH!!! That said, I feel embarrassed to even THINK of making a suggestion, but here goes... Using a lighter colored yarn, instead of browns, blacks, and dark colors, would make it so much easier to see the various stitches. This is particularly hard for me as I have Macular Degeneration, and my eyesight is very poor. THANK YOU for what you do!! 💞
Thank YOU, thank you 😊 so much. I really appreciate suggestions that help me, help the people that use my videos. Especially for those that use them for charity. Please never, ever hesitate to voice your opinions. Ok so, I’m going to assume that you’re talking about the gray yarn when I undo the stitch. That’s actually a very old clip from an old video. I probably should have re-filmed that part but I just wanted to hurry up and finish this video so I could get back to knitting the blanket that never ends 😆.
I have the KB one. It's got just under 300 pegs, and being guitar sized, it's hard to maneuver and store. It was difficult to get used to and even a bit intimidating. The full sized blankets are great, but I think I would prefer sewing panels... or adding completed side panels as I loom up the middle part 🤔 Perhaps the overpriced behemoth will redeem itself if I try using your new waffle stich!! 😊
Happy Monday night Denise 🤗💐 this was very informative. I had seen those S shaped looms a few years ago. I was curious about how to use them. I still plan on buying one i like challenges. Thanks for sharing 🤭peace 🕊️ love 💝and blessings 🙏🏾
I love the S loom -but seriously I’ve now purchased about eight -they always break -considering the cindwood -I have the big rounds -but I love love the s -maybe I’ll try the flexeee -forgot the name -thank you for all you do!
I remember you saying on the “Happy Looming” podcast that you don’t like large projects so I was kind of surprised to see you go all in on an afghan. After watching this video I decided to purchase my first s loom from CinDwood. They have a sale on them for the month of July. Adjustable looms with double knitting capabilities are my jam so hopefully I like it.
I think the waffle stitch would be a good project for the s loom as just doing the knit stitch or u-stitch for so many pegs would make the project so boring. I have the Kb S loom and have not yet managed a project to the end. I would also suggest limiting the time spent using the s loom due to its size. Thank for the video.
I got into loom knitting and was curious about making blankets on an S loom but I'll stick to my flatbed (i have a Bond so i can bolt extra beds to make larger blankets and not have to piece my sections)
The pegs on my S loom are removable so I took one off at the end so it was easy to know when to reverse. I also found E wrapping worked better because half wrapping was so tight on my loom that the yarn broke three inches into my project 😢
I knit blankets exclusively using the large round CinDwood looms . I tried the S looms but found that contorting my body to get into the s sections was impossible. I have the extra large round looms in most of the gauges, and love them all. Looking forward to the waffle stitch!
Very informative video thanks. I have a question where can I find the huge ( 😀) knitting loom the Laurie Schue is using in the picture you shared in this video?
Hi Deborah here is a link for Cindwood - I'm not affiliated - just think they're GREAT www.cindwoodlooms.com/products/preorder-7-16-140-peg-large-20-round-afghan-loom
I have a Cindwood loom and the pegs are durable but do bend slightly for the tougher stitches. Best investment. NEVER buying anything made by Boyer again. Terrible pegs.
If you like the video please consider sharing it and purchasing a pattern - it helps a lot 💛 Thank YOU: loomahat.store
This is by far one of the most helpful videos I’ve ever seen about afghan looms. Thank you for sharing!!!!!
Thank YOU 😊

Oh my can I relate. Yes Yes and Yes - I sooOOOOOo agree. But I have to knit this blanket cus my followers want blankets. 🙂
I have the S loom and the KB loom. I have made blankets on both and the S loom is my favorite of the two. Can’t wait for your waffle pattern video.
Would love for you to address using the s loom for figure 8 stitches and which pegs need to be skipped. Loved all your hints!

Hey my friends! If you’re willing to put the time into the knitting large projects- they’re actually worth buying.
Great info. My daughter is a fan of the flexi looms. I'm trying my first project on one and like the way I only have to pick up the part I'm using.
It’s a genius design. 💛
This is such a great informative video! I'd been debating on getting one of these looms
Glad it was helpful! 🙂

I know you'll be happy with CinDloom - and yep I really don't like large projects my Loomas keep asking and so I have to do it. 😀

I AGREE Carla - too many hours on the S loom can be painful ! 💛
Can't wait for your waffle stitch loom blanket pattern to come out.
Blankets are definitely a labor of love cus they take soooooo long. Stay tuned my friend 🌼

Thank YOU Raj 😊
Very informative video thanks. I have a question where can I find the huge ( 😀) knitting loom the Laurie Schue is using in the picture you shared in this video?
Those are made by Cindwood Looms
Can you use medium worste weight yarn for blanket? Do i have to use 2 skeins together?
Dang, I went to the CinDwood website & I see NO S looms! I'll have to keep checking back to see if they come back in stock. Thanks for the info!
Send them a message - they have great customer service.
@@LoomaHat Oh, excellent, thank you. That is great to hear!
Where can you buy that extra large round loom for full size blankets? Thank you

For the price, it’s worth using. The more you use it - the easier it gets
