Rigby is indeed incredibly lazy but his envy is more at the forefront. Even when Rigby stops acting lazy, his envy is still at play. In earlier seasons resenting his brother for being cooler and bigger, resenting Mordecai for always beating him at video games/punchies, and drinking Rig Juice to become smarter. And to later on not feeling like he was good enough to be with Eileen and in the film not wanting Mordecai to go to college after high school
@@dxitydevil the thing is, every character in the show has traits of each of the sins. They aren't just one specific. some are just more dominant then others

Pop's is just innocent from the sin of sloth. He doesn't worry about his friends because the biggest part of time they don't need him for the fights, but Pop's never runned a fight when his friends needed

Pop's literally game ended himself in order to save the park tthere is no way he represents sloth
But in that same arc he didn't want to fight Anti-Pops and the park crew and earl basically had to force him to fight

rigby did envy but the series fixed him and him change his mind when he realises that his crush wanted to mary someone who is smart
7:27 I personally wouldn't use this as an example for Mr. Maellard's greed. He didn't send the Park crew to space for money. He sent them to space because his son, Pops, needed to stop his brother, Anti-Pops, from erasing all of existence and needed him to master his own powers under the master, Earl. It was shown and told to us in the episode "The Ice Tape" and alluded in a few previous episodes of season 8 and even the tail end of season 7.
However, i do agree that Mr. Maellard is greedy in all other aspects like destroying a signed guitar and messing up his own limousine's interior with cole slaw.
Those are some really great points, I love your analysis on Mr Maellard. You're definitely right I believe there were definitely a lot of better examples that could've of been used

Vegeta is guilty of all 7 Deadly Sins:
Pride: The most obvious one. Vegeta takes great pride in being the Prince of Saiyans. This leads to the following...
Envy: Vegeta despises when anyone is more powerful than him. Be it Goku, Frieza, the Androids etc.
Greed: Vegeta's biggest life goal is to become immortal and become the most powerful being in the universe.
Wrath: Vegeta has an extremely short fuse. His answer to everything is violence, and he's murdered several characters.
Gluttony: As a Saiyan, Vegeta eats as much as Goku. But he's also wasteful in that he destroys his body and his surroundings with his gross over-training.
Sloth: Probably the last thing you'd think of with Vegeta, since he constantly trains his ass off and works towards his goals. But Vegeta is slothful by being emotionally lazy with his loved ones. Avoiding his son Trunks and baby mama Bulma.
Lust: Definitely the weakest point. But Vegeta does have a fling with Bulma.
To be fair Pops did help fight he punched that guy on stage while still singing lol.

What i like about rigby is that his character development redeemed himself of being jealous of others

Bc of the 7 deadly sins I’ve done some things I’ve regret, and call me stupid but I’m planning to get all of them tattooed on me, and funny enough the same pics he used to show the sins, are the ones I’m gonna get on my body. At the moment I only have wraith and lust tattooed on me but I plan to get the other 5
Rigby is not really envious compared to other people like Mordecai, I believe he represents more of sloth than Envy.

In my opinion, like with any other show, movie, etc, I don't think the 7 deadly sins line up in a 1:1 ratio, rather just are more prevalent in some people moreso than others. Some represent multiple, some perhaps just one. Some don't represent any due to lack of character development, and pops represents none because he's the secret pure hearted hero of the show until the last season or so

Agree with everything except the Pops part, I would even go as far as to say that Pops might me somewhat of a representation of Jesus himself as he is often portrayed as being pure of heart and the ultimate sacrifice of his own life in the end of the show + him going to heaven.
As to the sloth sin I would say that Mordecai and Rigby as a duo represent that sin.
