I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it revvs under acceleration. I have one of these cars. The check engine light keeps coming on, after changing the idle air control valve, which was diagnosed as being bad. Why.??

Mark from [fordmustang98guy] It is acting up strangely.Starts right up at times, then at other times, I have to give it gas for a while before it would continue to idle.It idles unusually high when it starts on ignition. The rpm moves up & down at times.I had another diagnostic test done, & it is still saying that the idle air control valve is the problem.The test did not show misfires neither did the machenic make any such mention.The car is burning more gas than normally does, but is running OK on the roadways.The check engine light was turned off again after I had the TPS changed, but it soon came back on.I tried cleaning the mass air flow sensor & throttle body, but that did not help.I really do not know what to do, & the machenic isn't coming up with the solution to the problem.The whole problem started, with the car started cutting out in traffic, whenever I stopped at a red light or stop sign, but would start up again on ignition, then not too long after that the check engine light came on.( Let me use this moment to say, thank u Mark, for trying to help me solve this problem.) Would welcome any helpful advice u can offer me.
I am also wondering if the egr valve might b clogged up.
Alan Armstron it could be the EGR Valve & are you losing power whenever you are driving the car
The factory ignition coils were bad on these maximas. Once they started to go bad, the engine would run rough and misfire. In order to make them run properly, Hitachi replacement coils had to be installed. Aside from the coils it was a solid car.
