I am so excited to share today’s hair tutorial which is an easy knotted braid updo. I wanted to share this particular hairstyle because it can be recreated on medium length to long hair. This updo is surprisingly simple and absolutely perfect for a casual night out, a wedding hairstyle or for any special event this summer.

I have dark hair with a few highlights. The end result was beautiful. This is a great style for work as an alternative to a bun or chignon when wearing a suit to court. It was funny to notice several jurors eyeing my hair! ⚖️💼

Ok, is it just me or this works only if you have a ton of hair and pretty long too??
I tried this. Doesn't work on fine hair that isn't color treated. It just looks like knots. Maybe if it was teased first or something.
Yes! I went bald for the 'World's Greatest Shave' so my hair is Just growing back in, lol!
But yes, even before I shaved & my hair was the longest it had ever been (halfway down my shoulders), it was still too short for this!
Still, looks lovely & I can look forward to trying it … in 18 months when my hair's grown out.
I think the # of knots and thickness of the hair makes a big difference in it working. My hair just reached my waist but it’s pretty thin.
That does help it look bigger yes, but it will work on thinner hair. The thing with many styles that won’t stay on my straight, smooth hair, is that blonde, dyed hair is bleached and other things and strands are rough, unhealthy hair but also easier to hold itself in place. Sometimes products that make hair sticky and gross will help.

Oh wow someone did recreate it awesome glad it inspired yaw I posted my tutorial for this on my Facebook years ago I think I even have one up on here can't remember is I did or not I'll check if not I'll do that I totally forgot about this one I haven't done it in so long it use to be My go to hairdo for Wednesday night service cause I was always running behind lol so I guess it's a good thing now cause I have time to do other stuff lol anyway glad you like it and she did to our at least thinking so since she recreated it . ps not saying this was all my idea it was just one I've personally never seen and thought of on a quick time for church one night and posted pic on my Facebook of our service dinner and had a bunch of ppl ask how I did it so I went live and showed how.

This is one of the prettiest up do's I've ever seen. My hair is shorter than yours, but I was able to do it the first time. It looked fairly good, I just need to practice. Your hair is thicker than mine, so I had to kind of pull mine apart at each knot, before I tucked the hair through the knot. It's really not difficult, just need to try it more times to perfect it, if you know what I mean. You have gorgeous hair and it's so thick you can probably style it in many ways. Your looked truly gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing this style with us and thank you for the intricate way you explained how to do this style. I will be watching your channel to learn other styles as you demonstrate them. Until then - thanks again.
