Drinking alcoholic beverages was Halal for the next ten years after Mohammad pbuh became a Prophet. Having premarital sex and Riba(interest banking and lending) was Halal for the next 22 years after Mohammad pbuh became a Prophet which means that the Prophet, Sahaba, and the Prophet's relatives were practicing those dirty good things. So, then why can't we practice those things with limits?

Brother, could you make a video about this topic:
Muslim brothers empthasise how modesty and hijab are important and a must.
But when they get married, it is often women who were not covered or not properly covered.
They basically tell sisters to not lure a husband with her looks, but they got married to sisters who were displaying somewhat their beauty.
That confuses sisters, because she will completly try to be the best version and cover before marriage, but brothers only really show attention to the ones who show a little here and there.
Or who was very open in behavior.
It confuses sisters because they seem to only want those strict islamic rules applied AFTER they get married.

      1) what makes you think they are better Muslim men than the ones who don't go for these women? ppls inner worth isn't determined by their outward displays.
      2) what makes you think they were practicing Muslim men when they got married? ppl can leave sin behind.
      3) often ppl will "change" when they want to get married. whether that change is cosmetic or sincere Allah knows. Allah will reward ppl according to their intentions. Those who become practising to marry a good looking Muslim housewife will be rewarded accordingly.
Ultimately the relationship you need to focus on is the one with Allah and stop worrying and comparing yourself to other ppl.
Your spouse is not the key to your happiness, they are merely a companion to help you in this dhunya to become better Muslims. Do not invest your identity into the illusion of the romantic relationship. You are Abdullah, not Abdul-Romance.

I think it's just more important to become a baseline practising Muslim.
Things to do that will help accomplish this:
    1. Pray Salah 5 times a day on time. The one most biggest deficit of our Ummah imo.
    2. Keep your gaze away from women, even in movies.
That's why movies in general are considered haram, because so many normalise the showing a womens skin and mens skin, and other immoralities.
Our Awrah as men is navel to knee, and it's better to be more modest.
    3. Make your way to masjid more often. Have a habit of saying salam to scholars and of asking questions to scholars.
The more knowledge we can absorb from the scholars and Qur'an and Hadeeth (scholars derive their knowledge from here) the more we have in our favour to slowly become a practising muslim.
Once we pray 5 times a day on time, the rest of our lives in terms of Islam is automatically fixing itself.
And thereby preparing you to be a good husband.
And a good wife if your a women.

You know how there’s this trend where you shouldn’t be judgemental nowadays. Well judging in the first place helps to distinguish between RIGHT AND WRONG. You take the act of judging itself out of the picture, then the world is an open place especially for people committing sins, not just to continue, but also to freely spread it too and feel okay about doing it.

There were many sahabiyat who asked the prophets and the khulafa questions and complained to them about matters. Whilst I agree with your take on these apps, I think you have misunderstood the ayat from surah alahzab. Those ayat and the tafsir you mentioned are talking about the wives of the profits, not the the general muslim woman who have a different standard set upon them. Also I cannot quote the sources, but I read up that the male and female companions in medina often got married by interacting with each other in a public setting (whilst being respectful and quickly getting a wali involved), the same happened with Musa (A.S) as we see in the Quran. I am just saying this because it seems that you have an incorrect idea that men and women can never publicly and respectfully interact with each. FYI I am not defending these apps.

I do want to comment on the halal app alternative. Although I like the idea, not everyone is looking for a “traditional” marriage in the sense that is being discussed these days. I hope that isn’t the point of the app. There’s this misconception that “trad family“is the marriage ideal or that it is the Islamic version of a marriage dynamic when it’s not necessarily. Each couple will operate according to what fits them best. Men will have to provide and women will obey their husbands at the end of the day, but How that is done, Is not described in Islam. It’s up to them. And also, I want to preface that I see the most privilege who have families who help them with marriage/ get proposals/ are in counties and communities where there are options seem to be the loudest opposers to dating apps. People get desperate because they do not have choices like many of you.

Salaam Alaykum Faiyad. Great content. No doubt that these events are not the best places to take part in. That being said; sometimes you gotta go through the dark in order to find the light.
I'm sure couples have met through these events whilst being top of their mandatory salahs and avoiding the major sins.
But we gotta be real, if we shouldn't attend these events due to what it COULD lead to. What's the alternative? (aside from Sunnah Match because not everybody likes that setup).
For example I like to consider myself a practicing muslim who prays salah on time to the best of my ability. There was a previous trend I keep hearing of in 2022-2023 in which the brothers used to prey Fajr in the masjid consistently in the early 2000s in the GTA. The elders would notice them immediately and ask them to purpose to their daughters for potential marriage.
That's definitely not the case right now, just looking at the body language of some masjid goers. If I even attempt to ask something like that they wouldn't even look at me the same again. They'd only look at whether my money and career or on point, and if I have a good car. Sometimes imams masjid hope a lot so it's also different to be in contact with them on marriage stuff because they may not see you as a priority and are dealing with more major cases.
I get that we are in tough economic times, but what happened to the part in the Quran where Allah (swt) said that he would enrich the poor couple getting married. Some people have really lost that tawakkul Allah knows best.
NOW I'm not saying that people will never get married through attending the masjid, inshallah I pray for the best outcomes for anyone looking to get married. But we gotta address the double standards and address ALL sides of this issue. Because the reality is the halal is really getting more and more difficult, and we shouldn't be surprised if brothers and sisters are using other alternatives to fulfill half of their deen because of the regular path that was supposed to take places being closed off.
Feel free to agree or disagree everyone, Salaam.

Please follow the advise of the brother. A lot of Haram / zina have happened due to these sites.
My advise is to quit making assumptions and ask at your local masjid, family, friends & their families. Regardless of how people look at you, just ask and be mature about it. What have you got to loose?
Stay away from those sites because many sisters don’t have their walis there and it’s better to be safe than sorry! Also, sisters post filtered photos which will affect you in many ways that it might cloud your judgement. I went on muzz and was surprised with the sisters profiles.’majority don’t have hijab and wore full makeup and photos looked so fake SubhanAllah. I’m a sister and was flabbergasted as to how majority of those sisters look. I noticed the same brothers from years ago when I was on muzmatch and pure matrimony were still searching!!! Not sure whether they married and divorced but the same were still there. So this clearly highlights it’s not effective /worthit! Apparently some members have mental health / in mental health units ! The brothers I met there weren’t serious and it was full of married men! Tells you something about the app!

    • @Zazezoo
      @Zazezoo 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Please listen to the brother and be very very careful. Those sites are full of nothing but fitna, zina and those who don’t fear Allah!
Moreover , unrealistic expectations that could result in zina or very short lived marriages. I was on there years ago and whenever I activate and deactivate I see the same brothers. It’s strange how they don’t remember when I remember them. Clearly these sites are not that effective. I’ve seen sisters profiles on Muzz full of makeup and filters! Filters SubhanAllah! That Even some brothers started using filters and now prefer non hijabis and want to justify it by saying as long as she’s willing to wear hijab or develop self etc.
They look ridiculous but this is the beauty standard you don’t want to partake in. You are better off enquiring from varied masajids, friends, family, even if you look like a fool. Better be safe than sorry. Online is never safe for Muslims, shaithan will still be lurking.
A friend attended one of these events, she’s not a hijabi but noticed even the so called practising brothers wanted the sisters without hijab and with revealing clothes

I'm just going to comment on the quotation of Surah el Ahzab on why men and women shouldn't talk to each other unless behind a veil. first of all, this was said for the Prophet's (ppbuh) wives, as many people entered his house, and it was not appropriate for his wives to have guys intrude on their private space, have them wear the hijab to serve them, or feel uncomfortable in their own house answering to strange men. So there was a physical curtain that separated the Prophet's wives from the people who popped up. So they don't feel the pressure to go out and feel uncomfortable around strange men.
And women have been working in the prophet's age, anyone who is in need of money works. it's unfair to destroy women's prospects when they are young, only to leave them destitute at old age, having to work maid jobs.
As for the parties or whatever this weird app is doing, It's tacky, and not going to bring good results. but yes people should meet at parents house to see if they are compatible before engagement.

one thing that I think about is how some Muslims don't ever go to the mosques in their cities even though it's like ten minutes walk away from them. The nearest mosque to me is a 6 to 8 hour drive away. You have a way bigger platform than my little accounts - maybe encourage them to go to Islamic speeches and events near them at their local mosques, and speak to their imams? maybe show them the hadiths about how blessed people who meet and talk/listen about Allah swt are, and how the angels get so excited and bring the good news to Allah swt? I wish I could do such a thing, and I hate to see people waste valuable time and resources by not going to the masjids@@FaiyadFit

Do you think ppl choose apps as a first choice when looking for a spouse???? NO! That's the last option, of course no one's likes being on those apps, but when there's no other options that's what we have to resort too. It's easy for ppl who are married or found their partners on social media to then say the negatives of these apps. Like we know already it's not the ideal place to find someone, but when there's nothing else to do what can we do.

What happen to approaching her father/older brother
    What was wrong with that
    Story time:
Me and my mate went out to a restaurant to eat (before Ramadan btw) we saw single marriage event and it was not halal any shape of form, it was taking place upstairs so we went to read Salah (there’s a separate praying room upstairs).
We saw no wali’s, sisters brought in their female relatives as their wali’s (so no male relatives on their side) and brothers brought hired expensive cars and some of the brothers came in with their MUMS as their wali’s 🤦🏽‍♂️
Bringing hired cars is giving false impression for the sisters
Bringing your mum as the brothers wali doesn’t make any sense
    Plus free mixing
    No Proper modesty clothing etc
From this point onwards I have no idea why this generation has intellect I don’t get it

Brothers don’t need wali and can attend alone. Wali is for sisters so brothers only involve mums to help
With the vetting process. As for sisters, not all have walis and imams don’t have time to attend such events, regardless, those with wali should involve them cos no marriage is valid without a wali.
A friend attended one of these events and said only sisters without hijab and revealing clothes get attention 😅 she’s not a hijabi but she was surprised how even brothers who act practising wanted non practising sisters

Assalamualaikum brother, I just wanted to point out what you said during this timeline15:27 in the video... You said "traditional" women in this platform, if they want to work, can do so from home.. the way you said this will bring others thinking that working outside home for women is haram which is quite the opposite. How can a woman working from home be a doctor for other muslim women or be a teacher ? Allah commands us to educate ourselves. So please don't indicate that working from home is the halal way for a woman to work.

I really disagree with this..mostly. its true the whole halal ratio thing is insane and weird and doesmt make any sense. However i dont think mingling is a bad thing. Its in public and with the intention of meeting for the sake of marriage. Theres no touching and adults should know whats important to ask. Also you can bring a mahram. I tried the masjid. The imam also left us ina room alone with him nearby enough to hear us, but its the same thing. U meet the opposite sex for the sake of marriage. Its easy to fall into sin i agree. And i agree its scammy because it motivates u to keep scrolling through men/women whoch is very problematic. However its important if u are going in with the marriage mindset, you will know if a guy is being serious from his questions and if he respects you and if hes making steps to push this beyond texting and into bring it to your parents and proposing. We no longer live in a society where your mom knows people sadly. My mom i asked her, she knows about the app, she told me she doesnt know anyone her age with sons. My friends brothers are married. Some people are immigrants or have deceased parents. Theres nothing haram in meeting a woman PUBLICLY IN PROPER TIMES AND PLACES NOT ALONE! to meet a person for the sake of marriage. What am i gonna do...? Put up a sign on my door saying muslimah for marriage

Your point about "Why they put the function ´I only eat halal` or `I dont drink alcohol`? " is bad. Because it is a good function. Because there are muslims who eat haram food and drink haram stuff. And it would be horrible to know about this only when you marry the person. So this function helps to not waste your time with a person if he eats haram food or alcohol. Nevertheless I do not use these apps and I criticize these apps. But on the other side you cannot blame them when the imams and other muslims with high responsibility for the ummah did not create an alternative . The only thing they can is to call this and that "haram". Because it is easy to do that sitting on a soft sofa in home and speaking to camera or sitting in mosque. It is the laziness of the heads of our ummah who are responsible for that (partly). The only halal option these people have is to marry their cousine, so it is not a wonder that they go to these apps. I am for example a single muslim. And I have no idea how to find a wife. NO IDEA. BECAUSE everything around me is haram. And every alternative I have - is a haram option. I do not know what I should do. NO IDEA. Sometimes my mind tells me to go to these apps but then I stop. The reason because I do not know what to do is to blame the imams of our western communities. Because they are lazy to solve the problems our society. Non muslims have solutions. Muslims do not. Everage Non Muslims have unlimited options. But everage Muslims have EXTREEEEEMLY restricted options. They can only make dua.
