I have this concealer. I treated myself about 2 months ago. I don’t know what I was expecting but I really like it. It holds up great under my eyes. I’m 58 so not all concealers look great on my under eyes but to me this was worth the money. Great review

This concealer really is the best of the best for my 60yr old under eyes! Valentino comes in second...I have tried and rejected sooo many!

Hi I'm 52 with every under eye concern you could possibly have including very dark purple/red circles, lots of texture, dynamic and static vertical and horizontal wrinkles, crepeyness, and extreme dryness. I have yet to find ANY TH-camr even the oldest, most mature women do not have as many wrinkles and problems as I do or even close. Before my 40s I never had problems with concealer going on, covering, and staying on although I only used or ever even tried the drugstore stick/lipstick type concealers and never liquid/dofoot because I needed full coverage and never felt like liquid concealers covered enough. With the drugstore stick concealers or concealers in a pot I didn't need to set them and had no wrinkles so it lasted and I just could reapply if needed. I never set my undereye with powder didn't know I was supposed to. But now that I'm older I have to wear two eye creams layered, then a corrector, then several layers of even full coverage concealer and still can't get even, total coverage under my eyes, the darkness ALWAYS peeks through, and concealers fade quickly or break up and I can't put even the lightest amount of powder unless I want to emphasize my wrinkles and make them crepey as f and age myself another 30 years. So unless there's a miracle undereye powder out there that doesn't mattify or dry my skin and only sets the concealer without making me look dry and crepey I don't know how to set my undereyes so my concealer doesn't fade, break up, move around, or look cakey and dry throughout the day. I've tried Urban Decay Allnighter and UD Hydrating setting spray and Mac Fix Plus on a beauty blender then lightly pressing over my concealer but since setting sprays have alcohol in them I feel like I'm drying my undereyes out worse and I don't notice it helping to make my concealer last.
I've easily tried and have 50 concealers filling my top drawer in my bathroom that just go to waste because nothing works. The only concealer I've ever tried that doesn't dry out my undereyes and look dry as hell and creasing into wrinkles throughout the day is the Tarte Creaseless concealer and that is a concealer that always looks shiny and unset and doesn't play well with powder. But of all my concealers it's the most repurchased.
Other high end concealers I've tried:
Tarte Shape Tape (extremely drying and cakey on me)
Chanel concealer that came with doughfoot and had a gel consistency in shade 10 (I don't like the reformulation of this same concealer) but 10 was the old one's lightest shade and perfect for the face but too dark for my undereyes. I liked the way the original one applied and looked but it just didn't cover enough and I do not like the formula of the ones now they changed to B10, etc.
Nars Radiant Creamy (still too drying after it sets and through the day)
Mary Kay concealers - very drying
Ilia (drying and doesn't cover enough)
Pat McGrath Sublime (looks good when I first put it on but turns into a dry hot mess later)
Cover FX - too drying
Dermablend stick and pot concealers - too drying
Charlotte Tillbury Beautiful Skin - Looked cakey & emphasized creases
It Cosmetics Bye Bue Undereye -same, emphasizes lines and texture
Beauty Pie Corrector Fair/Light, ok but still doesn't completely neutralize the darkness
Bobbi Brown corrector - same.
Seint Demi correctors - absolutely horrible could not blend it was like putting wax that solidified on, and didn't neutralize enough, very wrinkle emphasizing
As far as drugstore too many to list but will say NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop is the longest lasting concealer on me but of course looks dry under my eyes
Revlon Candid looks and feels comfortable under my eyes but could not find a light enough color and like everything else doesn't last.
Maybelline Age Rewind was drying and so thin it didn't cover well
And Fit Me wasn't drying it just was watered down and too sheer even with layering.
I dont want to keep going you guys get the point. With all of these listed and the results, do you think Sublimage will end up not looking dry or emphasizing lines or fade away throughout the day and cover well for me? That's not a product we can return nor is there a store that sells it anywhere near me. I know if I had smooth under eyes and not dry crepey wrinkles I would be able to wear practically any concealer.

I feel your pain! I used to rarely wear concealer because of the texture emphasis you speak of. I would just use something like the Becca under eye corrector for a dewy look. It's difficult to predict how the Chanel will work for you, but I can say that it's the first one I have been completely satisfied with. Just be sure to smooth out your wrinkles and tap with your finger after application...once that is done, it won't crease again. I don't set it with powder.

Same with me. The only other concealer that works for me is Huda BUT I prefer the creaminess of the Chanel and it also lasts longer. It never settled in my fine lines or wrinkles and it really covered up my horrible dark circles and redness.
Wow both sides look great all the way through the last check in! You’re always so thorough. I really find your reviews helpful because you wear them for a long time and show your unfiltered skin up close. I have large pores and texture and discoloration so it’s very helpful. Thank you 💜

Great review! Totally agree this is sooo skinlike - it’s the concealer that doesn’t look like makeup under my eyes, somehow it conceals but looks like skin. And to me that’s worth the price tag. I just love it - it’s the concealer that doesn’t emphasize lines under my eyes, and I love that I don’t have to powder it. Been using it for a few months now, and it looks like I’ve barely used it, I think it’ll last a long time which also makes it worth the money :)

Great review & comparison! I’ve been using the Chanel Sublimage concealer & love it! Thankfully you only need a small amount because it’s so expensive. I find it works best for me and not drying under my eyes. Thank you for the thorough review on both concealers! 😊❤️

Thank you so much Tania ❤❤ If you have the chantecaille sheer glow rose face tint try it under your eyes before applying the concealer. I haven’t tried the Chanel eye cream but when I use these two I get very beautiful results.

@@chrissymoss514 First, I use the chantecaille sheer glow rose face tint under the eyes and then I apply the Chanel concealer (the one that Tania used in this video). I forgot to mention that I’ve got this tip from Lisa Billson here on TH-cam.

I recently tried this concealer and love the formula but all the shades lean so peach. I have light warm olive skin so it just looks weird on me, even under my eyes. I mix it with a blue color corrector and love it that way 💗
They do lean peachy. I was swatching a few of them and they all had that peach undertone. They tried to make this also a corrector and concealer in one so that’s probably why.
I actually love love love this concealer and the whole Sublimage line , i keep the Sublimage concealer and foundation for special night outs or special occasions, it wears beautifully and the more you wear the better it gets !!! Something about the formula and the skin care in both of the products makes it really special really looove it ❤️❤️❤️

But I'm a more combo skin type a s older than you...but you also love the Chantecaille gel which is my hands down favourite foundation so I'm really hoping I feel the same about the cream foundation. Now I'm looking at the concealer! I have yet to find a concealer that doesn't make my under eyes look dry and older!!
I have been using this concealer for 8 months. It is the best concealer I have ever used. I have very dark under eyes from birth with 65 yrs of age sunken crepey texture. Every other concealer is going to show in the creases, but this melts into my skin. The cost was so worth it to me as it hydrates, covers, and lasts all day with a natural finish. I do add a powder occasionally, but mostly not. Go back to your Chanel boutique for a sample GLASS container. De-pot enough to keep on your makeup counter. Put the remaining pot in the refrigerator. I also wear the newly formulated (2023) foundation, and decant the same way. Less is more with the concealer. The price is comparable to most high end concealers, but it takes so much less to the do the job. Both the foundation and concealer give a natural skin appearance. It is magic! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and application recommendations.

I need this in my life. I have lost weight due to my fatty liver and it wasn’t intentional but the diet made me lose weight and it shows in my face. Especially under my eyes 😩 so I’m trying to gain my weight back. You look amazing! So pretty! 😍 great review definitely keep the concealer 😂

Which I what I really want to be sure before ordering. I tried tho rms beauty and it seems to be the heavier coverage brother brand of jones road. I really loved the uncover fondation !! More work than usual fondation for sure but for the first time I had a SUPER natural invisible full coverage :0 ordered other products from them that I haven’t received yet. Tania do you think the hourglass translucent setting powder will set this as nicely as the makeup forever powder? Or the Givenchy prisme libre powder? I have a lot of blue veins under my eyes so usually use a pink powder to cancel it out.
I used it with the Givenchy and it’s amazing. I haven’t used the hourglass in such a long time so I can’t tell you how it would wear
I really enjoyed the video. This is outside of my price range but still fun to watch. You look beautiful. I was watching another video earlier and they were using the Sisley concealer. It also looked beautiful until I clicked on it and found it to cost $125 for 0.5 oz/15 ml. I'll just stick with Dior and Charlotte Tilbury. LOL
The Dior one is also incredible for sure. You absolutely don’t beed a $100 concealer to look amazing😜
This has been the best investment for me. I have been on the hunt for concealer and have both almost every concealer at Sephora, tested it all out. I have oily skin but dry under eyes, I am using retinol and it makes my skin a bit flaky and dry. This sublimate concealer is like a corrector with moisture, I used by terra hydra loose powder or waist am atelier pressed powder in pink shade. It’s good to use powder with some skincare ingredients on top of it. It’s worth for me because I see the skin care benefit since I used it almost every day.
It has also become my fav concealer! I recorded this a few weeks ago and I can’t stop wearing it
@@TaniaBWells I put a smaller amount of it in a glass pot, and easy garb for me in the morning. I don’t dry out the full original bottle .85 kinda became part of my skin care like an eye cream . On days I need to do a glam or all day make up, I just add up a brightening concealer like the YSL or even any lighter layer of Dior, it stays moist which I prefer.

I tried the Huda, didn't like the scent nor the texture, dont like the Givenchy that much as under eye concealer - Chanel is one of the best I tried in a while. I am a 5.5 in the Armani luminous silk foundation and shade 32 is a perfect match with Chanel now that I will tan a bit. In the winter I just added Valentinos Concealer in a light shade on top just to give it some brightness and it never looked heavy or cakey. The only thing I truly dislike is the packaging and that's why I don't reach on a daily base. I think the cost vs efficiency is good and not that bad IMO. Greetings from Switzerland

@laurasenz I don’t have pores issue, so I can’t speak on that unfortunately. I also find it pretty smoothing. I set it with Givenchy loose powder which very blurring. Speaking in the scent- its very subtle in the beginning and fades away pretty quickly 😊

Also the amazing things I've heard about it for mature and or dry eyes! Also u mentioned B30 but there was no B on the site. Just want to make sure i got the right one. I also wear B30 in the foundation.
I usually wear B30 in the Chanel foundations. Mayne I mentioned B put of habit:)

No comparison -- the chanel sublimage concealer looks amazing on you! I have mature skin and it's so natural and radiant on dry under eyes -- try to use just a tiny tiny amount and it looks even better but still provides perfect coverage.

Is Chanel foundation and concealer undertone color more red (cool?) compare than others brand?
They have different undertones. Cool toned are the ones that end in 2, like B32, the ones that end in 0 are neutral and the ones that end in 1 are more golden.❤️
I ended up getting this, it came yesterday kinda wish i got 30 instead of 32 the color is pinky peachy tone but it seemed to be the most popular color for people around my skintone it definitely covers any darkness but i dont have much darkness. I had to take it off and redo my whole face cause something didnt agree with my skincare and concealer and i got pilling . I was like omg i paid 103$ for a freaken concealer and it pilling and bunching 😂 i was freaken but the 2 nd time around it looked good but i need to play with it some more to tell u my true feelings. I seem to love everything you love so i have high hopes, i think im just use to a radiant concealer i have been using the Lancome skincare and glow concealer and loving that with skintints so i think i just need to play and realize they are 2 different kinds of concealer. Omg the packaging is annoying though but that stuff is gonna last a lifetime.
* O i bought the waterfresh tint to but it hasnt came yet . It was weird couse i got pilling with the sample of the eyecream they gave me, i think it was the number 1 eye cream. So i know not to use that with the concealer.
So, with the Chanel concealer, you have to put so little. If you put too much, it can be hard to blend out and just too much product. I put the smallest dot under my eyes. I do agree with the coloring that it’s leaning a little peachy but personally, I like that, because it helps with my darkness and the packaging is absolutely awful, I agree with that as well😂

The packaging is an absolute nightmare though!!! Yes, it's a beautiful concealer but I'd much prefer a doe foot applicator - the teeny spatulas is annoying too. But it really is a beautiful concealer 😉

The formula/ingredients for the YSL concealer is different in the UK (possibly the EU). Apparently, it's much better than the US version. Knowing this makes me wonder how many products by other brands are formulated differently in the US as opposed to the EU 🤔?

Hm.. interesting. I don’t like when brands do that.. change the formula based on different locations. About the Chanel Packaging.. I honestly haven’t found it too bad. I got used to it and don’t mind it anymore. I still would have liked it to be in a different packaging but I love it so much that I will use every last drop of it😍

It's because the FDA hasn't approved the ingredients the EU uses AND it still allows ingredients banned by the EU. That's why sunscreen in America is approx 10 years behind the EU and, probably, 15 years behind South Korea! The brands have to follow the rules set up in each country/continent.

Its expensive bc its not just skincare ingredients,which all chanel foundations have,its the sublimage line which means its also chanel's anti-aging makeup line

No. This is one of the best concealers I’ve ever tried. It is all about what you like though.
I bought a wrong color (B10) of this before that’s why not good! I have same color undertone as you (the foundation). Probably too light!

Hello Tania ❤ I think you should do a complete color analysing, not only for make-up but also for clothes and hair color. Everything has to be transformed in you ; you simply chose colors that dont match well. In Italian, we say "armocromia" to know the best colors in clothes, for example.

I actually did those tests and did not like the results at all. It’s all personal preference and I truly don’t think my hair color or clothes color look bad with my skintone and features.
