On Garda,the wind is usually from the South and it's nearly always windier on the West side of the course the nearer the huge cliff, the windier it gets the nearer you go to it, that is why most folk tack onto port as soon as possible after the starts, and gybe around the top mark to get over to that side again. Can get a bit predictable, but is a huge fun place to sail, if you can 'do wind'!
