I remember hearing Dan Harmon say that a lot of the time Community scripts would just say "Donald says something funny" because the writing team trusted so much in his comedic skill.
This was so good! I swear if you haven't given this series a shot and you're looking for something original and great this is it! Im aware of the Original movie, loved that, but I honestly loved this more. Story felt rich and entertaining, with genuine heart. I know I will be rewatching this again, so I hope hope hope it gets a s2! Incredible performance from both the leads, I fell in love with their characters. 10/10! Could not recommend enough!
Agreed on both. Their performances in the series are very nuanced & feels very genuine. It's a nice blend of character development, drama & espionage. Enjoying it immensely since I've yet to finish it.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge was originally cast as Mrs. Smith. she would have been a cowriter, and most likely, coproducer. but because of creative differences with Donald Glover, she backed out. both are great writers, but i imagine both are also pretty assertive.
geez, can you please do some proper color grading? donalds skin tone looks way off, on both camera angles, but even worse is that both cameras are graded differently, so his skin tone keeps changing... so distracting...
Never heard of abseiled....except I did, quite often just not in English. To abseil originates from German abseilen, which quite literally just means "to rope down". The other word for it rappelling is also originally from another language, French. Also I know what Donald means with the pee dreams, I had them a few times and one time as a teen....well, let's just say in my dreams I did actually find the toilet.
