I love kgf but I think rrr has best theaterical experience. Nothing matches RRR goosebumps in shri ram scene and interval animals scene... Nothing matches the visual delight and vfx of RRR... Nothing matches the entertainment when people were dancing for sholay and Nacho nacho song in theatres.. RRR is quality entertainment for all ages with proper msg. People were cheering in hero entry scenes and crying in komaram bheemudo.. It was best experience... Also kgf 2 police scene

Rocky's purpose is not to serve the poor. His calling is to become insanely rich and and be a brand. It never mattered to him what he is doing is good or evil.
Not saying the character is a cruel hearted man. But someone in the reaction panel said something like they are waiting for Rocky to help poor people like a saviour. Just mentioning that, that is not his calling.
In an interview the director of this movie was asked what a person can learn from this movie and he simply said " I am making a gangster movie i don't know why people are expecting to learn anything from it but if we go deeper there can be learnings like how he wanted to complete the promise he gave to his mother and how he helped the poor come out that hell" But rocky's ultimate motive is to be the richest in the world that's what his mom wanted because all her life he saw his mom struggling with poverty and in the chapter 2 trailer he said one day he will bring all gold from the world just for his mom. There is a dialogue where he is asked what does he want and he said duniya (world). I agree with you all that the initial 45 min were too fast a lot was happening but with time everything falls in place. But if you guys are expecting it to be like Bahubali how he fought for the right and a how a hero he was then please don't its not like bahubali, rocky is both the hero and the villain and the chapter2 is worth the watch it just gets better and more new characters. And Yash said that one needs to watch KGF 2-3 times to understand it better.

THIS!! This is the most important factor of the second movie that many didn't even understand in the theatres, it was so disappointing how bad the audience couldn't catch that. The 'Prakash Raj' line in the end where he says "if my father had narrated this story.." THAT LINE WAS FAR TOO IMPORTANT! People should spare some attention for the dialogues in the second movie. It's so important.

Dude, I don't think they're routing for it. By seeing their reaction itself you can tell not all of them in a same room. Maybe, they're going watch chapter 2 when it's on Amazon Prime ig. By then, they'll be forgotten about chapter 1 because there are so many things to catch up or remember it. Like characters, incidents that took short editing to explain.
Chapter one was the best one and I don’t think they r satisfied with it...definitely they r not going to like second one as it’s more action, less soul...few of my foreign friends liked chapter one...but this family are god fearing, vanilla family who lacks personality...they all look like straight forward church going folks so kgf is definitely not for them...
If you really wanna see different sides of the character Rocky, watching KGF Chapter 2 is really worthy for u guys .... It clearly shows u what his motive has been all this time . Romance is my another favourite thing in part 2 cuz even when Rocky loves someone he does it so differently, the scale is just different. There are many mass scenes and dialogues which really made us Indian audience scream our lungs out (don't know if u will react that way but). The music is so good too, especially the "Mehbooba" song which i really didn't expect in a movie like this. Also don't forget to watch post credit scene!!
But still Chapter 1 far better than Chapter 2. You may not agree with me NOW as KGF 2 wind blowing right now. But as soon as it settles, after few weeks or months or years, most of us will agree to this 🙃
i like this movie because they didn't show him as only hero or only villian but in middle because good and bad is subjective to everyone. sometimes i say lies that doesn't mean i am bad fully but same time i am not full good either. that is the point i want to make.
I disagree with the mom completely here. The movie never told that his purpose was to help the poor. Even her mom said that "she doesn't care the path he choses but he has to die as a wealthy and powerful man". Also no-one was present since his childhood to teach him which path should be taken. He went with the flow, and adapted to his surroundings of crime and power. There is a scene where a begger comes in his childhood and tells him that power is everything in this selfish world. He started adopting from that day. Obviously, the director can't keep showing whole of his childhood and how he was shaped, they just gave a glimpse and left it to audience's imagination to understand his childhood. You need to understand the director's vision and how he wants to tell a story. You can't keep expecting intellectual stuff in every movie. Some times over the top action is what audiences want (especially in India) because people have already faced enough reality in their own life. Now they want to see the hero do something they can't do in their real life. But your reaction was very good even though you missed some of the important aspect of the movie and it might be because of the fast pace of the movie along with language translation. But I would say try to watch Indian movies keeping in mind the director's vision. Thanks😄
It feels different to watch this in theatres. One can never have that experience at home on ott or television. After every 5 seconds it gives you goosebumps!! Maybe you can still watch it in theatres not sure but you can check is there a screening in your city. Its a mass movie I am not sure you guys will like it or not but we people in India like it a lot!!!

KGF is Masterpiece. Repeat watch of KGF series makes everything is perfect. We don't know how but we expect every other Action and Mass to be in this range. I feel KGF as set standards in all aspects.
I appreciate your thoughts because you all were genuine. You spoke what you feel. Thats good . To be honest I enjoyed the movie because of the dialogues , character of rocky and the cinematography.
I feel the rush that happen in the movie(the cuts and edits that created confusion) is there just to portray how complicated and suffocating the early life these people were in. Like in a war, there are no slow mo or time to even breathe. The edits keep that pace and thus the audience are thus pushed to keep up that pace, to understand that era of life. Maybe that is why the bun scene gave you room to breathe because peace is just that- the good side.. Even with the scenes of his mother was of that type, which gives you room, like peace, unlike war. That is how i understood the chaotic first rush.. The reason why there is too much violence is that this story is based on years ago, when violence / human rights violation was too common. So the Rocky had to be more violent to dominate them, without losing the humanity and sense of justice within him. Secondly, this the filim KGF is definitely not portraying Rocky as a hero or as a role model, at the end of the day, he is a Don, or who wants to be a Don, with his own visions or purpose. Just a quite nobler version of the world famous Dons/mafia like pablo escobar, and the like. He wants power and he spends his life to get there, getting along with and standing against the strongest of the mafia people. So he has to be more demonic than them indeed, even though he has a nobler heart. It is quite more than a mafia movie. If you think KGF chapter 1 is 100%, chapter 2 is 200%. Even if you go with a lot of expectations, it is far good beyond that. You can go watch it if you have it in cinemas near you..
REVIEW OF YOUR REVIEW - He lost his mother because of not having money for doctors to treat her and working in worst places affecting his mother and not having proper normal life. That’s why his mother inspired him to become a wealthy man. After his mom died, a homeless old man beg him for money when rocky said he didn’t have it. Old man threw some money at him and told him that Power is money. He went to mumbai and started working under someone and got fascinated with the Don who was in big car and money and everyone fear and listen to Don. Rocky saw and hit a police officer scene. First part shows you what he is doing to gain wealth and power and then he got approached by powerful man ( reena’s father ) to kill someone ( Garuda ). Rocky knows Bombay is his city now but he wants more and he saw Bombay Mafia Don fear someone else and then reena’s father as well as everyone else was fearful of Garuda and he took that opportunity to gain more power and wealth by killing Garuda and taking over. He figured out the gold to the whole country came from KGF.

Bro it has not crossed worldwide collection, it has crossed only Indian Box office collection. Evem if it does cross, it would be temporary, because RRR is gonna be released in 30 more countries, which may take it to around 1800 to 2000cr worldwide which is difficult to happen with kgf2 because kgf2 good talks is only in India, worldwide it has negative talks more.
I love this movie so much because of its story line up the director and writer of this movie prashant neel has just created a whole new universe of KGF , the color grading of this movie is totally dark and different the hero in this movie shown is so kickass and cool ROCKING STAR YASH never seen such a massy and swaggy hero in indian cinema not even in hollywood . this movie has different vibes bcoz everyone in this movie is very powerful and the style and swag of rocky is unmatched he is the coolest . ravi basrur BGM makes this movie so hard the cinematographer bhuvan gowda has done a great job . all technicians and behind the screen crew has done a great job . yash on screen presence feels like goosebumps . in india or even in hollywood i have never seen such a great story movie in which not only hero but everyone is so powerful on the screen or off the screen . these all things collectively makes this movie a legit cult classic masterpiece . guys whenever u watch an Indian movie keep these things in mind ..1) it can be over the top in terms of action ..so expect it anyways ..2) it will have musical numbers ..u may not get it but most of the times songs are the soul of the whole film without them its worthless 3) indian movies are multiple movies in one 1st half and second half is a different film but in the end it mixes well
The right sided guy in below, in first part of the film you reacted on it, you were so truthful to say, this story was told by someone who is obsessed with Rocky's life. Or when generally a storyteller tells a story, the story going to the over the top. The storyteller tells you the story cause he believes something that was different. That's why rocky's action like that your father said, kinda unreal sometimes, kinda okay sometimes. It's all about the storyteller represented rocky, maybe actual rocky wasn’t like that(obviously) He is not a superman 😂
If you have watched chapter 2, Rocky will catch a journalist who somehow entries the kgf. And here in the chapter 1, he is the same person, who is narrating the story.
So basically i would say u would really feel the craze when u will watch that in india! I mean i have watched kgf 2 like 3 times and im still madly exited to see it again as i felt the day the trailer was released! As this was edited by a 19 yr old kid its way better according to him and fir some ppl too! But theres so much story to cover and show tht in a runtime of 2 to 3 hrs is difficult and tht u would realize while watching chapter 2. Theres so much going on in different places different plans different characters in 2nd part but its the power of the director and cast tht keeps us in the loop. I would say, leave everything and just watch the 2nd oart now! U won't regret.
This movie was edited by a 19 year old kid. 😉 The whole story is based on the promise he made to his mother.. The destination is important, not the path. He cleared all the hindrances that blocked his path. In order to understand that, you should watch the second chapter (the theatre experience is whole another level). 😊😉
KGF 1 is not a perfect movie , It never will be . But over the time KGF and Rocky grew on me . The fast cuts and chops made the 1st half of KGF 1 very hard to follow and 2nd half makes your heartbeat fast and you roar with Rocky . Mind you , Ist half of KGF 2 is awesome and you might find 2nd half long and tiring. But the rush you feel through your blood vessels when background music meets Rocky is just outstanding.
OK.. I guess you guys missed the very important thing.. this is all about the promise he has made to his mother(to be the richest man in the world). In that process he will help ppl but there is also an agenda to it. I would suggest you to watch it again as it's very fast paced movie and you have missed the few nuances of the movie.

KGF has been made keeping the sensitivities of the Indian audience in mind. Westerners haven't loved this movie in toto, maybe in bits and pieces. This movie has a huge craze in Indian subcontinent. It has now become the second highest grossing movie in India of all time!!

The character Rocky is influenced by 70's & 80's Angry young man (most of amitabh bachchan movies) but in last decades less movie made on this topic so when KGF comes people related it to Bachchan's movie.
I know how is difficult it to read subtitles and the same time seen the scenes, specially when everything is going fast like this movie. But you all did it. Awesome reaction.. please do watch the 2nd chapter in the theatre.. its still running in theatres. The 2nd chapter is exceptionally beautiful compared to 1st chapter, less violent compared to 1st chapter but more action packed & having goosebumps scenes.
Fact: Chapter 2 contains post-credit scenes, so watch it as if you were watching a Marvel movie. And, yes, he is both a hero and a villain because a hero solves all problems while a villain creates new ones. You may have noticed at the end of Chapter 1 that a death warrant was issued against him as India's most wanted criminal, as well as the introduction of some new characters as Rocky's adversaries. He also brings up more international issues in Chapter 2. Watch Chapter 2 as you would a Marvel movie, as it contains post-credit scenes.
This is the movie that gave me satisfaction that I watched a very good movie which is technically great. I love this movie. I nearly watched this movie for around 20 or more times I guess. First time when I watched kgf 1 in theater....I felt the movie especially in the starting was very boring, couldn't sit for long time.. literally i got irritated watching the film..really didn't like the 1st half because the story plot was not clear..but 2nd half & Climax was my Favorite. Later on I watched the same kgf 1 for the second time on OTT , then I got clarity and understood the 1st half and goshhh I started loving the film more....after watching multiple times I say I Loved the story, music, Dialouges in this film. And was eagerly waited for part 2..after watching part 2, trust me part 1 was really nothing. Kgf 2 is literally more than Hollywood level. Part 2 is Must Watch 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and 2nd part will not make u feel bored for sure. Nice reaction fam🔥👌❤
I don't know why everyone is complaining about the editing, i think it was very different. It simultaneously shows Rocky's past, present and future in a parallel. I was fascinated by Rocky's character. He is not black and white, but in the gray zone. He is violent, quirky, emotional. It was always about keeping his promise to his mother. Also, it was all about survival. His aim is to being rich and powerful. People are comparing it to Bahubali and RRR. Those were good movies too, but they were simple narratives. But KGF is more complicated and layered. And, there in lies it's strength.
try an Indian movie called Anniyan, director : Shankar. it is a marvelous movie that talks about multiple personalities. it is really amazing to watch with family. Expecting the reaction video soon ☺️
It is one of my fav movie and I'm from South too but I don't think it's not a perfect time or a perfect movie for them to watch it together. Indeed it has a good storyline but there are some real cheesy and corny moments in it if you watch it in 2022 esp for them since they're not familiar with those type of movies when it comes to India. @@afkgamersff6194 Moonknight was released this year and Aparichit was released on 2015 da! If you're talking about comic book then I don't think comic book of MK wass that accurate or well known. Aparichit was inspired from a person who had a split personality disorder, I don't really remember his name but after listening to his part of story Shankar added crisp in it. Even Marv fans didn't know much about MoonKnight since it wasn't popular at that time not even comics.

Rocky promised his mother that he will be a very powerful and very rich man before he die. so he was laying his own path as his mom said "no matter what you do and no matter how you live"...... so he never stepped back. first for his existence... then for his survival and then for his promise to his mom, he rose step by step to that level. He want to rule the world as promised to his mom. the entire story is based on this single point.
He just wanted to rule whichever the powerful territory is due to his mom's promise. Initially it was Mumbai but as he came to know someone is bigger than a Mumbai Don, he became CURIOUS (remember scene at beach before going to Bangalore). Also look at his personality do u still want to know from where his powers come😂 Now u like his character, you will enjoy 1st part too. ICONIC character n movie. The way he occupies screen, never watched any character do so effectively. ROCKING STAR YASH was made for this character ROCKY, u see that😁 Best of luck for chapter 2 💪🙌✌
your moms review is absolutely correct, its the depiction of the actual suffering and daily life of the workers in KGF. they had to work on the radioactive contaminants which led them suffer from severe diseases. rocky is just a fictional character they add to showcase Kollar Gold Field story.

In an interview the director of this movie was asked what a person can learn from this movie and he simply said " I am making a gangster movie i don't know why people are expecting to learn anything from it but if we go deeper there can be learnings like how he wanted to complete the promise he gave to his mother and how he helped the poor come out that hell" But rocky's ultimate motive is to be the richest in the world that's what his mom wanted because all her life he saw his mom struggling with poverty and in the chapter 2 trailer he said one day he will bring all gold from the world just for his mom. There is a dialogue where he is asked what does he want and he said duniya (world). I agree with you all that the initial 45 min were too fast a lot was happening but with time everything falls in place. But if you guys are expecting it to be like Bahubali how he fought for the right and a how a hero he was then please don't its not like bahubali, rocky is both the hero and the villain and the chapter2 is worth the watch it just gets better and more new characters. And Yash said that one needs to watch KGF 2-3 times to understand it better.

Chapter one was the best one and I don’t think they r satisfied with it...definitely they r not going to like second one as it’s more action, less soul...few of my foreign friends liked chapter one...but this family are god fearing, vanilla family who lacks personality...they all look like straight forward church going folks so kgf is definitely not for them...

If you really wanna see different sides of the character Rocky, watching KGF Chapter 2 is really worthy for u guys .... It clearly shows u what his motive has been all this time . Romance is my another favourite thing in part 2 cuz even when Rocky loves someone he does it so differently, the scale is just different. There are many mass scenes and dialogues which really made us Indian audience scream our lungs out (don't know if u will react that way but). The music is so good too, especially the "Mehbooba" song which i really didn't expect in a movie like this. Also don't forget to watch post credit scene!!

i like this movie because they didn't show him as only hero or only villian but in middle because good and bad is subjective to everyone. sometimes i say lies that doesn't mean i am bad fully but same time i am not full good either. that is the point i want to make.
I disagree with the mom completely here. The movie never told that his purpose was to help the poor.
Even her mom said that "she doesn't care the path he choses but he has to die as a wealthy and powerful man". Also no-one was present since his childhood to teach him which path should be taken. He went with the flow, and adapted to his surroundings of crime and power.
There is a scene where a begger comes in his childhood and tells him that power is everything in this selfish world. He started adopting from that day. Obviously, the director can't keep showing whole of his childhood and how he was shaped, they just gave a glimpse and left it to audience's imagination to understand his childhood.
You need to understand the director's vision and how he wants to tell a story. You can't keep expecting intellectual stuff in every movie. Some times over the top action is what audiences want (especially in India) because people have already faced enough reality in their own life. Now they want to see the hero do something they can't do in their real life.
But your reaction was very good even though you missed some of the important aspect of the movie and it might be because of the fast pace of the movie along with language translation. But I would say try to watch Indian movies keeping in mind the director's vision.

It feels different to watch this in theatres. One can never have that experience at home on ott or television. After every 5 seconds it gives you goosebumps!! Maybe you can still watch it in theatres not sure but you can check is there a screening in your city. I feel the rush that happen in the movie(the cuts and edits that created confusion) is there just to portray how complicated and suffocating the early life these people were in. Like in a war, there are no slow mo or time to even breathe. The edits keep that pace and thus the audience are thus pushed to keep up that pace, to understand that era of life. Maybe that is why the bun scene gave you room to breathe because peace is just that- the good side.. Even with the scenes of his mother was of that type, which gives you room, like peace, unlike war. That is how i understood the chaotic first rush..
The reason why there is too much violence is that this story is based on years ago, when violence / human rights violation was too common. So the Rocky had to be more violent to dominate them, without losing the humanity and sense of justice within him.
Secondly, this the filim KGF is definitely not portraying Rocky as a hero or as a role model, at the end of the day, he is a Don, or who wants to be a Don, with his own visions or purpose. Just a quite nobler version of the world famous Dons/mafia like pablo escobar, and the like. He wants power and he spends his life to get there, getting along with and standing against the strongest of the mafia people. So he has to be more demonic than them indeed, even though he has a nobler heart. It is quite more than a mafia movie.
If you think KGF chapter 1 is 100%, chapter 2 is 200%. Even if you go with a lot of expectations, it is far good beyond that. You can go watch it if you have it in cinemas near you..

He lost his mother because of not having money for doctors to treat her and working in worst places affecting his mother and not having proper normal life. That’s why his mother inspired him to become a wealthy man. After his mom died, a homeless old man beg him for money when rocky said he didn’t have it. Old man threw some money at him and told him that Power is money. He went to mumbai and started working under someone and got fascinated with the Don who was in big car and money and everyone fear and listen to Don. Rocky saw and hit a police officer scene.
First part shows you what he is doing to gain wealth and power and then he got approached by powerful man ( reena’s father ) to kill someone ( Garuda ). Rocky knows Bombay is his city now but he wants more and he saw Bombay Mafia Don fear someone else and then reena’s father as well as everyone else was fearful of Garuda and he took that opportunity to gain more power and wealth by killing Garuda and taking over. He figured out the gold to the whole country came from KGF.
I think we have better reviewers in the comments section :D :D explaining the story to reviewers :D It does not matter whether the reviewers understood the movie or not.. they will never be able to connect to it because of cultural difference.. just like how most of the indians failed to connect to deadpool franchise

guys whenever u watch an Indian movie keep these things in mind ..1) it can be over the top in terms of action ..so expect it anyways ..2) it will have musical numbers ..u may not get it but most of the times songs are the soul of the whole film without them its worthless 3) indian movies are multiple movies in one 1st half and second half is a different film but in the end it mixes well

The right sided guy in below, in first part of the film you reacted on it, you were so truthful to say, this story was told by someone who is obsessed with Rocky's life. Or when generally a storyteller tells a story, the story going to the over the top. The storyteller tells you the story cause he believes something that was different. If you have watched chapter 2, Rocky will catch a journalist who somehow entries the kgf. And here in the chapter 1, he is the same person, who is narrating the story.

KGF 1 is not a perfect movie , It never will be . But over the time KGF and Rocky grew on me . The fast cuts and chops made the 1st half of KGF 1 very hard to follow and 2nd half makes your heartbeat fast and you roar with Rocky .
Mind you , Ist half of KGF 2 is awesome and you might find 2nd half long and tiring. But the rush you feel through your blood vessels when background music meets Rocky is just outstanding.

This is the movie that gave me satisfaction that I watched a very good movie which is technically great. I love this movie. I nearly watched this movie for around 20 or more times I guess. This movie has a lot of re-watch value. This is amazing. Even to say this is a milestone in my life.

First time when I watched kgf 1 in theater....I felt the movie especially in the starting was very boring, couldn't sit for long time.. literally i got irritated watching the film..really didn't like the 1st half because the story plot was not clear..but 2nd half & Climax was my Favorite. Later on I watched the same kgf 1 for the second time on OTT , then I got clarity and understood the 1st half and goshhh I started loving the film more....after watching multiple times I say I Loved the story, music, Dialouges in this film. And was eagerly waited for part 2..after watching part 2, trust me part 1 was really nothing. Kgf 2 is literally more than Hollywood level. Part 2 is Must Watch 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and 2nd part will not make u feel bored for sure.

I don't know why everyone is complaining about the editing, i think it was very different. It simultaneously shows Rocky's past, present and future in a parallel. I was fascinated by Rocky's character. He is not black and white, but in the gray zone. He is violent, quirky, emotional. It was always about keeping his promise to his mother. Also, it was all about survival. His aim is to being rich and powerful. People are comparing it to Bahubali and RRR. Those were good movies too, but they were simple narratives. But KGF is more complicated and layered. And, there in lies it's strength.

It is one of my fav movie and I'm from South too but I don't think it's not a perfect time or a perfect movie for them to watch it together. Indeed it has a good storyline but there are some real cheesy and corny moments in it if you watch it in 2022 esp for them since they're not familiar with those type of movies when it comes to India. this movie need to be watched 2-3 times to understand the internal details clearly,when i watched for first time ,me too had so many doubts but after watching for 3rd time they got cleared....for some movies of any country ,we need to watch several times to undestand the concept
if u liked this movie ,chapter 2 is litrally 10 times more better than the 1st ,it will never disapoints u in any way

I already mentioned this in comment section: Stop forcing then to react on it just because you want them to. It's not the type of movie they'd love. KGF isn't everyone's cup of tea. The emotions & dialogues cannot be taken seriously when you're depend upon subtitles.
Atleast from now stop asking them to react commercial masala movies like Anniyan (Aparichit), Saaho and more.

If you're talking about comic book then I don't think comic book of MK wass that accurate or well known.
Aparichit was inspired from a person who had a split personality disorder, I don't really remember his name but after listening to his part of story Shankar added crisp in it. Even Marv fans didn't know much about MoonKnight since it wasn't popular at that time not even comics.

Rocky promised his mother that he will be a very powerful and very rich man before he die. so he was laying his own path as his mom said "no matter what you do and no matter how you live"...... so he never stepped back. first for his existence... then for his survival and then for his promise to his mom, he rose step by step to that level. He want to rule the world as promised to his mom. the entire story is based on this single point.
He just wanted to rule whichever the powerful territory is due to his mom's promise. Initially it was Mumbai but as he came to know someone is bigger than a Mumbai Don, he became CURIOUS (remember scene at beach before going to Bangalore). Also look at his personality do u still want to know from where his powers come😂 Now u like his character, you will enjoy 1st part too. ICONIC character n movie. The way he occupies screen, never watched any character do so effectively. ROCKING STAR YASH was made for this character ROCKY, u see that😁 Best of luck for chapter 2 💪🙌✌

your moms review is absolutely correct, its the depiction of the actual suffering and daily life of the workers in KGF. they had to work on the radioactive contaminants which led them suffer from severe diseases. rocky is just a fictional character they add to showcase Kollar Gold Field story.
KGF series is an anti Hero film it's against CAPITALISM ,, which were used to made in India in 1970s and 80's in India, Angry young man character,, that's why Americans don't like it 👍👍👍👍
