I used to live in Portland, Oregon and the vintage shopping / thrifting is insane out there. I went treasure hunting every weekend as a hobby. It takes time, skill, and luck to find amazing pieces, but they are out there! My favorite items in my closet are from those days. I currently don't live in a city with decent consignment / vintage shops, so instead I constantly scour Depop or Poshmark. Visiting Paris in a week though & will definitely check out these spots :) :)

Oh, that video was so, so lovely! Such a lovely pace and such lovely tones. I've watched it twice already.
Here in Copenhagen, there is still a feel of summer and temperatures around 24 degrees celcius (that is summer in DK), but the autumn chill is starting to creep in, and I love it! I am absolutely an autumn person. No doubt!
And I have this gorgeous vintage wool cape in this chestnut coppery color. It is at the tailor's right now getting a new lining, and it is nowhere chilly enough to wear it yet, but oooh how I long for it. Woolen trousers, a crisp white button down, a classic vest and blazer in a different color, and then the cape on top. Oh, I feel almost giddy!
I adored that you took us to your favorite vintage shopping spots! As you know, I buy 99% of my clothes in vintage shops and have done so for years. It is such a different way to shop! A very different mindset!
I have a list too, and I am very picky as to what I actually buy. It takes me ages to find what I am looking for, but I consider the time searching treasure hunting, Looking for stories in objects. I adore it!
I also very rarely think in relation to seasons when I shop. I know how long it takes to find the really great pieces. If I find something that might be for me, but the object is not on my list, it HAS to feel perfect to me before I buy it. And really perfect, not just retail-therapy-I-need-to-buy-something perfect. If not, then I snatch a picture of it and allow myself to put it into consideration.
It works for me, and it feels much, much kinder towards myself and my body to not insist I have to buy something that day even if I am too large for most of the things I find and they don't fit my body. I can more easily dismiss the purchase.
Such a long comment (again) - sorry :) I was just to happy to see a video from you AND you showed us vintage shops to boot!

Great video. Loved the slow intentional vibes and relaxing music. The nice cozy dark shop at the beginning was so nice.

This was a fun video and enjoyed the vintage shops. It is a lot of work picking clothes at Vintage shops, but then again, it is sometimes very hard at many regular shops. When we are specific in our needs that is when there is a bit of a challenge. Better to have the challenge, as you state good to just purchase what you truly need and not come home with things not needed. Time and patience makes these outings fun. I find it so stressful looking now for winter boots and having to try so many on in the regular stores to get the perfect boot, so we all have to be in the mood to have patience the days out doing our clothes shopping. Keep taking us with you.

I loved those boots. They looked great on you. I actually like the rounded toe better than the pointy. ❤

I live on Vancouver Island, Western Canada, and spent a beautiful, warm day, at an Artisan Fair, with friends.
It is sunny, but the nights/mornings are cool.

We are at the end of a hot hot summer here in Medicine Hat AB Canada. I find I’m turning the AC off at night, and it’s now 1:45 pm and the interior of our house has kept the nights chill. I hope you have a Lovely autumn in Paris ❤️ I do enjoy your videos so very much.

Hi Jess, you have given me lots of inspiration when it comes to decluttering cloths, and things that I no longer use and I’m even getting inspired to do a small wardrobe or rail tucked away somewhere. The weather here in the uk is 27-30 degrees heat in southeast. Thank you for inspiring me ❤👍🏻💯

You look glowing! Really enjoyed the video. I have started making a list also for my wardrobe. I like vintage shopping, eventually you find what you are looking for, you just have to wait a while before you find the right thing... bit like relationships lol! Much love x
Ps I think a warm tone would work really well in the trench coat, as it would compliment your hair and skin colour. X

like the idea of a warm toned one, I'll try - thank you! Lol definitely, the only problem is I have little to zero patience haha. A work in progress. x

We are going into spring in New Zealand and I'm soooo ready for it!
I thrift (or get from clothing swaps) probably 80% of my clothes. I have a pretty small capsule. I think going little and often is the trick for me so that I'm not looking to buy something when its an urgent need (ie: a winter coat when its already cold). I too keep a list in my phone. Hope you get what youre looking for next time, love a bit of thrift shop content ❤️

This was a fun video. I like to shop but I've not been very successful finding things so I lose interest pretty quickly. I do think big cities definitely have better vintage shops. Here in the Midwest small town USA not so much.

Vintage shops around here (Colombia S.A) are not as cute as the French ones. It’s difficult to find what I like or need in used clothing store here. But when I have gone to the States I love going thrift shopping.

Building a vintage capsule wardrobe in Paris allows you to curate a collection that tells a story through fashion.
