Can you exile Cosima at the start of your turn, and then play another non-exiled Cosima? Then - if the cosima on the battlefield dies, bring in the one that has been collecting counters in exile? Or have multiple Cosima's exiled, each gaining counters?
I'm really keen to see how Doomskar will impact the format that is mainly aggro. Has the potential for control be back and present in tier 1 standard. (As we just have esper doom today)
I do think (not being the best player around, so my opinion might be completely wrong) that Doomskar might be one of the best wraths ever printed. Most control decks dont do much on turn two anyways so foretelling isnt really a setback and being able to wrath a aggressive deck on turn 3 instead of 4 (shatter) really might be the difference between winning and losing the game.
@@PartisanGamer I do think the same. And the foretell can be an advantage just for the psychologics on the opponent next turn. Not ssure about all foretell cards if they are good or not. But you can even fake a doomskar if more foretell cards are playable.
Hey PV, let me ask you a question about wording /rules: so if my opponent exiles Cosima with ECD can I still bring her back when I put a land into play as long as it has that ability?
6 Mana plus what is usually like a 4 Mana Planeswalker is waaaaay too much Mana in competitive formats, especially because those ults don't usually win the game on the spot.
@@zaubermaus8190 Again, while the combo is powerful if you pull it off, now you are relying on a whole other piece, and most effective cheat spells that work on Vorinclex also work on other, stronger creatures that can win the game by themselves. While that kind of deck can work in commander, or even in a janky modern, pioneer, or standard shell, it probably cannot be competitive due to the high cost and relatively low rewards.
Another thing to note about Valki is that if it becomes a copy of a card and that copy is removed the opponent does not get their exiled creature back. The opponent gets their creature back if "Valki" leaves the battlefield, but if it becomes a copy of another card it is no longer Valki, thus that creature stays exiled.
This is completely wrong. 201.4. Text that refers to the object it’s on by name means just that particular object and not any other objects with that name, regardless of any name changes caused by game effects. So, in this case, "until Valki leaves the battlefield" just means "until this card leaves the battlefield".
Yeah, it would have been pretty busted if it worked like that, I have to say the rule makes sense but the wording seems odd, why not just say "this card" and avoid all confusion?

This difference is expertise cards say cast a card that meets x condition, while cascade checks the condition first and then tells you to play it. Rishkars would see you attempting to cast a 7cmc spell and say no, while cascade sees the front and goes *play the card*
Surprised Showdown of the Skalds didn't make the list, that card is a better Escape to the Wilds. Existing decks like Gruul, monowhite, and monored are splashing offcolor for the card.
Enjoying the video so far. But you kept insisting on binding of the old gods being able to kill a creature. Is this why you put it in your list? You're gonna get disapointed :)
why is everyone high on tibalt, its 7 mana, do nothing until turn 8. the game is decided by that point, or there are better top decks for turn 8 than 'draw 2, exile one permanent opponent controls.', and doomskar? do nothing turn 2, destory creatures turn 3? why waste 2 entire early game turns to destroy 3 creatures at max.?

Wait can a foretell be played on any turn due to being exiled? Does it act like an instant when put in exiled
No, normal timing restrictions apply
i am sorry but do you out the voyage counter on the land or on cosima??
On Cosima
Oh man, the subtitles are hilarious....rectus pathway lol
Urine instead of Yorion is as hilarious :D
Sempre força descer a frente. Qual a diferença?
Great video, keep up the great work!
Thank you :)
Nice vídeo, PV!!!
Does card exiled by Valki come back when ability is used since Valki is not present on board anymore?
Yes, "valki" in this case refers to this particular card even if it's not called valki at the point it dies
Great video, thanks Paulo. Just subbed!
Thanks, I appreciate it :D
very insightful video, thank you
@@PVDDRMTG Aaaah, tudo faz sentido agora hahahaah! Fui burrão ahhaha
Excellent video!!!
No snow on the list. Do you think snow didn't get there?
Just got to thinking couldn't you use yahenni's expertise or one of the other expertise spells to cast tibalt like you can with cascade
This difference is expertise cards say cast a card that meets x condition, while cascade checks the condition first and then tells you to play it. Rishkars would see you attempting to cast a 7cmc spell and say no, while cascade sees the front and goes *play the card*
@@jamesmiller5277 oh ok I got ya, tbh that's probably for the best
can you explain all this jargon such was midrange, graul, golgari etc. for new players this is all a barrier.
Surprised Showdown of the Skalds didn't make the list, that card is a better Escape to the Wilds. Existing decks like Gruul, monowhite, and monored are splashing offcolor for the card.
Yeah I thought it was a good card without a home, but it looks like it might be good enough that it's creating its own homes
Depends on the format
Great insights! 😃
T5feri dragon seems like gas.
So is Fabled Passage just the best card in standard now?
Insert *always has been* meme xP
GOAT
Love this channel
whats about alrunds?
Enjoying the video so far. But you kept insisting on binding of the old gods being able to kill a creature. Is this why you put it in your list? You're gonna get disapointed :)
But Binding the Old Gods >is< able to kill creatures :s
@@PVDDRMTG Ahah... non land. Reading is tech. I don't know why I was reading non creature... sorry :)
timestamps for pauper, timestamps for pauper
haueauwhsuehusehi
Cascade is getting banned isn't it ?
why is everyone high on tibalt, its 7 mana, do nothing until turn 8. the game is decided by that point, or there are better top decks for turn 8 than 'draw 2, exile one permanent opponent controls.', and doomskar? do nothing turn 2, destory creatures turn 3? why waste 2 entire early game turns to destroy 3 creatures at max.?
people didn sleep long on bidning xD now its everywhere
