I’ve just bought a Mini Cooper r56 I recently just sold my R50, I pick up my r56 on Monday so excited I love watching these to see what features it’s got!
Can you provide info on this? From my understanding, the wiring harness under the passenger seat is the culprit but the problem persists after it's been repaired. Does doing the resistor trick make the passenger airbag rearm? Or is it inoperable still?

Hello , I don’t know why when I press the BC can’t see the Range and another info ，but I can saw the SET/INFO ,outside temperature etc.. , would you tell me how can I fix it? Thanks!
At first your temps will be fine usually it lets you know that the thermostat is starting to fail..after a while though your temp will start jumping around.. that’s why I have my Ultra gauge it monitors engine temp and I noticed my temps jumping up and down consistently letting me know my thermostat wasn’t doing it’s job.. it’s a common issue on these cars
my dad has just bought a mini cooper. he cant turn off the radio. pushing the button like hes been told does not work. How does he fix this? also where is the ashtray. Its supposed to be in one of the cup holders. ...or is it just the cup holder? ha.
I don’t believe these came with an ashtray unfortunately haha I mean you could buy a cup holder ash tray from like autozone. Also the radio not shutting off is strange.. even when the car is off the radio stays on?
Nice video man. Would of been nice if you were able to add the temperature file onto the the main files you can see without entering that menu. So annoying they make it extra hard to see your temp.
Yeah it’s unfortunate that if you don’t have a gauge you can’t monitor temps unless you get into the hidden menu but that so much work haha.. an ultra gauge and scan gauge is a minis best friend!
It’s kind of difficult to see what each menu is on your video. For example you say number 21 but, what is number 21? If you also mention what it is that would be very helpful. I tried this and I don’t think there are 21 menus.

The temp gauge is really nice to have it seems like a longer process but better than cooking an engine by not knowing it’s overheating
I agree it’s better to know what the car is doing unfortunate Mini has us go through this process unless you get a gauge like mine (ultra gauge)

You can get resistors to cancel out the airbag if you want to look into it. But great video!

I cant get the Vin to say unlock/ or code and my numbers add up to 27 …. What am I doing wrong ?

Hey, how much gallons per kilometers does your MINI consume?
Usually it’s about 35ish mpgs.. I’ve gotten 500 on a tank before which is about 800kms on a single tank
So I added the number correctly but it still will not unlock it, what do I do?
Hmmm that’s strange I haven’t heard of that happening. Usually it’s just add up last 5 of vin and it should let you in without an issue

I think I have too many warning lights on my dash to view this menu
The warning lights makes it trickier to access the menu, but you should still be able to get into it
@@DArias yeah definitely. Every 5seconds I have like 12 warning lights pop up. I just don’t have the time or patience to get to it now.

When you add the last 5 of your vin and put that number in it’ll unlock it

I allways get thrown back out of the Menu
If you let too much time pass between using the menu it may time out and kick you out. It happens sometimes
