A series of conversations between a couple in a long distance relationship are disrupted by an unknown terror.
MAPS taps into our nascent fears of digital technology, in particular notions of privacy and identity. The sense that your entire life exists in data, which we trust is in the right hands.
This film was made to be viewed on a mobile device to give an immersive quality that supports the idea that the way we view media is changing. Viewing media on a phone has the strange, uncanny sensation of being more intimate and hence more private. In this case it has allowed me to tap into that sense of security and to exploit it.
