I've been in Sweden too, even 10 years ago, I still remember that looking for Intersport or Stadium for shirts is more revenual than these thrift shops. Also, no Malmö FF shirts, I've been very close ti their stadium while beeing in Sweden, so yeah. 😅 And finally, still waiting for you to visit Poland, even on thrift shop was a hint!

Just incase you're ever looking for a place in England to look for football shirts, there's a lot of shops in Hull that do football shirts the best one is a vintage store where everything is £5. I've picked up a few gems from there in great condition.
I live in Sweden (Gothenburg) and the thrift store standard is exactly as you experienced it..... Having said that, i'd only ever be looking for a Spurs or England for me or a Pompey for my mate.
IFK Norrkoping (nicknamed "Peking") is a legendary club with 13 domestic titles. The real preiod of greatness was in the 40s and 50s tyhen it was regarded as perhaps the best team in the world. They did england and brazil tours and beat everyone. When AC Milan celebrated 50 years they invited IFK to play an anniversary game. Real Madrid as well when it celebrated 50 years
"Is it cheating?" OK so here is where I stand on this. I would be happy to see you meet other collectors and do deals with them that isn't a problem and does add an extra element to the series. For me issue is that if your intention for this is to be an informative series showing where the regular person can go to find football shirts or other memorabilia around the world and the best places to do so, then it is a little bit of a cheat and this is because the regular everyday person would not be able contact a collector on a regular basis and say "I'm in town can you sell me a shirt?" I'm not saying that you (as in you Ellis) shouldn't but it may be worth noting in the video if you do it again that it would not be possible for everyday tourists to have that access you are able to have. Anyway I hope that all made sense and on a brighter side I really enjoy your videos, they're incredibly informative and entertaining, I've even taken a few tips and tricks from past videos when buying shirts. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more Away Days 🙂

You have to go to Mexico. Especially Mexico City, Club America and Pumas will be the main ones you see there. But also it's a football country, anywhere you go you will see something football related. Honestly your best chances to find gems.

Not cheating but could lead to a good new concept series. Do normal football shirt hunting and if you find a collector like you did in Sweden perhaps buy a shirt from them. But the other concept is meeting up with the collector, they show their collection off, favs, discuss grails etc. Gives you more content to put out that way
I love the fact you go to different collectors ! Keep doing it. However I must say this EP’s been a sticker for shirts but this is the reality of it so I am glad this ep turned out this way in the end.

I dragged my family around most of those thrift stores last summer and had similarly bad luck with football shirts. I ended up getting a Hammarby home kit in their club shop as my souvenir from Stockholm.
I think purchasing from shirt collectors in the country you go to is fine personally. Adds an extra something to the video and adds some variety to the shirts you find
I used to live in Bulgaria and shopping second-hand is mainstream there. Loads of shoos filled with German, Dutch, and Scandinavian stuff. Including loads of random football shirts. Definitely worth looking into.

Vintage clothing is really hard in the big cities of Sweden, if you were around the smaller cities or the outskirts of Stockholm you would probably find some gems, great vid tho!

Remember how much hype there was for football boots from 2007-2014 - especially mercurials. Feels like all of that hype has died and been replaced by kits. Couldn’t even name any of the boots that have come out in the last few years
I'm pretty sure that AIK Fotboll has a store there for merchandise. My friend goes to their games and they have a huge following for Swedish standards. I'm actually very surprised that prices were what they were for shirts. Swedish duty and tax is very high on alcohol and it goes back into the economy. Finland is probably the most expensive.
I don't think you needed to go the extra mile and going to the collectors but it's not cheating. It was worth it just for us to see some of his collection even if you didn't buy anything
You should do Poland. We are a football mad country and our league starts a little earlier to other European leagues with the first matchday being the 16th of July, so potential away day there on the cards too!
I'd recommend Atlanta, GA. Decent football city, great thrifts and outlet stores surrounding the city. Also, you have to go see an Atlanta United game whilst there. The Mercedes Benz Stadium is beautiful. Also yes, I enjoy seeing the kit collections of someone in each country. It's cool to see what people can find in some countries where football isn't popular.
Next time you are in Stockholm, reach out and I can show you great thriftstores with loads of football shirts. Most of them are located just a few stops from central station with the metro.
If you can afford the flight, Melbourne in Australia would be a great place to go football shirt hunting as it's a sports mad city (Aussie Rules dominates but also a very large, passionate football culture). Quite a few decent outlets (DFO's as we call them), tons of thrift stores and sports shops and surprisingly football kits are cheap in Australia.
Said it last episode and gonna say it again but surely Estonia has to be on your list Ellis! For some reason and I really don’t know why but think you will find some amazing items there! Carry on this series cos absolutely love it!

You can visit Czech republic. It would not be the easiest country but you can find here some really good cheap stuff sometimes.
