Yes, welcome BACK to Football Shirt Hunting, the series in which I travel all around the WORLD to hunt for football shirts, this time it’s the turn of Portugal, what shirts would we find on what would turn out to be the most difficult episode of shirt hunting so far?! ENJOY!

Went to Porto around late November last year and went to the Portugal official shop at 4:07. Had a chat with the lovely people working there, they even gave me that same Ronaldo mask on the mannequin as a gift 😂

That Porto jacket is lovely! It doesn't look like it's from the 80's from the quality of it, it's really well manufactured for that time. Really like the Barca goalkeeper shirt too

That clack shop is a student shop. It's where portuguese university students can buy their uniform. It's tradition here in Portugal

Next time you're in Porto try to get to Vila do Conde's Fashion Outlet, you will find FC Porto, Puma, New Balance and Nike outlet stores in there and it's relatively near where you were. Great one!
Look at the top arms in Barça shirt... on right arm it is written VITOR, in left arm it is written BAÍA.
Only a real fan of BAíA and FC PORTO knows😉

For when you return to Portugal, there is a store in Porto, S.Mamade Infesta, which sells vintage football jerseys, its called: "Sports coleccionismo de desporto"

Went to Porto (and Guimaraes) a few years back to watch England in the Nations League finals and I 100% agree, Porto is a beautiful city (Guimaraes was really nice too) and I can only imagine its even nicer when there isn't thousands of England fans drinking and singing by the river all day 😂😂

@@awaydaysfootball on game day in Guimaraes it absolutely pissed it down. We'd had two nice days there, chatting to the few other England fans that had decided to stop there and the very lovely locals, and then on the day of the game as all the England fans arrived it hammered it down 😂
I remember standing under a cover in the main square drinking from a box of Super Bocks thinking "this isn't what I imagined for my first England away experience..especially in the summer in Portugal 😂"

Hi Ellis great video, there is a massive outlet store in Porto, I went there and made my own shirt shopping in Portugal on my own channel so if you could give that a watch I would be very thankful, do yeah there is one and it's great, so many good stores!

hey ellis. i'm from a town near porto and i go to humana very often. they have stuff but it's really a matter of luck. I've found both an arsenal shirt and an ajax shirt from the 90's, some barcelona stuff, a juventus jacket... but it's hard. love the video and the channel

those cloaks btw, are part of portuguese university traditions. They also inspired a famous writer who lived in porto for her book about a kid with magic powers....cant remember the name of it though...

Nice! Definitely think your chances of finding anything were pretty limited from the start, considering Porto is not the capital city of Portugal. But those jackets you somehow managed to obtain were unbelievable!

Im from Portugal, my first "grown up" trip with my gf was last year to Porto and I was in full football shirt hunting mode. Glad to see I didn't fail cause I'm a noob but because there just wasn't anything other than full price kits
Also I did buy a kit in Humana but it was an act of desperation cause I don't even know the team and I don't think it exists. 2 euros as well...

Please do a Poland away day. We have great fans, loads of shops and also second hand markets. OLX works in the country as well as a website called Allegro and we also have eBay. Would be brilliant to see.

Also Ellis, that was definitely not a cloak store lol it's a store that sells traditional outfits that people wear in universities here. Those were the outfits that JK Rowling based the Hogwarts uniforms on ahah
And we do have plenty of outlets here, just not in Porto's city center. The biggest one is in Vila do Conde and they have a Nike there. If you ever come back, let me know and I'll show you some cool sports to go shirt hunting 😄

Hi Ellis I'm from Porto and I usually go for football shirt hunting in the same first Humana, the best time to get stuff is when the new collection comes in and unfortunately you went on the last days so there's nothing special there.

Porto was tough, not Portugal. Would have better luck in Lisbon, mainly with outlets and lots of more shops, and probably a stroll through Feira da Ladra (biggest flea market).
Another banger. It is always more challenging going to a city that is not the capital.
