  • I love gardening and growing food, vegetables are super healthy. BUT lately I've been busy. I'm a passionate metal detectorist and also a gardener, so it's time to take a look and get a "to do list" happening for all the gardening jobs. Spring is coming in my neck of the world, Australia, where I have a Mediterranean mild climate, so most vegetables grow well. There's weeds to chop & drop and get soil prepared for planting. Then there's seeds to germinate and vegetables to plant, tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, onions, lettuce etc. It's a very exciting and busy time. I'm hoping to get it all done. Then it'll be back to metal detecting in the warm months, maybe at the beaches. At least I'll have fresh vegetable to eat in summer. Thanks for watching, Brun

@brunfree G'day. Sweet potatoes are great. They need to climb as the tops are a vine.. a creeper. Once the plant is going well, break a bit off and plant it.. easy to strike. More potatoes then.
But the leaves are edible, yep you can eat them. Lovely in stir fry. Asian greens.
Peppery, a bit like nasturtiums.. Sweet potatoes are sooo good for you too. Yummo.
