I had a fantastic day at a permission property. So beautiful to metal detect in this location. A nice bunch of finds and loads of fun. I hope you enjoy this video. 😀Brun
That's the first time I've seen a lead bale seal, pretty cool. Lovely countryside with neat places still standing. I'm so glad you found some pieces from the era there👍
@@tortugalisa4748 I’ve found a few and they are often mistaken as just a lump of lead, this seal has some numbers on it but camera couldn’t show it well enough.
@@ReachingHistory relic artefacts and history are my favourite things to hunt, the stories and research about it all is exciting, I live and breathe the adventures, thanks for watching,😀Brun
Hi Brun. I started this Thursday when you uploaded and our internet went out. Sorry i took so long to return. You are lucky to have permission to explore in a place with such history. I really enjoyed watching so much. 5:15
@@curmudgeinnak hi Rob, yes the lead bale seals were used all over the world, they were like a type of barcode on goods like we do today with goods and barcodes. It’s actually very interesting research 🧐
@@Speedydig hi, I use my iPhone 15pro for mostly all filming, then download it to my MacBook and edit in CapCut. I keep not simple for now. I try not to carry too much film gear when out detecting because I walk long distances to get to places etc. it’s a fun creative addition to my passion for history detecting. Enjoy learning your photography 😀
@@MattsGarage1791 hi, yes it’s all local stone and there was a local brick maker that made red bricks from clay nearby in a creek, everything to build was right here when the early settlers decided to build homes. It’s full of history and very interesting. 😀

Such a stunning location. Just wondering do you film these on your phone? Go pro? Camera ? I’m slowly learning a bit more about digital photography)

You're right Brun - a day to dream about! Was all of the stone sourced locally for the homestead?
