It also really depends on the type of plastic and the environment they've been kept in. Wouldn't surprise me if these weren't stored in ideal conditions for keeping plastic strong haha

Very true. 1st are the sticks. 2nd is a drum key. I used to have this and it helped me understand how to snap your wrists and actually made me a better drummer In the one run

We had a set of these as kids, can't remember actually ever using them with the battery in, the sound was obviously why! The plastic was a lot stronger when not 30 years old though, we used to use them as regular drumstickson pots and pans.

There was another model that had a switch (somewhere - maybe it was on the stick? or on the amplifier?) and it made different sounds. You would have been angrily impressed by the multiple noises.

I'm a drummer too, my uncle is the drummer for April Wine and yes! sticks are so important. They can change the way you play, the weight, density, length, diameter. I personally am a Pro-mark 2B hickory man, I went through a phase where every pair I'd buy was different so I've tried a lot of different sicks haha. The problem with these is you can't hear the accents, very important!

Just want to point out that on older consoles (up to and including the GBA) the snare drum sound often was exactly this - a brief burst of white noise. Used well, it actually sounds quite pleasant. But then there's... this.

Had those as a kid, if you take out the board you can change out the resistors and make different sounds. All it really does is a causes a short in the tips each time you strike it.

I'm sure still have my set from the 80s somewhere. mine had a three position switch on each sticks to have different sounds on each stick though (which is not ideal when playing). they were always awful, and I love them.

And this is why I’m subscribed, absolutely tears into things HE KNOWS are terrible, while absolutely complimenting things he cares about.
The fact that they couldn’t even last more than 3 hits on an actual drum kit speaks volumes! They were probably pumped out rapidly with no quality assurance.
