Probably think of it as STEAMED SAVOURY BEAN CAKES...

One can add smoked herrings or its powder to the oil for added flavour and protein, though not required.
That's just being "extra".
The original just has the fried/melted SHEA BUTTER with the onions (not all burnt through though), then pour that over the tubaani and sprinkle on POWDERED PEPPER 😋
The tubaani on here got my cravings singing already 😩
Can you use rubber bags in place of the leaf for wrapping
No. Rubber bags are toxic
Yes you can if you are leaving abroad i couldnt get the leaves. So i used rubber bags there a rubber bags for steaming foods.
Rubber bags are not good for the environment. You can use cabbage, kale, collard leaves or banana leaves.
It only in Afrika our home we can get this leave very easy ,me i use Plastik to make so many food.. ..
@@fitawrarifitness6842 banana/plantain tree leaves can work...the other options however will wilt way too soon 😅
