Think it would have looked much better shorter ,especially with his bone structure .Stylist could have been a bit more adventurous & taken the back and sides off leaving the top looser and longer . finished result looked a very dated ,guy seemed happy though so job done I suppose
I dont think it is much about the guy working as much it is the scissors. Sharp scissors are half the job. He is literally struggling to cut the hair with them.. very unsatisfying
The scissors are way too small, and he has to make more than one or two passes to cut the hair he's holding ready to cut. If you look closely, he's missed more than a few cuts cleanly.
I loved his hair before the cut too, but appreciated that it might be a pain to deal with all the time. Such long thick, curly hair really requires a very skilled hairicutter, which he found. Beautiful result , still showing off the texture. Congrats to both.

My hair used to look exactly like his dry and wild looking. I got the right stylist and she taught me how to tame it and give it shiny silky look.I didn't end up having to cut my hair.I am glad they worked with his hair and didn't straighten it. Most people who work with our kind of hair either want to cut it off or straighten it. A truly talented and hair stylist that isn't lazy will know what to do with this type of hair. He probably wanted a change but I kept my hair.

Wow. The short cut really suits him. I'm Italian with curly dark hair and a prominent nose--and when my hair is just long and same length, it makes my face look a lot longer and thinner and also makes my nose stand out (which I don't actually need to accentuate)--which doesn't flatter me. I think this guy has a similar composition, and the short cut complements his facial features a lot better than the long hair--IMO.
