Hey I have a reef in Flagstaff! Nice tank. I want to add a snowflake eel but I haven't decided if I want to risk the lives of my maxima and derasa clams yet haha
Yeah the snowflake eel is an amazing animal but my eel did eat a couple of my peppermint shrimp. I never had any clams in my tank so I’m not sure if they’ll eat clams too hahah.
That is so awesome, it’s good to hear that people out here in the AZ desert are wanting to start a reef tank! I got my tank off of Facebook marketplace and I just add corals and fish as time went on. No need for anything special just some research and have some fun with it!
@@austinbruggenwirth4948 Nice. Since I’m new to the hobby and know virtually nothing I wanted to go with an all in one aquarium kit like a reefer 425 or something but dude.. it gets so pricey going that route😅
@@ninospiridonov4871 yeah I know what you mean this hobby can be very expensive but the beauty and the fun you have along the way is all worth it! And that is a big awesome tank you have you eye one maybe one day I’ll have a set up like that reefer 425. Thank you for watching my video and for your comments!!
I am no expert but I would say it would be ok to keep with most fish as long as you keep the eel well fed. I wouldn’t keep it with any shrimp, I had a couple peppermint shrimp and the eel ate them.
It REALLY depends on the individual. I have my guy with a flame hawk, 2 clowns, a mandarin goby, a fire shrimp and a cleaner shrimp. won’t touch any of them, only thing he ate was my tomini tang
I loved the video but it was the spinning outfit change that got me to like and subscribe right out the gates lol
How many gallons is the tank?
It is a 55 gallon.

Will it be good with clownfish and a hawk fish?

Is it okay put other kinds of fish?
crazy a snowflake eel would most likely eat a clownfish. Link: Will Snowflake Eels Eat Clownfish? (Answered) - Fishkeeping Bros
