No hay duda de que el B25 de BROWNING fue lo mejor que contruyo la Empresa. Yo tube la suerte de conseguir un B25 super trap 80 y jamás me dio un problema. Era además la mejor escopeta que tube de tantas.❤❤❤❤
Both exquisite guns and an excellent review. I bought a B25 lightweight game for my pigeon gun about 18 months ago. Over the last 5/6 months my XS Pro has stayed in the cabinet and the B25 is now my go-to for clays as well. Like yourself, I’ve never found myself at a disadvantage due to the more open chokes.
Great vid .you shot them very well .The best there is now we no why,I had the chance of a I 1 B25 side plate silver inlay on black oak leafs carved into stock & forend it was 9k wish I had bought it ,it was a work of are to say least .👌👍
GREAT VIDEO !!! the B25 was used by olympic trapshooter MICHAEL CARREGA from FRANCE a SILVER MEDALIST and also from the UK JOHN BRANTLEY won gold witha c2 i think both shot 30 in barrels. A very good friend who in his day was a world class live pigeon champ mostly shot a 32in DIANA grade with a miller trigger,he also shot fabbri, but said balance of the B25 was PERFECT!!
For years I shot a 1920s Boss. It was a sublime thing to be sure, and it provided a certain caché I suppose. But, just one day with a borrowed B2G was enough to convert me. So in 2001 I bought a little-used B2G from a very nice dealer in Duns (in the Borders) and have shot nothing else in the field since. It just works, and becomes a sort of unconscious extension of one's sight pattern. For the majority of game shooters the B2G is the only gun they will ever need, and blow any concerns for caché (I have none). I'll pass my B2G on to my eldest son.
Superposed shotguns without a doubt are the Best Buy’s in the gun industry. I recently bought a like new 30” 61 trap special with a thin rib with amazing wood for 1/4 of a new Citori. It’s the perfect clays gun today.
I shot a driven game drive with one of these little game guns just before Christmas. Fantastic thing and despite the stock being at least 1/2 an inch short for me, it worked. Not sure what the chokes were, but fixed and i assume fairly open.
@ The one I tried was apparently 1/2 & 1/4. Lovely thing, I did not realise what incredible value they currently are. The one you are selling without much choke would presumably pattern standard steel shot extremely well? Bloody tempting for several reasons if so !
A B25 CONSISTS OF 84 PARTS, 22 DIFFERENT STEELS, Subject to 794 operations, 67 different heat treatments, 155 hand operations and over 2000 checks , 1490 gauges!! Top Anorak or what?!" I still have a 1986 one ...The gun to have in 70`s..
I completely agree with Edward. I've owned lots of 'modern' guns but always go back to my B2G 30" sporter. It's just a beautiful gun with incomparable handling. At the current prices they sell for they're a complete bargain.
Look, will you please stop telling people how good these areI I'm desperately trying to juggle my pension and my wife in the hope of buying one this year. On a more serious note how do you find the triggers? Im a fully paid up member of the trigger tarts club and I really have ann aversion to creep and heavy triggers in rifles and shotguns. I have a perazzi trap gun that I love, but at 9lbs 4oz and i approchings 70 you can see why a lightweight game might appeal, but god the triggers in MX8 are good!
Martin, if it helps… I have a 32” perazzi HTS 8lb 10oz and I’m 70! Like you, I’m also desperately needing a hip replacement. I had exactly the same thoughts as you, I felt it was becoming harder to move and tiring me. So two weeks before Christmas I purchased a 30” B25 D5G weighing 7lb 8oz, made in 1960. It’s a stunner and so much easier to shoot and carry. It’s now my go to gun. However, I agree 100% about trigger pull. I have a trigger pull gauge and you won’t be surprised to hear the Perazzi is 3.5lb on the lower barrel and 4.2lb top barrel. The Browning is 4.5lb on the bottom barrel and 5.5 lb on the top barrel… so a noticeable difference, BUT I’m still taking out the D5G on Sunday😁. Go get an old one! they are characterful and delightful to own and shoot. Let’s face it, you’ve only another 10 yrs of trigger pulling😉
Whilst the B25 is a lovely gun they do have issues. There's no point having a gun too light - it seems nice for a 100 or so but then it will lack control. Many of them are also custom guns - hard to fit around someone buying them second hand. And finally many are in need of work - and that is not cheap; replace the ejectors on an old B25 and you will have wished you bought a new B525.
I wouldn’t agree with you there. B25 ranged in weight depending on the style of gun, for example the sporter featured is 7lbs 12ozs which is almost modern gun weight. Custom guns where in the minority compare the a factory gun and also like any gun repair work depends on use. We have 525s come in worn out and B25s like the 2 featured over 40 years old in brilliant condition
I always like your videos, but I cringe when anyone shoots a 12 gauge shotgun without a recoil pad. It can be a recipe for flinching and shoulder injuries.

Absolutely on the money there
Never a big fan of browning but these pair are exquisite. Great review as always Edward . Unfortunately these guns are seen as old man's guns
That’s definitely a misconception, I love these guns! I think many people don’t understand what they really are
@roymartingunsmiths814 agreed
Amazing how that sporter doesn't move on recoil. It looks like an extension of your body

Most game guns we’re choked 1/4 & 3/4

@@ukpittscorrect, the light weight would be perfect for standard steel
I feel the same about my B125, 😀
Another cracking gun

I have 4, 2 12 gauge '73 trap and '75 skeet, 2 20 gauge '73 and '74. Such nice guns!
Nice gun, nice shooting, nice presentation. Which shooting ground is this?
This is at cocket farm shooting ground

You absolutely right
I thought 1/4 choke and improved cylinder choke were the same thing...?
I've heard of truck guns but never gun trucks...
You can buy a lwg for just over a K now as sadly so out of fashion
Salam hekim

Dive into that pension and treat yourself

Fortunately it doesn’t seem to bother me
Very good to hear, sir. May it always be thus!
If the gun is mounted properly and fits properly,no need for a recoil pad.
No need for a recoil pad if the gun fits
