Almost positive they are lemon sharks. The two dorsal fins are close to the same size. And they definitely aren’t nurse sharks

I was standing in in waist high water off the beach and observed a 4 foot shark swim fairly close to me. I waited about 15 minutes and then he swam back past me again going the other way. I thought it was a Sand shark but many say they were Lemon sharks.

Yes, there are a lot of Lemon Sharks where I was at and I was told that they are pretty harmless and won't bother you.

The sharks and stingrays weren't bad. They seemed more afraid of people and tended to stay away. A marine biologist that we met there said they were Lemon sharks and were non aggressive species. Talking with the lifeguards on the beach, they told me that the sharks and stingrays are usually there every day. I'm going back in April and will definitely go back in the water.

@@randyj7476 I was there in December, and my sister and I were watching a stingray near the dock, swimming with the trumpet fish. We saw an iguana on CocoCay's beach. I was able to get a pic of it too. Somewhere in that water near the dock, I sprinkled some of my husbands ashes, as he always wanted to go on a cruise, but thanks to my sister about 6 months or so after my husband passed she treated me to the cruise.
