The same thing Samsung Galaxy did with the flip 3 and 4. Not everyone wants all of their apps and information out for all to see on the external cover of the phone.
Good basic tutorial. My question is, has anyone gotten the external display to play media while the phone is closed? Had it playing music from TH-cam once thru several songs, then never again. Used a usb-c 3.5mm adapter w/no problem. Have to have the phone unfolded to play now.
@@love_gatos.cats_lol I think it does somehow because when you close the phone and swipe left on the screen, it gives you rewind play and fast forward options showing the beginning of the TH-cam video. It's just when I tap on those options, it doesn't respond.

You need to get permission to use it on the external screen and it should work after that.
