Very helpful guide, Lucio is my favorite healer in the game and I’m trying to improve.
As of now I’m currently struggling with using AMP it up and Sound Barrier correctly since I always feel like I should have put more thought into using them, thanks for the help!

General guide for aura:
Pushing/Retreating - Speed Aura
Fighting - Mesh of the two (random switching is "viable")
Post fight - Heal Aura (speed if you need to get back to say the payload or taxi say a Zen or Sigma)

except, the tanks don't know when to run away, i try to amp them out, they either sit there with the shield or they go forward.

@@HolyShiftKid I’ll add that the advice on speed boosting to reposition allies under attack is just invaluable. The point about when to pop ult is so so true, that the conditions are very unpredictable.

I had a Lucio on my team where at the beginning of the game he said “just a warning I am a battle Lucio”. Yeah… didn’t end well. Mercy was pocketing him for most of the fight and Lucio was not with the team at all. None of us were getting any healing. Makes me wonder if those 2 were in a group. Very helpful guide though thanks
Hahahaha just don’t pocket Lucio but lucio mercy can be good with dive tanks and dps

Honestly I find his wall running very natural and easy to use Im able to hold off so many 2v1 fights just by being really good with his wall running I played 300+hours of blood hunt and that game was all about movement so Lucio is just so ez first game I played him I knew he was my main he has so much comeback potential just by being able to disrupt the team and take some of the agro

Haha down here in low Elo I just default to heals most of the time and switch between annoying the enemy team and healing my team. Tend to outheal even Mercys on my team so I hope I'm at least doing it kinda right lol. Thanks for the guide though, gotta improve on that playstyle. Thanks for the videos :)
Yeah in lower ranks it’s quite easy to heal a lot on Lucio but as you climb the ranks pure healing is not the way to win

Amazing content, one question tho: if you are taking a one v one against a dps is it best to get up into their face with the combo you mentioned?
Yeah getting up in their face is probably better and easier for you to use your mobility to get hit less
Why are you the first person that I saw that told about how backwall riding is in the settings? I thought I was bad and couldn't do this. Great guide. Also the speed is beneficial to dds because they can dodge enemy fire more easily.

After 400 hours of OW I just picked up Lucio and holy smokes is he fast. Getting from spawn to point in 3 seconds is insane.
Is it a good tip on say things like volskya to save amp to push through choke when you have a short time limit? The other day I could have amped us to choke but I said to everyone I’m going to hold it & I speed boosted choke with zarya rein, we got a pick & just rolled forward. Yeah you can speed to choke & get a pick, reset cooldown & speed again but by that point you’re giving them a lot of ult charge & chance to get picks, we just fully rushed them & won. I switched from mercy to lucio & we won a game that was 5:30 to 1:00!
Yeah that’s awesome! Speeding through a choke is sooo powerful if your team actually presses W with it
I love to play Lucio, his high mobility has saved me from otherwise guarenteed deaths and stalling points until the rest of the team is back

Very good guide for ppl who know Lucio already. I don't know a thing about him except he boops. Now i don't want to play him ever. He seems too complicated. If i wanna play a high value beast healer: baptise is my guy. This was kind of like learning about space time before learning about gravity for me. Im just confused lol. I’m new to ow and I enjoy lucio. About the speed boost(sorry if this is a dumb question) do you have to directly shoot your rein to boost him or do you just amp it up ?
Nooo you just press E and everyone in your radius gets the effect
I’m just wondering… is it ok if you leave your team for a hot minute? Because most of the time I am ALWAYS with my team healing them up and all but I do occasionally leave when something like the Dvas mech dies and I try to finish the diva off or something like that. I’m wondering if this is big no no or if it is ok to do in certain situations. Thanks for the guide really helped!
Chasing after things normally isn’t the way to go on any hero cause they could get to far and you end up dying. Normally if they get out you can leave them unless you know you can kill them fast and head back to your team

Excellent guide! Quick question though: when would you play Lucio over brig or vice versa? Is Lucio only good when you have a rein?
Yeah I like play lucio when there is Rein on my team and there’s only like a tracer you need to bully (versus multiple dive heroes) and brig is for when they have more dive I need to shut down (specifically dive tanks too)

I was getting yelled at by an ana for not having my beat after she had nano boosted our rein.
" you know what has infinite health ? A wall ! " Damn dude, u opened another whole perspective of saving teammates, instead of trying to heal low hp tanks now i just speed them behind cover, thats groundbreaking discovery for me, thanks for the tips !

silly question maybe but as a lucio i find it hard to like wall ride and stay up like bouncing back and forth to stay up high on something to like scout or preare for a boop etc i just fall off, any help on to make this easyier, hope you understand what i mean :)
I think you’ll just have to get better and walk riding to stay up longer. You do have to move side to side a tiny bit in order to stay up though

What about lucio 1v1's, I'm a lucio main and usually win them but sometimes other lucio's get the upper hand is their a specific way you can (almost) or always win?
nah theres nothing specific you can do. you just gotta hit more shots
@@HolyShiftKid alright thanks! Usually I just aim to go just a foot higher than them, then I shoot and punch their head because it alot of times confuses the enemy in my experience. Just today I did that because a lucio was trying to 1v1 me in a comp game, and kept chasin me so I finally just killed him, then got teabagged by him when hog killed me lol, he ended up switching to moira at the end I couldnt tell if he was mad or not about me killing him most of the time in the 1v1's lol, he killed me 2 times out of the what? Around 8 times we dueled.

Does Lucios aura pass through walls or up to higher/lower ground?
It’s actually a sphere around him so it technically goes to high ground but can be tricky cause the radius. But it does not go through walls

Pro tipp against ulting genjis: if he didn't manage to instantly kill someone after popping and used his dash already, just boop him and speedboost away. Easily denied genji ult at the cost of a boop

Most Lucios in my rank only use speed boost when getting out of spawn, and are basically married to the floor.
