Ashley's storytelling collaborations with her friends and amazing vocals, John Osborn's production(his musical balance and finess is so identifyable-love it!), TJ's voice on Play Ball, this album has it all. Thank you to everyone that showed up for this, this album pushes the boundaries of what country music industry wants to play on the radio, but it's what we want to hear- it doesn't sound like every other song on the radio and the songs tell a story on the album. The entire album is amazing. But to end with this song was genius. I was so invested in every character that I literally cried at the line Patti didn’t need her pills. I can see a tired soul finding peace and joy if even for that one night just laying down with her children wrapped in her arms. Damn you Ashley McBryde you got me crying again just writing this. I just watched the video of bonfire at Tina's and I fkn love it. Ashley slays at anything she does. Her voice is so amazing. I'm so glad that this young lady has made it to where she is at in country music. She deserves everything and more. Girl your such a inspiration.
Someone please pull some strings with Hollywood. These characters and stories would make an amazing base for a series. Imagine the cops - led by the boy Pete took under his wing - cold casing Caroline’s disappearance; Pete joking with some buddies at the Dandelion diner, reminiscing after attending an old war buddy’s funeral at Forkem’s; Leroy struggling with his sobriety as he cares for Patience in her old age; Marvin buying a guitar at Ronnie’s after his last one was smashed by the new girl to town that he cheated on; Brenda facing a mid-life career change as the Lindeville Gazette is facing closure; the Faulkner County Fair pits local ladies against one another in a contest and threatens to see them all spill old secrets and the town holding a big fundraiser to fix the clock tower that’s started losing time…

That’s exactly what I thought. This album really is incredible, but I could see how a lot of people either wouldn’t “get it” or would just look at it as a borderline comedy album. This is the perfect tribute to Dennis Linde. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall while they were writing it.
