Enjoy your laundry tips but you don't mention water temperatures. A lot of the HE detergents say you can use Cold water for all clothing types, thereby saving money on Hot water. But I had an appliance technician tell me that those detergents in only cold water leaves residue and clogs pumps and hoses. What's your opinion about Cold water and temperatures for washing.
Good question. In the past CR has recommended using only cold water for all wash cycles. They say it's better for removing stains than hot water. There must be a reason why machines have hot water hookups though.
Okay so I have just started to use vinegar in my white loads of laundry to help keep them white and remove stains. You say it may be harmful to gaskets? How is vinegar acidity any worse than bleach chemicals?
@@CalLadyQED A couple of years ago, the repairman CR quoted advised not to use it in washing machines or dishwashers. But I've also read to check the owner's manual, as it will state specifically that vinegar should not be used.
On paper this all sounds great. Reality is electricity is expensive and most people aren't going to do 4 different loads of laundry, when they can do 2 instead. And most people don't have the time to go through all that anyway.
I've been putting everything in together and use a ColorCatche sheet (sometimes 1/2 of one will do). All laundry comes out just fine; also using warm wash and cold rinse. Electricity and water are expensive!
Add a small amount of liquid bleach to any load, making sure it's mixed into the water, not on top of clothing. A small amount won't be noticed as fading the colors, yet helps to remove smells.
I agree with your comment on not using fabric softeners. I’ve stopped using them and now my towels have an exfoliating effect after my showers!!!
This guy’s energy is amazing!!! Always makes me smile!!

I'm curious about this too, and also wonder if it might be a difference between liquid and powder detergent 🤔

As hot as the fabric will allow. Cleans better and helps clean the washer too
I would pick tide because they say #turntocold it’s got to be tide
Love this guy ❤️ glad his kids are doing well
Laundry tips from handsome zaddy.
Wait, so no vinegar in the wash? My whole laundry foundation has been rocked!
I add vinegar instead of fabric softener. I've had the same washing machine for years. If and when it'll break down I'll buy another one.
All the washer repair people say vinegar is fine. You're just adding a bit to the water. It's not like you're soaking the parts in it

What a great vibe. Makes me smile.
I think I have your laundry bag. Is it one that hangs and has a round hole at the top? Just got it. Do you like it?
Good content. CR always gives good advice.
Look at your user Manuel’s they usually will tell you if you could use vinegar or not..I have an LG and it tells me Not to use vinegar!!
I enjoy your videos!
How do you get rid of odors (perspiration)? I'm asking because my wife has to deal a stinky hubby.

I have this issue, too.
Rockin Green Active Wear detergent
Line dry
Nuud microsilver deodorant to kill the bacteria on your skin
Bleach can destroy fabrics. You can try vinegar or borax (but not both).
Men just don't normally have delicate fabrics and if they do, they don't really care.@@CalLadyQED
Don't mix towels with anything else as they always leave lint. Well, you can put them in with sheets, as sheets don't hold onto lint.
You are so wholesome
I’ll still just do them all in one load lol
I clicked so fast on this b/c of this guy. What is wrong with me??? 😭
I love your videos, can I get a comment heart?
