Well, Honda also uses slab serif, right? Also there’s no software called Affility. And angular shapes for strength and stability? Not sure if i agree about that. Did you rather mean rectangular shapes? Because angles are not always too stable, but they do create tension and can also evoke feelings of superiority (⭐️). The rest I got right.
There is a big difference btween knowledge and skill. I got a perfect score, because I've been watching your videos for years, but I wouldn't consider myself more than intermediate, if that.
True! I scored 17 points mostly due to earlier interest in the topic... I designed exactly 1 Logo years ago. Now I'm refreshing my knowledge to design the 2nd. :)
You are part of my graphic design family tree. Thank you for changing my thought process as a designer with all your tutorial. I'm deeply grateful for your free resources
Really appreciate the intent of these quizzes, they’re super fun! Not a complaint, just an observation; I noticed a lot of the non-fact-based questions start breaking down at higher levels, because when you’re a pro all answers become far more contextual and nuanced 😅 do angular shapes suggest strength or tension or superiority? Depends on the shapes. Does lower case, fewer colours, or symmetry help make something look friendly? Any could potentially work. It’s so hard to think of pro-level quiz questions, you’ve done a great job!
Hello. I'm not sure about format question. Why is Ai a "native" logo file format rather than pdf? Surely Ai is a vector format but so is PDF, which is also much more useful and recognizable by multipe programs.
Tom I will confess something to you I made my logo as a placeholder for the launch of my business deadline I made it in 3 hours with paper like an armature but I did use your advice from tons of videos to guide me and I did try to use psychology for the icon I was going to have a cheeky monkey like me but decided a gorilla is more durable strong and robust so changed my mind rate it 1-10 Marten Mar10
That was very valuable. Thanks! But I couldn't understand the Q18. What are the angular shapes? Also, Q19, why shouldn't a logo tell what a company does? Isn't it a good thing?
Hi Satori! thank you for letting us know that question 17 answer is SONY! I was ready about to unsubscribe LOL🤣🤣🤣🤣 just kidding man...I think we need more of these kind videos!!!!!!Got everything correct all thanks to you and your teachings SIR!!!!!!!!!!!!😄😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
@@SatoriGraphics Actually not. I agree that diagonals create a sense of movement. But I think angular creates tension. I'm thinkng shards of broken glass, or halloween fonts, or Saul Bass title sequences. Besides, according to your quizzes I am a design guru! (jk). Thank you for your response and all the good work you do.
I knew it. I was one question away from professional to guru and I had to check the comment section on that one because I was like "wait a minute...🤔" so guess im guru yay
Question 17, the slab serif is of course Sony, sorry for the editing error

You had me questioning my knowledge when Netflix was the answer there 😅, this bumped me to guru level!
@@Karetto same here then I dropped on the comment section after research lol

I’d say the same for myself 😝
Same here! I've been a graphic designer since 2014, I got high score in this test, but I still think that I'm not good enough.

Thanks for the update on Ques 17. Also Ques 18 as angular means sharp so I selected D for tension
Q7 in beginner - option B is not supposed to be "Affility" it is "Affinity"
How does my logo like? I designed it myself after learning from your videos!
I got 9/17 I'm so trying improve on my logo design skills 😊
Great content overall🤍
Thanks for always
My design career has taken a good lift since i started following the content on this channel💫
I like these quizzes. At least it makes me evaluate my level of knowledge.

a solid 15... pretty proud of that score.
I know that marketing trick to increase channel's engagement. Honda is right answer. 🐱🏍🐱🏍

This was a great test! Thanks from Upstate NY
Question 17's answer is wrong because the slab serif used in honda logo not netflix logo.
Great video. Honda and Sony uses a bold Slab Serif font though, not Netflix.
I love this type of videos. This is how I was starting to learn French:) By the way, no mistakes, I am such a Guru, no clients :)
Thank you! 😃
Thanks for the surprise test. Guess what , I am Now Satori Certified Design Guru. 🌟🤩😂
i got 12 becuase of your video tutorials I got so many concept clear
Honda and Sony both use slab serif.
Got that wrong only, though netflix is not slab serif, it's simply serif
Holy shit i reach the Guru Level and english is not my native language. Congrats to myself and others who make it 🤝
Well I got 18/21 🙌
Great and usfull content, thanks from Armenia.
I believe Q18 has an incorrect answer. I think horizontal lines create a sense of strength and angular create tension.
You're thinking of diagonal lines create a sense of movement and dynamism

Shouldn't the answer to Q17 (slab serif logo) be Sony?🥲
yes, sorry I should correct this. I'll leave a pinned comment, thanks
@@SatoriGraphics Right answer is Honda.
