I can't imagine a sequel. It would be heartbreaking. Even assuming they end up together still in the end of a sequel, they would have to do something to throw some conflict in there ... cheating, lying, separation... something that wouldn't work for me. They would need something to overcome, even if they did, the idea of it happening would be devastating.
Nicholas hit it out of the park with his Henry ❤ even though the book and movie's been from Alex's perspective, His Henry gave audience the visuals of his inner turmoil, insecurities, helplessness, heart break...not with words but just with his eyes ❤ even here u could feel his Henry's love for Alex just from his expressions.
every time i watch this movie (and that has already been several times) the Alex character becomes more and more important. At first, my focus was on the Nicholas character, and he seemed like the central figure - but I was wrong. Now, that I have seen it several times and caught all things i had missed on previous viewings, i think the magic of this story and these acting performances is the balance the writers and these to young talented actors were able to make happen. Applause to all involved.
This scene in the Victoria and Albert Museum makes the movie that much sweeter. Victoria and Albert were one of the very few royals who married for love and not for political reasons. They called it a marriage of inconvenience. And now 100+ years later, another royal is going against tradition to be with someone he loves.
I love this story. I used to think that nothing would overtake my love of the Heartstopper series, but this movie does it. I love the writing and the acting of the two main actors, their chemistry was just superb.

True, the writing, phrasing and timing is pure perfection. This scene is a great example, so much emotion, expressing the childhood wish to dance here among the statues with someone he loved, Alex picking up the queue immediately and they dance… ❤ perfect.
I think it's so incredibly meaningful how Henry gives Alex his Signet Ring and in turn, Alex gives him the key to his house in Austin, because in my opinion these two objects are their anxiety grounders, for Alex, the key is a way of reminding him his roots, how far he and his family have come since their days in Texas, and for Henry, his ring is a reminder of his responsibility towards his country and his duty as a member of the royal family. Throughout the movie, there are so many instances where we can see Henry fidgeting with his ring in tense moments, and even in the Buckingham Palace scene we see him reaching for it before realising Alex is wearing it. I think that Henry giving Alex his royal ring is a way to impart some dose of realism to him, reminding him of their duties and the challenges they may face, while for Alex giving Henry the key to his home is a way for him to tell Henry that they'll always have an identity beyond their public selves, and that more literally, Henry is his 'home' now. and also I don't know if anyone else noticed but at the end when Alex takes Henry to his childhood home, we see he's wearing his ring again. Alex gave it back to him because he no longer needs to have part of Henry. he has all of him, with him, always. this scene is a slight deviation from the book (in the book Alex doesn't give the chain to Henry, he attaches the ring to it, 'two homes beside each other') but I think it's much more meaningful and beautiful the way it was portrayed in the movie.
When Alex tries to kiss him, Henry refuses and smiles a bit. That smile helds adverse pain. As he's still not outta the shell he refuses and the music fades with just a mild tune. I think the casting choices are what literally MADE this movie. Taylor and Nick have such great chemistry and banter that you can't help but root for them. let's also please talk about Nicholas' acting, because you may not realize it the first time you watch the movie, but since the beginning it's so clear from his expressions, or even just his eyes, how much he loves Alex! I've known about Nicholas from his role in Cinderella, but this role right here has made him one of my favourite actors, he can act every subtle emotion with just his eyes and it's so wonderful to watch! and Taylor, my god. he just EXUDES that effortlessly boyish charm that defines Alex, such a perfect casting choice. his anxiety or his imposter syndrome and self-doubt are so wonderfully characterised with these small subtle actions, not taking centre stage, but still perceptible. wonderful, wonderful job by both the leads, and the casting director, who for sure deserves a raise.
Nicholas knocks it out of the park! He has become a favorite of mine. I loved him in Cinderella and Purple Hearts, but RWRB I think he is amazing! His emotions and eye contact make me feel all of the struggles he is dealing with. Taylor is also outstanding and the chemistry these two have is like nothing I've ever seen before. Both of them deserve awards for outstanding performance.
I can't believe all the lighting in the V&A is all the track lighting thats there already. It looks so hauntingly beautiful. Fave scene in the whole movie.
Apparently the Victoria and Alberta Museum in London where this scene was filmed only allowed filming to happen under strict conditions, some of them were filming was to occur after hours and that the crew could only use the lighting that was on, thus this shadowy scene. But it worked and the scene is incredible.
This might be the best scene in the film. I seriously had tears as soon as “Can’t Help Falling in Love” came on. Just beautiful filmmaking. The 🔥🔥 acting chemistry, the voiceover, the dance, the music and score. 10/10 I hope Amazon gives us a sequel!!
My thoughts were : His heart is just so full of love for him- for Henry, that he needed to physically cover H ( with his arm) and hold on to him. 🩵 He’s holding on to his wrist pretty tight. So sweet and beautiful 🥺

It's just soooooo sweepingly romantic. This scene is absolutely beautiful, and Alex and Henry's love for each other is in full display here. I've seen this movie so many times at this point and I still get choked up whenever I get to this scene.
The acting in the museum was brilliant, but kudos to the intimacy coordinator for the amazing storytelling in the way their hands play over each other as they dance.
This is one of my favourite scenes in the movie. The lighting forced on the production by The V&A turned into a real benefit as it is so evocative. This scene always gets me.

The scene in the museum is brilliantly conceived, with brilliant writing ("No one was around to gawk at me."), brilliantly filmed, convincingly acted. The way you'd dream two people would be confessing their love for each other. And could there be a clearer indication that they are meant for each other than for Alex to be ready to fulfill Henry's "daft pubescent fantasy." When you fall in love there is a moment when the two people prove that they are on precisely the same wavelength no matter how different they seem to be, and one says or does something that the other only dreamed of in his or her seemingly farfetched fantasies. This is that moment.
To borrow from Henry’s description of his favorite movie, this scene is the swooniest I’ve seen all year (and really, one for all time!) The chemistry between Taylor and Nick is SO NATURAL; they really sell the genuine love between Alex and Henry in a way that you just can’t manufacture. ❤ And while I would certainly not have complained if the dance included a kiss (because those are ELECTRIC), I kind of like that there isn’t. The way they look at each other, the way they hold on to each other, the way Alex brushes Henry’s hand, it really says it all. These two are undeniably each other’s lobster. ❤️ History in the making, indeed! ❤️
I’m with you about the kiss (or lack of one.) I actually like how few kisses there are. I think it actually makes the romance stronger. In my opinion the majority of the most beautiful and intimate moments are ones with no kissing; just them being with each other and being there for each other. It shows love is deeper than kisses.

I’ve never had in my entire life been rewatching movie many times until this 🥹 and this V&A scene are one of top 5 fav scene. It gets me as the song “Can’t help fallin in love” start playing. I’m tearing up again 😭 I couldn’t think any other actor can play Alex and Henry as well as Taylor and Nick. They invented chemistry. This movie is so special for me. I just can’t explain it.
This dance sequence brought tears to my eyes . It's just two humans in love, two souls connecting through their respective red and blue strings ... It's just pure devotion and compassion from each other towards each other . This is how Rober Frost fantasizes about the Nature . That's how Shakespeare wrote his romantic novels .. This is what peak romance stands for !!
The young ones have Heartstopper, the teens have Young Royals, and then us adults have Red, White, and Royal Blue......so far! This is a great new era for queer content. EDIT: To be clear, I don’t mean these shows and movie are limited to certain age groups, but it’s nice that we now have some forms of queer entertainment aimed at certain age groups, and as adults we can enjoy them all.

These two scenes are so comforting amidst all the chaos that unfolds. And they're both so effin romantic, can't imagine a better duo playing Alex and Henry.
They portrayed this scene so beautifully, in fact the whole movie was heart warming, there was a sweetness which made my heart mushy from the beginning. It also kept me on a chokehold feeling, i was desperate to see them happy. Just loved the movie nad the chemistry.

In the books, this line about "making history together" happens in an email that Alex sends to Henry - which is later leaked. The fact that they included it in a conversation between just the two of them, in privacy and so that no one else would know, really touched me. I cried like a baby. It had a very special meaning.
I cry every time I see this. I have watched this movie probably 100 times and I still LOVE it. It is so real and so beautiful. I can't wait for the sequel!!
I have never rewatched a film as much as I am doing with this one. The chemistry between Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zaklar Perez is definitely the icing on the cake. Like a lot of other people I would willingly sit through a four hour plus film if it followed the book word for word. Until then I’ll just keep watching this beautiful film.
The cinematography and direction are fabulous... The way their portrait that Alex is always ready to fulfill Henry's fantasy, wishes or making him so comfortable around him❤
One of the greatest scenes in cinematic history! Henry at his most vulnerable sharing his “daft pubescent fantasy” with Alex! Then Alex, not only listening but actually hearing Henry without even hesitating freely gives Henry the fulfillment of that fantasy!! Just an incredible selfless display of honesty and love! Then Henry, still being vulnerable, asks Alex to be “patient with him so that he can be brave for us and our love”; absolutely beautiful! Both actors through their talent and skills created an incredibly beautiful and authentic scene and brought it to life!!! Job well done!!!! This was my favorite scene in the movie. It makes me cry every time it’s just so intimate and romantic 🥹😭. The looks on both of their faces just shows how in love they are. Henry thinking that his dreams would never become reality and then Alex making them come true 😭😭
I was scared that the chemistry wouldnt work with them because i couldnt really picture them playing lovers HOWEVER im taking back ALL my doubts and fears because they did such a great work. The chemistry is immaculate and so accurate to what i was imagining while reading the book and to what i was expecting while watching the teasers! I felt my heat explode when I saw this. Omg. Cuteness overload. It was so beautiful and intimate and heartwarming. It made me believe in love and hope and all good things amidst everything that’s going on in the world.
Does anyone notice Alex's hand around Henry's wrist when they lay in bed? As if he wants to prevent that Henry 'flees' again. I find it a very lovely detail. He fought for his man and there's no chance that he'll let him go ever again.

It's just soooooo sweepingly romantic. This scene is absolutely beautiful, and Alex and Henry's love for each other is in full display here. I've seen this movie so many times at this point and I still get choked up whenever I get to this scene.

The acting in the museum was brilliant, but kudos to the intimacy coordinator for the amazing storytelling in the way their hands play over each other as they dance.

They are amazing together. The chemistry between the two is flawlessly beautiful and they make this wonderful movie sing. It is an absolute joy and they each, separately and together, are perfect!
this is probably my top 3 favorite scenes in the movie it was just so intimate and romantic and u can just see that by the way they look at each other the are clearly so in love this movie was 10/10
The scene in the museum is brilliantly conceived, with brilliant writing ("No one was around to gawk at me."), brilliantly filmed, convincingly acted. The way you'd dream two people would be confessing their love for each other. And could there be a clearer indication that they are meant for each other than for Alex to be ready to fulfill Henry's "daft pubescent fantasy." When you fall in love there is a moment when the two people prove that they are on precisely the same wavelength no matter how different they seem to be, and one says or does something that the other only dreamed of in his or her seemingly farfetched fantasies. This is that moment.
I've seen a lot of romance scenes in movies over the years I've been alive...that scene in the museum tops them all.

To borrow from Henry’s description of his favorite movie, this scene is the swooniest I’ve seen all year (and really, one for all time!) The chemistry between Taylor and Nick is SO NATURAL; they really sell the genuine love between Alex and Henry in a way that you just can’t manufacture. ❤
And while I would certainly not have complained if the dance included a kiss (because those are ELECTRIC), I kind of like that there isn’t. The way they look at each other, the way they hold on to each other, the way Alex brushes Henry’s hand, it really says it all. These two are undeniably each other’s lobster. ❤️

I’m with you about the kiss (or lack of one.) I actually like how few kisses there are. I think it actually makes the romance stronger. In my opinion the majority of the most beautiful and intimate moments are ones with no kissing; just them being with each other and being there for each other. It shows love is deeper than kisses.

It sounds silly, and they did good to not make it soapy… but holy hell the realization that he, Henry a prince can’t love but has fallen in love… who feels he must walk away to protect his family… but Alex doesn’t bail, goes to him and fights for their relationship. This dance, the timing, writing, just the right emotion, it’s all perfect. ❤ Whomever cast these two should win a casting award 🥇, they did good! 🎉

I’ve never had in my entire life been rewatching movie many times until this 🥹 and this V&A scene are one of top 5 fav scene. It gets me as the song “Can’t help fallin in love” start playing. I can't explain the amount of love I have for this movie and these two. Thanking the team who made this from the bottom of my heart. ❤️ Don't know if a sequel is too much to ask for. But please make it happen if there is any chance.
In the books, this line about "making history together" happens in an email that Alex sends to Henry - which is later leaked. The fact that they included it in a conversation between just the two of them, in privacy and so that no one else would know, really touched me. I cried like a baby. It had a very special meaning.

I cry every time I see this. I have watched this movie probably 100 times and I still LOVE it. It is so real and so beautiful. I can't wait for the sequel!!
I have never rewatched a film as much as I am doing with this one. The chemistry between Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zaklar Perez is definitely the icing on the cake. Like a lot of other people I would willingly sit through a four hour plus film if it followed the book word for word. Until then I’ll just keep watching this beautiful film.

One of the greatest scenes in cinematic history! Henry at his most vulnerable sharing his “daft pubescent fantasy” with Alex! Then Alex, not only listening but actually hearing Henry without even hesitating freely gives Henry the fulfillment of that fantasy!! Just an incredible selfless display of honesty and love! Then Henry, still being vulnerable, asks Alex to be “patient with him so that he can be brave for us and our love”; absolutely beautiful! Both actors through their talent and skills created an incredibly beautiful and authentic scene and brought it to life!!! Job well done!!!! I was scared that the chemistry wouldnt work with them because i couldnt really picture them playing lovers HOWEVER im taking back ALL my doubts and fears because they did such a great work. Does anyone notice Alex's hand around Henry's wrist when they lay in bed? As if he wants to prevent that Henry 'flees' again. I find it a very lovely detail. He fought for his man and there's no chance that he'll let him go ever again.
