This is when TV had good clean, funny, wholesome shows on.. this was the best show ever ❤️ hard to believe it's been 60+ years ago when I first watched Mr Ed. Good memories
My sister had a hand puppet Mr. Ed she got one Christmas. The head was hard plastic and the part that slipped over your hand (making it a puppet) was this fur line material the color of Mr. Ed. The cool thing was, it had one of those pull strings and Mr. Ed would say about three or four phrases he said on the show. A neat toy. Those were good times. ❤️💜💚
Why is it that horses don't have emotional problems? Because they live in a stable environment. Why is it only Mr Ed can talk? Because when the rest of the horses were asked if they would like to talk they all said Neigh. I'll be here all week.
II watched the original and Mr. Ed was on every Sunday evening. My fingers would be crossed that dad didn't have something lined up he wanted to watch. It was his TV after all.
Well, this tv show did come from a time when houses were affordable and workers had unions, pensions, and were paid enough to have a savings. Today we've let big business and right wingers destroy the unions, default on the pensions, and we are the horse's ass.
They used a nylon thread, not peanut butter. Eventually the horse learned to “talk” on cue. And it was indeed a horse, the snopes article was done as a joke.
The workman doing repairs in "Mr.Post's"(Al Young's)home..is played by George O'Hanlon..best remembered as"Joe McDoaks" and The voice of"George Jetson".
This was part of a 20 minute "special episode" {without a laugh track} shown in factories, clubs, and other organizations as part of the Treasury Department's efforts to get people to join the "Payroll Savings Plan".
Ed did a stint in the Betty Ford clinic due to a loco weed addiction in the mid 70s. He recovered and retired to his farm in northern California where he lived on the millions he received in residuals....
I used to love watching this tv show when I was a kid. My granddaughter loves horses and I am going to share the TH-cam clips with her the next time she visits me.
Post the complete service announcement! It cuts off at the end and we never did find out if Mr. Ed did wind up with savings bonds for himself! We need to know lol.
Also seen in this rarely seen PSA for The "US Savings Bonds"programs..is..comic/character actor George O'Hanlon..best remember for his roles as"Joe McDoakes"and "George Jetson".
"A talking horse, with a funny human and a cute theme song! The kids will love it. Now all we need's a plot." "How about the funny human asking his talking horse for advice on bonds. They can discuss bonds and investments and stuff. I think the kiddies will really dig it!"
Equity investors triumphed over bond investors during the 20th century because the risk premium built into bonds during the 1900s was much too low to compensate investors for the forthcoming turmoil that would hit the bond market over the next century. This period saw two secular bear and bull markets in U.S. fixed income, with inflation peaking at the end of the First and Second World Wars as a result of increased government spending during those periods.
Sometimes- yesterday would be an exmaple. I can feel Michaels soul- so I know that he is arround me in some capacity. He will never fully be able to comprehend lies and manipulation.

If i saw a horse talking to me like Mr.ED, id ask him 5 things 1. Are you some type of old Yoda 2. Are you smarter than a 5th grader 3. Is glue really made from cows than horses 4. Mister Ed "sold out" as early as 1961, when he and Wilbur "pitched" their sponsor's Studebaker "Lark" automobiles at the end of the episodes they sponsored.....
I cried into my bucket of wallpaper paste, today... making Penelope paper application forms is not easy when I take too long making them wrong. Got map pieces that are too thick to use so far.
I was 7 years old when I was watching Mr E D Today I'm 63. What a wonderful, fantastic show, Mr. Ed. Thank you
Same here. They had enjoyable programs for kids.

Except the horse is gaslighting the American people. 😂
But yes a talking horse is pretty smart for a horse. On that assertion you are correct.

The funniest part was saying savings bonds are secure because they're backed by the government. Hysterical!
More like the government is secure thanks to the savings bonds
Mr Ed couldn't talk today, because he was feeling a little horse.
Wow I learned something new. Getting me a savings bong today!
Mr Ed inspired Bojack Horseman
Actually thought this horse could talk when I was little girl. Just imagine children watching this today
That's one trained horse

A Studebaker Lark is worth a fortune now. You should listen to Mr. ED!
I lost all my investment money when Studebaker folded! Apparently, I wasn’t the only one since this one was sponsored by the Chrysler Corporation!

Oh no! That would be terrible. I hate to think of how they would 're-imagine' Mr. Ed. 😵💫
RIP Ed
