For all we now Asta's Anti-Magic Devil is the bastard son of the king of devils. And is currently trying to get revenge against his father. By killing every devil that he can to prove himself. This means that Dante's devil is the father of Asta's devil. Man, that would be very heavy.
I disagree respectfully. Lucifero is a demon like all others and should easily be able to tell what their offspring is. Asta's devil is not the son of Lucifero or else Lucifero wouldn't have made the statement "This demon is unknown yet mysterious" and yet he assumed that Asta's devil was a low rank only because he doesn't use magic. This concludes that Asta's devil is not Lucifero's son.
I agree I do think that Asta’s Demon is the son of the Demon king. But I don’t think Dante’s demon is the demon king. He is an equivalent to a noble in the demon hierarchy.

K O I agree with you. But Tabata missed an opportunity with both Clover and Heart Kingdom. The locations could have been more detailed, for example, where every HQ of each squad is. If we knew we could see how much Zeno got into Clover. And I know that we will get the training in hk in the anime and I’m really happy about it, but I think a bit of it should have been in the manga

Yo if you looking at Asta’s demons wings they look ripped maybe he has a dramatic past being tortured by the higher ranked demons and when Zagrid left for the real world the AMD followed him and that’s when he was able to take over Licht’s grimoire and think about revenge/train inside it.

He was probably tortured by lower demons and chosen as the lowest of the low so he wasn’t even acknowledged giving him small chances to leave. This is kinda a follow up to yesterday’s comment but just like yami maho (dark magic) can affect the underworld and anchi maho (anti magic) comes from the underworld so they might be able to do a combo spell but what if since the maseki (magic stones) are connected to the underworld what if Asta can use them because he uses anchi maho?! Can you imagine that kind of spell?!
Vikings thought that the tree of Yggdrasil had 9 branches which ended in 9 different worlds, each one inhabited by different races. This could mean that other species exist too. If Yami, who is a DARK magic user is required to enter the place where demons live, could other types of magic open other worlds? For example, Fire magic could be used to link their world with the land of the fire giants, In norse mythology, Muspelheim or Light magic for Asgard, where gods live. This could make sense if we take in consideration that elves are not from our world but from Alfheim, land of the elves.
All the way back in chapter 4 Yami told Asta that there are other members in the squad but the rest are away on assignment (This guy), Breaks (Henry) or slacking off (Zora) . Been waiting to meet this guy. Cant wait

And I so hope this is the vice captain. But it makes you wonder how many others are there? I would hope we get at least another handful cuz that would be soo amazing
It's not just you dude, I too was shocked, excited, and scared at the same time. So that is why the dark triad is so determined to find the arcane stages but, it's not Asta and the other arcane mages they want except for Dante because he is a madman. Williams World Tree Magic plus Yami Dark magic equals the gateway to the underworld so the demons would take over and the end of the human race will be certain. The dark triad must be stopped no matter the cost!!! We need to find out more of who is Asta Devil's name, his past story and how did he come into Licht grimoire. The spy of the clover kingdom is a black bull member and I am so excited!!!! I can't wait to find out who he/she is and his/her past story. Shadow magic huh? I wonder it's the offspring of Spatial magic and dark magic. Tabata has been on a roll and I can't wait to see Noelle and her battle against Megecula and Veronica!!!
I think that a few devils will enter the human world. Yuno looking for vengeance as well as to restore his honor might make a contract with one. Thus giving him the power to take down a devil. This will add to Yuno's character because now we get to see him struggle to learn or maintain himself to grant his desires. That line "I don't care whether it's as a magic knight of the clover kingdom... Or a Prince of the spade kingdom. I'll be the one... to shut this down!!!" really is cold of Yuno to sayas he is landing a killing blow. I don't see him getting desperate and making a contract, but I do see him making one as a by any means necessary.
There is one interesting thing that came out recently. With volume 24 of Black Clover we have character profiles. One of them is Zenon Zogratis who has NO age stated. The other though makes this whole thing REALLY weird. Gaderois was 26 and Foyal was 25 (Zenon disciples), which means Gaderois would be 10 and Foyal would be 9 when Triad took over Spade and yet we see them alongside Zenon in Yuno's flashback. It's just my theory, but this may imply that there is something wrong with that flashback. Maybe Ralph made it up and lied.

And making the same mistake TWICE is a stretch, especially when talking about Tabata who pays attention to details. To me this may be a hint that Ralph lied or manipulated something. Maybe it's Fake Aegon Targaryen situation from Song of Ice and Fire (Spade Kingdom already look kinda like Winterfell and Tabata seems to enjoy Dark fantasy as we see with Berserk). Maybe Ralph manipulates Yuno to get an ally to fight Triad and unite Kingdom under him. It's also weird that he stated specifically that what he showed Yuno is NOT a lie. He's got 3 swords that all do serious damage including one that can take mana and redirect it at you.. And he can go into black asta form.... If anything he's the perfect candidate for a world with competing magic and devils...

Dante's goal of connecting the underworld to the Mortal Realm is pretty similar to Yu Yu Hakusho's Sensui's plan but different methods. And the new Black Bull that got revealed, that spell of his reminds me of a move from Zato-1 from Guilty Gear where he sends you inside his shadow. It would be pretty badass if the new Black Bull had shadow magic.

Yami is hiding something from the other members....I mean there may be a squad 2 .......one that protects the kingdom and the other that is investigating ( he is definitely sent by julius ) and something is really fishy about black bull....becoz he said other members were on mission....but the members that we saw till chapter 246 were already there at astas introduction time......I think one with asta is the second squad ....and the other must be the 1st
The vice captain being a really competent mage puts a justification why the Black Bulls were surviving as a magic knight order despite being the worse of them before Asta came. I was thinking that maybe the reason for it was just because Julius' consider Yami like his literal son that was the sole reason why Bulls were still remaining as a functioning magic knight order despite the show's inherent theme of being competent. Amazing Chapter as always.
That Tree of Yggdrasil is also in Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood finale, the part were ED had to sacrifice his Alchemy to retrieve AL from the other side.

Pretty sure that’s the vice captain, if you look at a certain panel in chapter 2 I think, there’s a silhouette that doesn’t look like anyone we’ve seen in the black bulls yet and this person also has a grimoire on their LEFT hip (not that it’s a great argument) and it would make sense that we didn’t meet him/her yet since he/she could have been infiltrating the spade kingdom all this time...

The magic is just the other world magic. Like when the word devil brought the plant things to attack them before. They all can probably regenerate and do things like that.

I expect a lot of character development for yuno noelle and astas devil. Tabata never dissapoints
Honestly, I have no particular reasoning behind this thought. I just feel like everything would come full circle if that’s the case. We have all three royal families revealed and their younger siblings(Noelle, Leo) on squads and then there’s The house of Kira which we know nothing about besides three members(Damnatio, Finese, King Clover). It would give us a chance to explore that royal family and while having a younger member along the main squad redeem them.

Ima call this person Umbra, which is the shadow side of the moon. I think it means shadow in Latin too. I would look for a more “shadow” and less “black” in the naming scheme. Yami means dark. We also saw these same boots in Henry’s flashback. Tbh I don’t think this person is a Vice Captain. But if Umbra is, they’re probably a carry over from the Azure Deer. It’s easier to start a squad with 2 people.
I am curious how Dante learn about how World Tree and Dark Magic are keys to opening the underworld? Yes I believe that the new Black Bulls newest Member is for sure the Black Bulls Vice-Captain after if you are going to send a spy especially into the Great Demon Nation the Spade Kingdom that person needs to be a Vice-Captain or Captain.

I wonder it's the offspring of Spatial magic and dark magic. Tabata has been on a roll and I can't wait to see Noelle and her battle against Megecula and Veronica!!!

I think that a few devils will enter the human world. Yuno looking for vengeance as well as to restore his honor might make a contract with one. Thus giving him the power to take down a devil. This will add to Yuno's character because now we get to see him struggle to learn or maintain himself to grant his desires. That line "I don't care whether it's as a magic knight of the clover kingdom... Or a Prince of the spade kingdom. I'll be the one... to shut this down!!!" really is cold of Yuno to sayas he is landing a killing blow. I don't see him getting desperate and making a contract, but I do see him making one as a by any means necessary.

There is one interesting thing that came out recently. With volume 24 of Black Clover we have character profiles. One of them is Zenon Zogratis who has NO age stated. The other though makes this whole thing REALLY weird. Gaderois was 26 and Foyal was 25 (Zenon disciples), which means Gaderois would be 10 and Foyal would be 9 when Triad took over Spade and yet we see them alongside Zenon in Yuno's flashback. It's just my theory, but this may imply that there is something wrong with that flashback. Maybe Ralph made it up and lied.

And making the same mistake TWICE is a stretch, especially when talking about Tabata who pays attention to details. To me this may be a hint that Ralph lied or manipulated something. Maybe it's Fake Aegon Targaryen situation from Song of Ice and Fire (Spade Kingdom already look kinda like Winterfell and Tabata seems to enjoy Dark fantasy as we see with Berserk). Maybe Ralph manipulates Yuno to get an ally to fight Triad and unite Kingdom under him.
It's also weird that he stated specifically that what he showed Yuno is NOT a lie. Why would he need to assure Yuno of that? Also Ralph was 16 by the time of Zogratis betrayal and he looked like he was at least in early 20s back them

He's got 3 swords that all do serious damage including one that can take mana and redirect it at you.. And he can go into black asta form.... If anything he's the perfect candidate for a world with competing magic and devils...

Dante's goal of connecting the underworld to the Mortal Realm is pretty similar to Yu Yu Hakusho's Sensui's plan but different methods. And the new Black Bull that got revealed, that spell of his reminds me of a move from Zato-1 from Guilty Gear where he sends you inside his shadow. It would be pretty badass if the new Black Bull had shadow magic.

The vice captain being a really competent mage puts a justification why the Black Bulls were surviving as a magic knight order despite being the worse of them before Asta came.
I was thinking that maybe the reason for it was just because Julius' consider Yami like his literal son that was the sole reason why Bulls were still remaining as a functioning magic knight order despite the show's inherent theme of being competent.

I think the tree of yggdrassil is a method for the gates of the 9 worlds (minus the earth planet) and some arcane stage magics are the keys to some of these worlds like yami's dark maguc can open the demon's underworld and maybe light magic can open the world of angels and some rare earth thing open the doors to the giant realm ect...

Honestly, I have no particular reasoning behind this thought. I just feel like everything would come full circle if that’s the case. We have all three royal families revealed and their younger siblings(Noelle, Leo) on squads and then there’s The house of Kira which we know nothing about besides three members(Damnatio, Finese, King Clover). It would give us a chance to explore that royal family and while having a younger member along the main squad redeem them.

Ima call this person Umbra, which is the shadow side of the moon. I think it means shadow in Latin too. I would look for a more “shadow” and less “black” in the naming scheme. Yami means dark.
