Im a late game player in tdx and have pretty much everything and I think this a pretty accurate review even for someone like me Most of the cool and interesting gameplay are all in the late game like being able to play endless to the later waves where all the cool bosses are and being able to use towers like heli, there's also the halloween event that's still ongoing which has the first multi-lane and pathless maps in the game (events are playable even after the events end as long as there is no event currently happening) The progression is actually pretty good at the start as long as you can win easy (which is easily doable with just ranger) on multiple maps because of the medals feature which rewards 80% more gold for the first win of that mode on whatever map your playing on and will only get easier when they add more maps, by using the medals feature to your advantage you can get most of the cheap towers on your first day, however your progression gets way worse around the time you get to collecting intermediate badges because of level locks and the prices of mid game towers and gets even worse towards the late game with towers like g jugg and heli (the inflated prices are mostly because endless gives insane amounts of gold if you can make it into the later waves) And about the visuals, the UI isn't really that fancy probably because tdx tries to be performant for lower end devices and the tower animations are actually pretty good, it's just hard to notice since they're not as exaggerated as tds Overall, tdx is good if you want a challenging td game since pretty much every mode apart from easy takes a decent amount of strategy
Was kinda hoping you'd replay and beat Easy mode. The medal system in this game gives you +80% more gold reward for the first time you beat a difficulty on each map. It makes gold grinding a LOT easier and interesting.
You should get barracks the next time you play, its a unit tower and its really good for early game players, top path is for single target and DPS, bottom path for crowd control
You can actually solo easy mode with just ranger. Just spamming top path will get you an easy win on most maps. Oh and btw you can speed up the game for free in solo, there's a button near settings which can let you do that
If you want the real TDX experience you should play for longer or atleast untill u have good towers as then you can play expert/endless and that’s where it becomes really fun.
By the way you need good towers to get to even plague doctor in endless mode. By the way, Ranger can beat easy mode intermediate mode elite mode by itself if used correctly.
The first time I saw this video I thought the creator would be like a level 600 veteran or anything higher, but 220? I'm currently lvl 508 which is two times higher. TDS would look better by design at first, of course, until you play Elite or Expert mode, which are much harder (requiring you to have jugg to win) they look much more cooler than easy mode, as easy mode is currently the oldest mode in TDX. Towers that are locked behind levels can be bought for gold later when you reach the required level, unless you want to P2W ofc.
450 isnt expensive at all, its cheap in tdx. Modes like expert can give up to 3000 gold, the reason why it took so long for you is because you didnt win easy mode.
