New motorcycle rider dealing with traffic, construction, and curves - is it too much?

- I'm a new motorcycle rider - I only took the MSF class and got my license a week ago. I wanted a motorcycle - even though I had no motorcycle riding experience - because it seemed like a fun way to have adventures on the way to my adventures. My adventures are usually hiking, backpacking, and traveling, so this would be a new kind of adventure to add to my usual trips.
So about a week after getting my motorcycle endorsement, I packed up my hiking gear to ride my motorcycle to go hiking. I planned a route to avoid highways since I haven't ridden highway speeds on the motorcycle yet. The problem with that is that I don't know how to get places by back roads (and I have a terrible sense of direction)!
I ended up on a busy road that had a lane closed for construction. It was bumper-to-bumper traffic for a bit, which I had never dealt with before. Once I got clear of construction and after having to stop and check a map to figure out where I was going, the road to the State Park where I was planning to hike was full of curves which were more difficult than the rides I had done up to that point.
This was a difficult ride for a new motorcycle rider, and at the end of it I was going hiking! I also had to pack my motorcycle gear (coat, gloves, boots) into my backpack while I was hiking.
Watch the video to see how it goes!

You’ve got this! Stay safe !
(And sweet KTM!!!)
Thank you!
Great job as a new rider. Nice to see you take it slow around those curves. Very nice intro you have. Good luck, ride safe.
Thanks - I'm starting to get better at the curves, but still taking it slow!
Enjoyed the video. Thank you for taking the time to make it as well as getting to grips with your motorcycle 😊
Are you allowed a top box on your bike to lock your boots & helmet in? We found that really useful.
I really want a top box, but I have to get a mount for it first. I just got the bike and the gear so I'm trying to not get too carried away with spending $$ on it, but it's definitely on the short list of things to get!
