    Before everybody gets their undies in a twist, I forgot about this cake in the fridge overnight unfrosted and so that creates a very hard layer. I couldn’t do anything about it so I made it into a content cake instead. Never leave your cake unfrosted 😭

The longest relationship i was ever in was with a christian guy but one day he said he could never marry me because im agnostic, not Christian, which means i wont go to heaven when i die and we wouldnt be together in the afterlife :/ we were young so marriage wasnt really on the table anyway but that felt very disheartening to hear 😭

      I respect that and think it's so sweet but as a muslim I wouldn't celebrate other holidays except for just getting with family since we do that whenever we get the chance anyway whether it's Christmas or any other holiday, since that's the only time everyone is free. But I also wouldn't expect my spouse to celebrate my holidays with me if they were a non Muslim. But ofc to each their own

    • @hollyhendershotsmith1679
      @hollyhendershotsmith1679 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +10

      @digitaltheidiot3618 that's kind of the beauty of it. Neither of us expects or requires it. It's just something we do. We also have children, together and each from previous marriage. We're probably much less traditional in our religious raising of our kids than most people of either religion would typically be. It works for us.

    I had Muslim exchange students. They were happy to celebrate Christmas with me. I celebrate it as a family holiday about giving, caring, and love. I’m not religious and so they got to discover a holiday that was just about loving each other. I think one of them still celebrates it to this day. I’m hoping someday to go and celebrate Ramadan with one or both of them.

      Hey, muslim here. The reason why we dont celebrate Christmas is because it just happens to against a basic belief of ours. On which the whole religion is founded. I don't celebrate Christmas as a revert Muslim, former Christian. You can do whatever you want as a Muslim. It's called free will. You just have to be able to stand before your Lord, The Creator, at the end of this life and say, "I did my best."
    Mimo is a really good Muslim from what I have seen. We have a difference of opinion about participating in Christmas, but I still love and respect her as my sister in faith, and I pray that Allah makes my faith as strong as hers. We're all one Ummah. I'll always defend her right to make holiday cakes or keep her moon tree even if I personally don't do those same activities because she and I are both servants of God and that's just basic human decency. We all have free will. Use yours to choose comradery and peace if you can. May Allah bless every human with peace and friendship regardless of their faith, ameen.

    I think some people forget what christmas is all about. It's not just baking cookies and decorating a tree. It's about going to church with your family and celebrating the day christ was born. So if you don't believe that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD then how are you celebrating christmas??? 🤨🤨

      The same folks that swear cause some of us say happy holidays cause there’s a bunch of stuff like haunika (don’t come at me idk how to spell it other than sounding it out) , Christmas, Yule, and other celebrations get angry and insist their oppressed cause an orange bastard and his party of imbeciles told them so. Why? Cause they can’t think and seem to belive that if you don’t force everyone to think alike or being back barbaric archaic trains of thought that the worlds going to end… or that it’s ending…as if it hasn’t “Ended” time and time again when there’s technological advancements, or societal changes, ect. One chapter closes another opens it’s how it’s always been I don’t know why they don’t get that and just learn to be nice to others. 😅

    I am Muslim and I celebrate Christmas. My parents are divorced and my dad is in a relationship with a Turkish women since I was around 6 years old. So I grew up in a half Christian and half Muslim family. My sister is Muslim too and my brother is Christian. So we don’t go to church or anything but celebrate Christmas with our family. But we also celebrate Muslim holidays. Hope you understand what I mean ❤

But I still wanna celebrate Christmas as I love giving gifts to my family and the memories I’ve made every Christmas. Maybe it’s weird but it’s my decision.

    The idea of Christmas directly clashes with islam. Because Christmas is what they say, Jesus Christ “the son of God" (Astagfirullah) was born on that day. Which is direct shirk. As Allah subhanallahuta'ala was never born nor gave birth to anyone. ( Surah Ikhlas, ayat 3) . May Allah show us the right path.
