When they asked if they have ever met someone who is LGBTQIA+ and she said no, it's a little sad. Not on her part, but that its most likely she has met at least 1 person but they're too afraid to come out.

I really wish there could be more open-minded people like this all around the world. Some people just need to know that not everybody is the same. That goes with the same with their skin colour, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, physically and mental body and so on. I'm glad that some people are getting more accepting and understanding. Really proud of these two teenagers for being respectful and so much more mature than some adults. 'A long time ago you had to hide - phones were 2G' - um, in the 80's there were no cell phones. But there were dance clubs 'in the cities', and you chose your college in part because you didn't want to go through 4 more years of hiding..... Which was really just an extension of the 50's and 60s where you left Iowa and went to Chicago, LA, or NYC. Maybe because the pace of change is so rapid today (?) but it always stuns me that even (relatively) young people don't seem to have a sense of history - 40, 50 years ago, isn't all that far removed.....

Guys that is crazy, they don't have any gay friends, how come? I can't count how many LGBTQIA+ friends I have. Maybe is because Korea still a bit conservative. America in general is pretty much open-minded, tho unfortunately we still have narrow minded people.
its probably yeah bcs korea is still a bit conservative. so tgey probably do have some lgbtqia+ friends but they dont know it bcs the friends arent out

South koreans teenagers nowadays are acceptable and open minded rn. Cuz they already have the knowledge abt the LGBTQIA cuz they are more active i guess in the social media, except for the south koreans elders they are more close minded because of the lack of knowledge and what they've usually believed... and lets be honest most of the beauty in south koreans comes from mens, no hate to south korean girls, but theres a lot of korean men that looks more attractive and beautiful than other korean girls..

Well that’s how life is. Being apart of the lgbtq+ is not a choice. It wasn’t their decision to feel attracted towards the same sex, they were just born that way. I find it weird how you can’t just accept the fact that not everyone is the same. Boys can love boys, just like girls can like girls.

South Korea is only a recently developed country and therefore is more conservative and less open to progressive movements such as LGBTQ+ rights especially among the older generations in South Korea.
It’s very taboo. South Korea is a pretty conservative country but it’s slowly getting there!
