I've watched a lot of the TH-cam barbers over the years, trying to self-learn how to cut, and one of my biggest issues has been fading. Although I learned a lot from the various barbers on here, for some reason after discovering your channel, something clicked, and blending finally makes sense. I appreciate you going out of your way to explain the little steps and habits you do, sometimes us amateur guys have questions on techniques that someone with experience, may forget to mention. Big ups to you man!

Chris, Fantastic step by step class in how to fade. I am a new Barber and am training at a Barber shop, the Barber is good but never explains anything. I have learned so much from you about Barbering, please keep up the great work! You may not realize how much you given me confidence to keep going, thanks! David

also this guy has a passion for this so even if you have negative things to say its not like hes sitting here saying hes the master expert. but to me hes about as good as it gets a guy that knows what hes doing, continues to be open to learning and gives good customer consideration

I got used to making 1st 0 guideline, then creating second guiding Open no guard and blend down from 2nd to 1st. I do this because it guarantees to not raise up line. I probably should switch up my game and started doing more fading up just to master more than 1 technique.
Great tutorial though. Much appreciated for taking time... you’re one of the best barbers I’ve seen in skill, competency and literation. I’m inspired.
    God bless

Hey Chris hope you are well. I am a father of 3 boys from Chicago. I just subscribed to your TH-cam channel. I have been cutting my boys hair all of their life. In just a couple days since I subscribed to your channel I have learned so much. One area that I have never been able to stay consistent in cutting my kids hair is their lining. Is there a video that you address how to properly line up and if not could you make one addressing that issue. Thank you so much for your videos and inspiring young people to go after their dreams. I pray for continued blessings on your businesses.
    Joel

Love the masters. My blends come out more detailed. I also like leaving the zero line for last that way I can knockout all my clean up work together with the zero line. Btw keep up with the content. Really enjoy the videos you put out with the masters. It really is the most detailed clipper once you really understand how to fade with them.

Barber use the balder but didn't go back to blend it. Pulling out doesn't blend it, it makes another line. U can't see it in the video or even be able to tell but client will know once it's grown out. Friendly tip- go back with the 0000 trimmer

I have a balding issue, so I mainly just get my beard done. If i'm lazy and don't feel like shaving, I let the barbers knock it down, then I go home and shave my head. However, this is the second video I seen on youtube 1st some guy used ez blade. I been getting cuts all over NC they don't use shave gel when doing beards. mostly you get a hot towel or rag on the face. sometimes you don't get that..

your liners pulling? I think your clipper needs a bit more tension. my theory, I believe, is that the hair on the back of the neck is realy thin and fine(peach fuze), that it's getting in between the two blades and not allowing the blades to shear the strands of hair
