The mods and updates completely change the feel of the game and how you can play it. It's a true sandbox with brilliant physics, and that's why it's my most played game ever
In BeamNG you can also change the drive modes of the car, in the Scintilla for example, you can change between normal, sport, and corsa, and they all change the way the car drives.
The driving in this game is SUPER scary. When you go fast, you can lose control,understeer or oversteer etc which will make you crash and your car will either be harder to drive or you just can't deive it at all
The transmission physics are soo good. Torqueconverters actually feel like slushboxes, unlike in FH5, where the G82 M4 feels like it has a clutch, and not a torque converter.
Beamng is almost the perfect sandbox, great devs that continuously do updates, repo and the forums have almost everything you could think of. Got around 320 mods and still running like a sharm. You can also create your own cars in Automation and export then to Beamng. Hoping they add tyre termals and dynamic terrain like the one in snowrrunner and it will be as real as a videogame can get
Actually something cool about ai traffic is that if you get the ai traffic control ui app, then you can control their agressiveness/risk on a scale from 0.1 to 2. You should try out 2 because they do not give a damn about cutting you off or brake checking you etc.
I have downloaded over 200 mods for beamng & it still runs smoothly on ultra graphics in my laptop with a rtx 3050 i mean how crazy is that & the overall game size is still smaller than forza horizon 4 with mods included 😅.
7:20 ALSO you can turn off the "safety gearbox assistant" or something like that, and then it will let you downshift when the revs exceed the limiter, and also if you try to shift without pressing the clutch, the clutch will get damaged
you missed the Walking mode, yes you read this comment correctly a Walking mode, you do this by pressing F and also I believe there is a hotkey for almost every single feature in BeamNG too much hotkeys for a single keyboard maybe.
Also another cool thing in BeamNG is that if you turn off all the assistants, then if you lets say shift gears without pressing the cluth then that gear will start to grind down and break. Also the game only costs 21 euros with no extra DLCs, in Forza tho you pay 60 euros and if you want everything then you need to pay for the DLCs while as in BeamNG you pay 21 euros and get accsess to EVERYTHING.
Damn right. Every racing game needs to have a good replay mode. And that has always been lacking in the horizon games. I wish we could get the replay system from Forza Motorsport. Much more interesting angles and fun to watch. And that’s a great idea to add the drone as a replay camera!
Mod support would actually bring more money to the game as forza wouldn’t have to buy a single car license knowing we’ll make the cars ourselves. Imagine if all they did was make driving maps and a currency system for upgrades and then every car was community made. That would be the ultimate money making strategy
Someone else mentioned this, but you feel faster in BeamNG. Even tiny weak cars feel fast because of the more realistic physics. You feel like a superherp jist for not crashing at 75% of the speed you were able to do something in another games.
I agree with most of this, but expecting mod support in FH5 "to add missing cars" is unrealistic. Even if they wanted to, they'd get torn apart for copyright infringement. They have to pay for every single car to be licensed in the game especially since its an online game.
best part is.. each car is different older cars in safety wise suck but the newer then generation of cars you go the more safer is gets. Another cool detail is older transmissions aren't as advanced and shift slower but newer transmissions are quick and responsive the detail in BeamNG is crazy and its why i love the game so much
Now granted beamng will probably have the best dmg models but if forza did that it would take forever to update all cars and add cars to the game they would have to do all dmg testing and stuff and yes it would be fun to have that addition to the game

Some popo ai chase other ai and if you are in a popo car some run from you and lastly if you crash into an ai and stop it says you have exchanged insurance info (popo means police)
All you gotta do is port every single car from FH5, and Forza is no longer necessary :) Forza car models with Beamng physics and deformation, and with FFB rivaling Assetto corsa, BeamNG is literally THE Ultimate driving game
Another thing BeamNG does well, if not excellent, is offroading, and this is exactly thanks to in-depth damage simulation. Offroading in Forza is a joke, surface is as flat as road, just more slippery, there's no ground penetration beyond visual effect, and the only consequence of taking car with no clearance is hitting ground with your bottom during elevation changes. Take unprepped car in BeamNG offroad or to trophy truck course, and you'll see your car gradually disintegrate as parts give up the ghost from abuse.
Beamng is like real life in a game with everything that they do which I like more than fh5 cause fh5 is an arcade game which I don’t like too much but I’m stuck with an Xbox so that’s all I have for now
Luckily it’s not that long until we get Test Drive unlimited! In the mean while, if you love cars, driving, drifting, customizing etc, I highly recommend CarX Drift Racing. It’s so much more then just a drifting game. Honestly, it’s fun just to create your own cars. Can customize everything, including engine swaps and gearboxes etc etc. Also really fun to make racing cars and do time trials. P.S and the physics/gameplay is super satisfying. Really nice indeed! Thats the complete oppossite in case of the Horizon games. FH1, heck even Motorsport series had really great damage models that cars parts can be detached, windshields broken into pieces etc. Meanwhile the recents ones has been tone down to a point that you can't even scratch your car in the modern Horizon games.

Yep. Similarly in Assetto Corsa, one of the things that drew me in, was the amazing tire and wind noise. Adds so much to the sense of speed and drama

For me personally one of the biggest things is the Customization, you can change any part, wheel, tire, engine, brakes, car panels and much more!
