MAAAN, that was awesome. Best melodies tutorial I've watched so far. You make it simple to make beautiful melodies by breaking down the formula. Love all your tutorials. I'm learning the most from you. Thank you!
I avoided watching your tutorials when I started out. But then I came back and it makes sense and I evolve fast as hell now because of the insight and inspiration that is given in your videos.
I really love your melodies. They're so beautiful and I had to smile watching you work on them. It makes me happy to listen this music even if it's not my music taste.
i want to see how to do the sound selection from melodies like you just showed and turn it into a beat. feel like i try to layer to much or mess up the melody everytime i go to add more sounds..
This was a great creative exercise and really kind of broadened my horizons when it comes to piano roll "workflow". Cheers, thank you. One tip of feedback I have (from a viewer's perspective, not another artist): Editing in some of your other work into the background in between sound capture from FL Studio was very jarring and I felt as if it got in the way of the real content, which was the tutorial; The background music was distracting.

how do you do the highlighting thing at 2:23?? is it a setting? where you highlight pick it up then highlight again without getting rid of what was already highlitghted
Thanks for the sick videos man, you rock. The way you write chords/melodies is really interesting - I can tell you know your music theory fundamentals and really stick to them. 15 minutes well spent.
These melodies are fire, but they could be better. Try making your melodies with more movement. Everything feels too on beat. Add some trills, maybe instead of the notes of the chords being on tempo they could start at 1 then the 2nd chord start at 3/4 of 1. Just so theres more movement and feel more dynamic. Keep up the good work man.🙏
Not even 2 minutes into the video and I’ve just learned that you can choose the scale on the actual piano roll instead of making wild guesses and staying in scale yourself 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Wsp bro! You can download "Addictive Keys" or "Omnisphere". Addictive Keys is only high quality piano, Omnisphere is lot of sounds, but it's 80gb. Sorry for my English, im from Russia. Good luck! :)
maybe a guide on how to smoothly add some brass or any other instrument melody in top of piano music without screwing up the whole concept? Dont know how to explain this actually, im too new in the music world.hope u understood what i mean!
I mean, it's a really lovely melody but I can't say I know more about how to make a melody like that after watching this video. Sure, I was able to watch you construct what is a lovely sound but not much was done to actually communicate why or how it all works.
for someone who's this good at mixin shit up, you'd think you would be able to make sure the background music doesn't completely block out your voice. Good shit though, this did help a lot

If you already have a melodic piano pattern just layer it up with a pad or arp
@@RickAnthony im weird i always feel like im cheating when i do it that way and want to add another melody.. am i doing too much maybe?
@@notaproduca5024 yeah you can switch it up a little every now and then but not too much, you don't want to over do it
