    ReSlice does the job for me. I couldn’t figure out how to import samples into ReSlice as an Auv3 until I saw your video. I was looking for the refund button because I thought it was a waste but now I see the copy paste from AudioShare. I use the MPC One and MPK Mini with AUM and each synth or sampler routed to a specific channel to trigger them separately. So the ReSlice is something I would use VERY often since I have a ton of loops and samples but I like to build a groove by triggering each slice different way then i build the song around that. Thanks for the video and saving my workflow and money! Already a subscriber from before.

    Thank you for this video. I use Nanostudio 2 for music having moved from its first iteration, and was disappointed to learn that NS2 didn’t have a slicer and that I’d need to find a 3rd party AUV3 to handle it. I previously opted for ReSlice but find it clunky and unintuitive (as you yourself mentioned). Thanks to your video, I learned about Segments which I prefer. Beathawk seems cool too. Either way, thanks for helpful information.

      Segments and Koala are the best slicers on iOS for sure :)

  • @coral6601
    @coral6601 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What I like with Beathawk is that you can do some time stretching so that when you play the sampler it’s not changing the speed in higher pitch
    And that for me is very important if you want to make some choir with your voice .I tried to do that with Segment but I could not do it .

    • @MobileMusicPro
      @MobileMusicPro  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the time stretching in Beathawk is pretty good :) Time stretching in segments not so much :/ Personally if I'm going to be layering vocals I'd do that in Cubasis but that's just my workflow, never really been a fan of the mpc style workflow :)

    Are there any keyboard samplers that that let play one shots accord keys without slowing or speeding up the sample? Seems like every app does this

    • @MobileMusicPro
      @MobileMusicPro  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are currently none on iOS. However Logic Pro is coming out on the 23rd and its sampler absolutely can do that.

    • @allieboy181
      @allieboy181 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MobileMusicPro interesting, is there a reason why every keyboard sampler makes your sample slow/high in pitch when going up an down the keyboard?

    • @MobileMusicPro
      @MobileMusicPro  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@allieboy181 Yes there's one extra step to make it not do that which uses time stretching and most developers don't want to deal with that for smaller apps. I've emailed literally every app dev and no one wants to implement it.

    17:07 hey I was thinking about getting some 4pocket plug ins even this one ☝️ but can you split the drums on the one shot drum pads? I saw it done on a video with EG Pulse but can Chameleon do it too? I just wanna make all my drums from the mini sampler keys to go on different mixing tracks. It would help for the information. Can anyone help point me towards an iOS sampler that 1) Shows filenames on the pads AND 2) Works with Bluetooth controllers like Birdkid's Offgrid. Thanks!

    • @MobileMusicPro
      @MobileMusicPro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Sean, any ipad and ipad music app works with any class compliant midi controller including bluetooth controllers, however bluetooth is generally not recommend for music production since there's usually always a latency issue but it's getting better. As far as displaying filenames the only drum app I know of that lets you change the name of pads is Digistix 2.

    How do I get these on Android?

    • @MobileMusicPro
      @MobileMusicPro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately Android does not support the AUv3 standard which was created by apple. Which means there are very very limited music production apps available on android. Apple's iOS music production ecosystem is roughly 10 years ahead of Android and I don't see Android catching up anytime soon as google simply doesn't care about music production on Android :/
