@thirdgenguy17 yeah i thought when i got my camaro that i could easily put a bigger motor in there.....didnt know much about cars lol.....but i still love it
People make me laugh when they say , throw in a V8. They have no clue what's involved. Lets start with the V8 engine+ trans ( 3.4 L V6 has a narrow bell housing) + suspension springs+ computer + fuel pump...etc.
Suspension. And fuel pump are the same, rear end and driveshaft are different, I swapped my old turbo 3.4 to a lt1 it didn't take much since I had a wrecked lt1 car, but I still miss that turbo 3.4
Computer is obviously different since it's a different motor, I don't know of any 2 different motors that use the same computer. The only suspension that is different is the rear springs but a lot of guys on ls1tech prefer the v6 Spring, they say the cars hook better with the v6 springs.... And if you look at this guys channel he did do a ls1 v8 swap after this video was made. It's not hard at all since these cars came with those motors everything bolts right up.... you just have to do it if that's what you want
Dude what do you not do move of details on , engine ( internals ) work. I'am building one myself 1995 Chevy camaro need more help with internal work that anything else. Please help. O ya where did you get a lot of you parts from. Thanks man rock on car look great.
Go with the v8 yay blend in with the crowd... smh hey I salute anyone willing to think outside the box and go for the build with little aftermarket love. Just posted a vid of one i've been helping a friend with and I think he's pretty happy with it as his first project car!
This is exactly what i plan on doing to my 3.8 over the summer! Other than a few things like suspension considering i live around rough roads. Do you know how much hp and torque that threw down?
I have to say, this looks really nice. Great detail. I think what this needed was a turbo though lol. If you're going to rebuild a V6 in an f-body, might as well boost it lol.
@awgibson93 Your K member will support a 350. You would just need to replace the struts with heavier duty ones from a V8. All you would have had to do is get a donor LT1 preferably a 93 and it's pcm and wiring harness. Then the bell housing.
where did u get all the rebuild parts like rockers valve covers and msd coils and wires ? was it a website or a store i have the same car and motor and want to rebuild but cant find parts can u help plz
how long did it take to do everything? i got a 96 i just bought and its a 3.8 and i want to put a bigger engine it but then again my pockets aint deep so if i can upgrade my v6 and get at least 280 or better what way can i go? this will be my 1st rebuild my self!!!!!
Im buying a 94 3.4 that im lookin to rod out....how much was your total build? And as for a lt1?....stay with the six, its way lighter, i.e better handling. Also, does that lsd bolt right up, or did u have to mod anything?
The car hasn't been off the jack stands yet lol. I plan to do some stuff in the near future. The butt dyno when it is idling feels pretty good though :P
Great Job man... Im doing a rebuild of my 1994 Camaro too so I'll be posting some pics soon. Mines at 181,000 and Im worried that the engine is about to go so maybe a V8 instead of a 3.4 ...one can only hope. Anyway great Vid and the paint looks great
@pewpscoop Yeah I got a V6 Mustang and its far from being fast but it gets me to where i want to go haha, but I am looking for just some simple bolt ons just to gain a few more horses under the hood.
Good job with your build.I have just one question to ask? Did you have any dyno specs after the port and polish? Most people that I have talked to have said to leave the hump on the intake runners because it increases port velocity and the incoming air. I mean I am doing a rather nice port and polish on my 3.4 but I will port it more if you got some decent numbers.
I love what you’ve done but if you don’t mind me asking then what was the total cost for everything and was it a difficult job and how long was the process because I want to do the same thing. Also what size is the motor and transmission
@pewpscoop The best way to go with my car to gain more H/P is 8.8" GT rear end, dual exhaust, and intake swap. One thing that would be nice to do is get a wrecked 03 cobra and swap it all over then keep my car looking like a V6 haha, that would be one nice sleeper but that will never happen, Or I want to just get a LS1 camaro, I test drove one last fall and it felt nice to drive something with power for once!
justincc87 Okay awesome thanks, did you use a lift? Or tackle it from above mostly then just put the car on stands? Thinking about getting access to a lift to make it easier. And lastly, did you get the set with the EGR valve adapters on the right passenger side? Hoping to avoid as much fabbing as possible lol
Vincent Colussi No problem! I rebuild my car without a lift. Did all of the work from inside the engine bay. For additional clearance, I raised the car on jack stands and dropped the K Member giving me about 6-8" of additional clearance to work on the engine. As for the EGR valve, I ended up just getting a blank plate because my car had the EGR valve missing when I bought it. This car is not going to be my daily driver and I will be able to get it inspected emissions exempt :)
justincc87 Haha ya you're in the clear! Sadly where I live in Ontario, we have e-test and I have to keep the EGR assembly. I'm banking on it fitting well, the pictures show it looking identical to the stock adapter. And that's a good idea, I'll probably be doing the same then! Thanks again, will let you know when I do this (will be end of August/early September)
@thirdgenguy17 Because I can? A motor swap is a lot of work swapping the entire wiring harness, k member, and a bunch of other shit. I wanted to hop up this car for autocross/drag. I already have a 69 z28 and a 96 impala ss.
sounds awesome! Im looking at doing a very similar build to my 1995 3.4L V6. I bought the car 10 years ago, and daily drove it for for 5. Body has 155xxx miles on it, motor has 4xxxx miles on it as I found 2 broken head gaskets, a warped piston and 2 bent valves about 6 months after i bought it. Differences im looking at from your build is to go full on with the Comp Cams 260H vs your 252H, and im also going to do the 3.4x00 conversion swapping the aluminum heads and intake over from the Pontiac 3.4L FWD motor. What kind of power/torque are you getting out of your build?
You did a good job man I recently got a Camaro with the 3/4 liter engine as well automatic Highway car got about 260,000 miles on it second engine I wish they would have went the route you did and built it so I thought that was pretty cool seeing this just wondering how long it took you.
my friend has one of these he got from his uncle. his birthdays comin up and i cant really get him anything...but he really needs the circuit thing inside the driver's side door for the drivers window. he can roll the passenger's window up/down but the drivers side doesnt work. we went to an autoparts shop today to see if we could order one, but the guy said they were discontinued. shit.
Hey man, I have a 3.8 v6. Had a leaky headgasket and some bad seals when I bought it. So I pulled the engine and redbuilt it. I am 16 and always had my hands into Nissan's and Infiniti's. So I am lost. Engine is back in. Car turns o ver but will not start. Has no spark. Has new spark plug wires and plugs, the coil pack seems fine. The only thing may be wrong is the crankshaft positioning sensor? Do you know where that is or any idea on what could be the problem?
Wow kinda nice to see ppl like the 3.4 nice car
dude, I LOVE THE CHEVY ORANGE PAINT ON THAT ENGINE!
I got a 1999 firebird same framework and similar engine but now I'm inspired to do a lot more to it. Thanks!
Great job, would have liked to hear more of the engine. Any one can build a V8 but a V6 is always something different.
The quad cam cavalier motors 90s where beast! And the 2.4l
Nice to see some people still doing some good ol fashion TLC to an automobile.
Great choice in music
Great job. 3.8l would have been a nice upgrade.
Thats a kick ass build!! Im doing same thing with my 94' now!! The roller 1:6 rockers are for a 2.8 tho...i used the stock 3.4 pivots and nuts
That car looks amazing v6 or v8 its awesome
@thirdgenguy17 yeah i thought when i got my camaro that i could easily put a bigger motor in there.....didnt know much about cars lol.....but i still love it
Dude... All I have to say is wow! Awesome build!!!
I'll rate it a 8
Unlike the first and second generation F body cars, you can make high performance V6-V8 versions of these. car
People make me laugh when they say , throw in a V8. They have no clue what's involved. Lets start with the V8 engine+ trans ( 3.4 L V6 has a narrow bell housing) + suspension springs+ computer + fuel pump...etc.

Oh yea and the 3.4 trans is exactly the same as the lt1 trans but it won't bolt up, bellhousing bolt pattern is different
Thanks Kenin.
What about the computer since there 8 injectors and plugs and suspension springs ?
Computer is obviously different since it's a different motor, I don't know of any 2 different motors that use the same computer. The only suspension that is different is the rear springs but a lot of guys on ls1tech prefer the v6 Spring, they say the cars hook better with the v6 springs.... Nice ride!! I'm doing a 94Z28 my self. Looking forward to playing with the back half.
Go with the v8 yay blend in with the crowd... smh hey I salute anyone willing to think outside the box and go for the build with little aftermarket love. Just posted a vid of one i've been helping a friend with and I think he's pretty happy with it as his first project car!

Very nice Camaro. You should go force induction with that.
what kind of headlights did you put in your camaro i have a 94 camaro and i cant find any aftermarket headlights for it. thanks
how much did that all cost you cause i only got mine bored and put some forged pistons in and running about 231hp 268tq
How much was the untire build cost
@TheGazdik the solid rims
@1HDSkull I haven't had any issues with it. Runs smooth. I'm running a 252h cam.
Awesome man! Sounds better than my v8 lol
1:47 Still Runs faster then when your "VTEC kicks in yo"!
did the rear end just bolt on? or did u have to do some mods?
You needed a before and after dyno. Let us know what numbers you running w all that work done.
@simracr94 Thanks! I wanted to go kinda retro and paint it like my 69 z28s engine. Matches quite nicely
I can only imagine an lt1 6 looks amzing though man plus itll have power and good gas mileage
where did u get all the rebuild parts like rockers valve covers and msd coils and wires ? was it a website or a store i have the same car and motor and want to rebuild but cant find parts can u help plz

@awgibson93 why'd you go with a single exhaust and not true duals? not bashing, just wondering.
Hey bro how you doin... Ok i have a nice 1994 Firebird.. same sfi engine... How and where do i hey your mods?
Summit racing has them. Any cam for a 2.8l or 3.4l v6 would work. Have a look at the 252h and the 260h from comp cams.
I love what you’ve done but if you don’t mind me asking then what was the total cost for everything and was it a difficult job and how long was the process because I want to do the same thing. Also what size is the motor and transmission
Nice build! Should have done the 3400 top end swap, its good for 40hp.
It is a 3400.
It has iron heads so it's the 3.4 3400 has aluminum heads
@pewpscoop The best way to go with my car to gain more H/P is 8.8" GT rear end, dual exhaust, and intake swap. One thing that would be nice to do is get a wrecked 03 cobra and swap it all over then keep my car looking like a V6 haha, that would be one nice sleeper but that will never happen, Or I want to just get a LS1 camaro, I test drove one last fall and it felt nice to drive something with power for once!
Excelent !!
omg you did an amazing job, you need to come rebuild my 2000, i dont even know where to get half the stuff you put into it
How did the pace setter headers work for you? Thinking about ordering those exact ones for my 95 3.4L within the next couple months
I have a 94' 3.4L with pacesetter headers. they went on so easy. One thing to note is that they do hold the cat lower than stock exhaust though.
justincc87 Okay awesome thanks, did you use a lift? Or tackle it from above mostly then just put the car on stands? Thinking about getting access to a lift to make it easier.

my 95 firebird just rolled over 180 k. it's about time for an engine swap. most likely a crate 383.
Nice work, did the rear bolt right on and also the headers? Does the headers come with all the bosses for all the oxygen sensors? Keep posting.
I love it but you should’ve built an n/a 3.8 with a t5 trans
Where did you get the cam can you please send link if possible
@thirdgenguy17
Because I can? A motor swap is a lot of work swapping the entire wiring harness, k member, and a bunch of other shit. I wanted to hop up this car for autocross/drag. I already have a 69 z28 and a 96 impala ss.
Hey man this is a long shot in the dark but about how much did this run you I’m about to buy a 95 v6 5 speed camaro
how much was spend on that 3.4 cuz i have one
10x faster or 30% faster?
Nice bought a 95 early this month....engine rebuild myself
@Pattramsey Not yet, when I have the nitrous system finished I'll take her out to the track.
damn i love the engine on the car!! i have a 94 v6 3.4 engine on it but i want to put a turbocharger on it is that posible? and what type do i need
nice car but I would try to run the tips through the bumper it would look a lot better
Awesome car bro! you get any track times yet?
sounds awesome!

What kind of power/torque are you getting out of your build?
what are the tires? rims? and what are they called
everyone said to leave the intake port deviders. have you noticed any adverse effects from this?
I got a 2001 Camaro v6 with 190k miles what should I replace so it last longer
Nice build but i wouldnt waste time with a v6 but awesome build you made it worth it
Nice job guys ! Can you give me an approx cost of the engine rebuild ? I have a 1995 camero with the same motor. Thanks
how much did you spend all together? i have a 94
What transmission did you use??
You did a good job man I recently got a Camaro with the 3/4 liter engine as well automatic Highway car got about 260,000 miles on it second engine I wish they would have went the route you did and built it so I thought that was pretty cool seeing this just wondering how long it took you.
Love the work you did with the v6, How did it work out? any power gains? I have the same motor and was planning in doing the same
nice job man!! what kind of HP are you getting?
Should have done the 3x00 swap. What im starting monday
Props to the build bud, now what i wanted to do to my 93 V6 isnt enough. Thanks now I gotta spend more money lmao. how much did you put in all that?
@thirdgenguy17 true....u got to work with whatcha got
@joecamaro2893 I agree the 3400 swap will gain you just from the top end swap alone 20hp and tq w/o any mods
@1HDSkull Yep. see my video titled "Built 1993 3.4l Camaro"
A few minutes after posting, I saw that lol. How you like that slow old LT1? ;D And have you built it yet?
how much did all this cost I have a 3.8 and Im gonna do the same
Dude could you do me a huge favor and email me a full parts list and how much hp ur making!!!
cool car i reaally dislike the exhaust tips tho lol
my friend has one of these he got from his uncle. his birthdays comin up and i cant really get him anything...but he really needs the circuit thing inside the driver's side door for the drivers window. he can roll the passenger's window up/down but the drivers side doesnt work. we went to an autoparts shop today to see if we could order one, but the guy said they were discontinued. shit.
When will a turbo come into the mix?
Never since the car has an LS in it now lol.
awgibson93 come on it still needs a turbo lol, I used to drive a turbo 3.4 now I drive a turbo ls1 t/a lol
I'm good with a cam only LS1 for now haha. Maybe down the road I'll do something a special :P
Hey man, I have a 3.8 v6. Had a leaky headgasket and some bad seals when I bought it. So I pulled the engine and redbuilt it. I am 16 and always had my hands into Nissan's and Infiniti's. @JacobR343 I'll post it up when she gets dyno'd.
@pewpscoop Haha sure, I'm not hating on V6s but I'm just saying all that work could of been done to a LS1 and be 10x faster.
I have a 95 but it overheats. :(
I really like it, but for all the money you dumped into a 200rwhp V6, you could've just got an LT1?
How many HP yo got?
Where is the car to this day?
Scrapped the shell after I wrecked the car. The body had well over 200k miles on it so I shell swapped the LS/t56 combo to a 97 z/28.
@@awgibson93 cool!
@@awgibson93 you have any other social media? Instagram, Facebook?
If u like v6 u should do a turbo 3.8
Sound nice n look nice but if u was gonna get a diff engine shoulda got a lt1
theres a 1000 hp lt1 on youtube, it was a 500 hp na but then he turbocharged it:D
Exhaust tips are old, I have center mount exhaust now
@DraikonZ3 College or nice car, I guess that was my choice, I chose college, I chose wisely
Ls1?
How much HP?
