This is a terrific video of Guanajuato. I lived there for 10 years. The hotelito is owned by one of my best friends. It has the best view in town, seriously. This couple really shows the city off well. I applaud their video. 👏👏👏
Hi Steve! Thank you! We really appreciate your support and are beyond happy that you enjoyed the video. We would definitely stay at the hotelito again on a return visit. The view is spectacular, the rooms are comfortable, and the owner is so kind. A wonderful spot in a wonderful city. Thank you again!l
Hi there! We don't unfortunately. We took a prearranged taxi from Guanajuato to BJX to fly back to PV. For getting between Queretaro, SMA and Guanajuato we used the comfortable and reliable ETN buses.
Beautiful video! I love how simple and straight forward you both are and how you insert clips of the experiences. Editing was perfect for future travelers.
Looks like The food here costs much less than in San Miguel de Allende. Did you only stay for 2 days? Great video! Now I’m definitely going to visit this city!
Thanks for watching! And yes, the food is generally less expensive than SMA. It's a great destination for budget travellers. Even though we provide a 2-day itinerary in our videos, we tend to stay 4-5 days in most towns we visit. That gives us enough time to sink into a place and soak it up. It's never enough time of course! We'd prefer to stay 4-5 months. 😀
Just discovered your channel and subscribed. Enjoying the Mexico videos - great quality and the food looks delicious! Never been to Guanajuato, but this video makes me want to visit. Is this a relatively safe area to visit?
Hello! Thank you for checking out our channel and so glad to hear you’re enjoying the Mexico videos. It’s one of our favourite places. Guanajuato is lovely and we would definitely recommend a visit. While we were there we felt very safe and would go back for sure. Thank you again! 😁
Great video! My wife and I are planning a trip there soon so it was exciting to see your video. How did you guys like the hotel you stayed at? Having the toughest time deciding where to stay.
Hi Kevin! Thanks so much for watching. We’re so excited for you to go there. It was such an awesome experience for us. We loved our hotel! It was charming and beautiful, well located and lots of special touches. We would definitely recommend. Thanks again!! And have a great time. 😁
I know that hotelito first hand. It has beautiful rooms, with a view, and a large balcony overlooking a 180° view of the city, from about 8 stories up. If you stay there, say hi to Dennis for me. Gto has a LOT of beauty. If you stay over on a Friday, you can see the symphony, too.
Hi! Thanks for sharing these ideas. Unfortunately, the university was completely closed when we were there - no students or public - as were some museums as we recall. But we'll note these for our next visit!
Looking to do 7-9 day vacation and was thinking Leon, Guanajuato, Guadalajara trip. 2-3nts GDL (been multiple times) but wondering how to split time between Leon and Guanajuato? Suggestions? We’ll fly into Leon and out of Guadalajara, or vice versa taking ground transportation in between. We are full time residents of San Felipe, Baja so absolutely no reservations about traveling around MX.
Hi there! Sounds like a super fun trip. We've never been to Leon, so if it were us, we'd probably spend a little more time there. Guanajuato was fantastic though, so if we could spend another 3 nights there we would. Let us know what you decide!
Hi!! I’m going to be visiting for the 1st time soon and was wondering about the transportation. Mostly from and to the airport. Do you just take taxis?
Hello! We’re excited to hear you’ll be visiting Guanajuato soon! It’s such a pretty and unique city. We loved it there! As for transportation, we arrived there by bus and grabbed a taxi at the station. When we left we flew, and we did take a taxi to the airport as well. Our flight was early so we asked for help pre-arranging a taxi from our hotel. We hope you enjoy your trip!! Thank you for checking out our videos! 😁
Hi!! How exciting that you’re planning Guanajuato for your bday!! Such an awesome spot for celebrating. Our room at Hotelito Casa Dionisio didn’t have a number but it was called the Alcatras room. It was so cozy!! Hope you have a wonderful trip. And thanks for watching! 😁

You guys didn’t take the Funicular to the top of Pipila? Much easier than walking up!
We seem to remember it being out of commission when we were there. Next time!
