Ryanair does these hard landings on purpose because they usually have destinations that have small runways so their planes need to brake hard in order to not overshoot in the runways hence the hard landings
That's not totally true. Most runways that Ryanair uses, other airlines use as well. There are two reasons for this: 1. Shorter turnaround time, the less runaway you use, usually the faster you can exit and get to the terminal, shaving off a couple of minutes from your turnaround time. 2. 737 has a very low clearance to the ground, so the best way to avoid a tail strike is to land fast with little floating.
@@hammamboutafant3659ryanair never uses the biggest airport of a country, you will never see em at Istanbul, Amsterdam, Heathrow, etc They always choose a cheaper alternative near that airport, which are generally smaller

Actually Ryanair are still having these butter Pilots unless if they do overrun they get fired because Ryanair only goes to small airports with short runways

Actually, it is kinda good for Ryanair to have firm landings, because the 737 is originally designed to handle firm landings and pilots don't have to be trained professionally to butter every landing, a firm landing also provides a earlier touchdown in result of less taxi time for all planes
Overrun the runway will only make ryanair fire someone and they do hard landing bc of they do hard landings they will stop faster also they use short runways also the boeing 737 is designed for hard landings
First of all, they get you there. And second, yeah, Ryanair do tend to do firm landings. But it has a reason. And it helps YOU save money. And they are professionals. Real pilots are in the cockpit. So they will do their best to get you there safely. And they do tend to be pretty kind, so I think Ryanair isn't a bad airline. It's a nice airline.
Butter is no can do for Ryanair as they only have twenty five minutes to unload and reload. They also use seven thirty sevens that can handle such landings very well.
For people who don't know The airline Ryanair lands super hard because of short runways they land hard is to kill the speed Quicky but on the other hand they do know how to land smooth they only land smooth on longer runway because landing smooth takes long for all the tires to reach the ground so if they landed smooth on a short runway they would crash or go straight into the dirt.
Landing hard is actually way better than buttering. This is because a butter won’t get you down to the ground as fast may causing you to float and having to make a go around. Landing hard dosent cause you to make a go around nor to make you float.
You can’t blame them. The wind conditions where they land are rarely good and it can cause bad landings. They also have shorter runways where they land and they don’t won’t to get the float to butter their landings.
It's not just because Ryan Air lands at airports with shorter runways. It's also because Ryan Air has an impressive turnaround time of just 25 mins. Landing harder also means the plane stops faster so that they can taxi out of the runway faster which makes the turnaround time shorter. It's all about efficiency and the fact that Ryan Air charges like 10 euros per ticket, nobody should complain about hard landings lol.
A recommendation for pilots, when landing, make sure not to use too much runway, descend a little earlier and be quite low, if there are trees. You can use the other track, if it is only one, try to gain a little speed to make butter
They are recomended by the guys in the tower, Airports have such a thing as traffic jams, at any time the tower controlled can request pilotos to take the shortest possible or available taxi lane, however Pilots do the math before landing and have always the option to do what is safest. In Ryanair they deliberatly want and train Pilots to go for the shortest because they want fast turn around times(a Ryanair flight can do a turn around in as little as 20 minutes).
Just to fizzle out some of the hate on ryanair landings, remember those things. Ryanair is a low-cost company, it's a fairly new company so they don't have pilots that are as experienced as others, Ryanair is supposed to be accessible to as many people as possible, so they even land on shorter runways, which is harder. And, if they have to land on shorter runways, they have to be slower in the air, meaning more stall. They also use 737s, which were made for harder landings. It's just way cheaper and way safer to land hard rather than land soft.
The reason for Ryanair’s hard landing is because that plane Boeing 737 is not meant to have a smooth landing due the amount of passengers in such a small plane therefore it will make it harder for pilots to land even if they tried.
You guys need to understand that Ryanair is saving money not buttering because you have to float across the runway for a while and it just wastes the money for ruanair
You know there's actually a reason why they land so hard it's because most of the runways in Europe are short asf so they land hard so they can stop faster rather than overshooting the runway
people are complaining about their rough landings but its actually not their fault, the plane wasnt designed to make butter landings, and iit saves fuel to land rough
For everyone saying the 737 was designed for firm landings and therefore a “butter” landing is bad. This is wrong. The 737 was designed to handle hard landings, as is any other plane. This does not mean however that a smooth landing is bad for the plane. That would be none sense.
They often do hard landings on longer runways too. So for example at Hahn, Germany (HHN). May be that the pilots are so familiar with these types of landings and they don't make a difference on longer runways.
Why do people have so much hate for Ryanair? Like, I know they do hard landings but have you ever heard of “cheap airlines”? Most of the time, Ryanair always does hard landings because they tend to land on smaller runways to reduce costs, and they don't want to do a go around.
Something that should also be explained is that this company has many flights, but many in the world, so there are more landings, the more likely it is that one will leave, so most of them turn out well.
hard landing is a must when the weather conditions not able to soft landing. it’s not related to ryan air or any other company. they have to follow standards.
