Hi! Very sweet! ❤ Really great page ideas/decorations; especially including the old advertisements, etc. I love seeing old books repurposed. thx so much for sharing your creation.
Nicely done. The rings allow for you to pull out a page and work on it. This makes me realize I could do the same to some vintage 5x7 calendar diaries that my mom used -- where there was a themed photo on one side and a horizontal week on a page on the other. My mom's handwriting is all over some of the pages. The memories! Thanks for the ring binder idea.
Just bought one of those same cookbooks(1953) for $1 at an estate sale. The cover is in perfect condition. Now I need to do something with it. Love what you did with yours.
This was a great journal! I love all of our vintage touches, and LOL! I agree that the pictures in those old cookbooks are kind of disturbing. My girls and I laugh about them all the time. Anyway, I love your journal!
I absolutely love it! I am late to the party and learning about this journaling business now. I love all the authentic vintage ephemera you have used. You have so many ideas that I have noted. Hoping to fashion a noteworthy journal soon. Thank you for sharing your talent!
I have a collection of these ring binders. I cant wait to make them into journals. Great ideas! Its on my list of journals to make! (Its a long list!)😁
Wow! This is fantastic! You have such creative ideas and wonderful ephemera. The whole journal really captures that 1940s/50s era. It could almost tell a story on its own. Can't wait to see your next one, and maybe I would even be in time to buy it! :)
Enjoyed this flip through. Great job! I learned a lot of new techniques that I haven’t seen used before. Like how to include those tall pages from Saturday Evening Post. TYFS! 💖
Kristin, I just subscribed to your channel!!!! I love this cookbook journal and see that it has sold. Would you mind telling me how much it sold for? I think all the adds and everything are wonderful!!!!!
I love this! It's so thoughtfully put together and looks great! How do you have a special hole punch for the rings in this binder or did you use a single punch?
Very well done. I just thrifted the 1988 version of the cookbook and you have inspired me to make a journal with it. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful journal! I also found a 1953 and made it for my friend who was born that year. Still on the search for a 1951 for myself.
