Mai Tai uses liberty fabric and etro as well so it is really nice.! Samorga is felt and very poor quality and if I have a birkin I am worried the felt material will rub or color the bag. So it is great you put on the video and save us some money.

Hi - I did my research as well. I could not see myself spending $$ on 7rp. So I purchased the Mai Tai for my Birkin 🎶happy with my decision. I recommend to all, the Mai Tai if you want a less expensive alternative to 7rp🎶

You know I just managed to google and managed to find Mai Tai and ordered for my birkin 35 and chanel 2.55 bag. You are right it is so much cheaper! I have a 7rp for my birkin 35 but it is so expensive and was going to order 2 more but it is euro1200! with tax whereas with 2 Birkin inserts plus a chanel for Mai Tai I only paid Euro285. I can't wait to get them.
Glad this was helpful for you! I think maitai and Samorga are generally good enough. I started out with a 7rp but realistically it’s too expensive. The other brands have improved their designs over the years so I don’t think it’s necessary to spend so much for just an insert and there are plenty of options !!

ahh my latest insert from 7RP doesn't quite fit my b25 either! it's frustrating because it's supposed to keep the bag in its shape but i'm not sure how it's supposed to do that when it is so much smaller than the bag... i'm quite annoyed. no more 7RP for me, i'm going with Samorga for my other bags. With the 7RP, why not just fill the extra space with something soft like a pack of Kleenex? Why not put things on top that won’t scratch or leak, such as a pair of sunglasses in a soft dust bag?

Hi Clara: Thanks for the review. Would like to double check the bottom measurement of the Mai Tai insert--- Since the Kelly 25 is 25 cm, looking at your video, it seems like the insert is closer to 24 cm to sit pretty snug. You mentioned 20cm, seems like 5 cm less would be too loose? Would you kindly clarify?
Mine is around 20 cm, you probably don't want it to be too close to the corners of the bag as it will stretch out the bag and also cause marks. The bag also cinches in at the top so the bottom will also narrow as it gets closer to the top. Leave some room on each side 1-2 cm will let it breath better otherwise you run the risk of bunching the bag and causing it to stretch, esp if you fill the bag to capacity.
Thank you, the dimensions are sooooo helpful. Since you said the 7rp sellier is too short but the 7rp retourne is longer, if you tried to put the 7rp k25 retourne in the k25 sellier would it fit well compared to the maitai?
Fantastic review! :) After watching this video, I think I'm leaning towards Mai Tai. I bought a 7RP organizer for my B25 retourne recently and have to say it doesn't fit that well. When you use it in the bag, it stretches the base of the bag ever so slightly. I think the organizer is either too stiff or too wide. Have you ever tried DGAZ organizers? Thanks!
No I have not actually. So far I've done okay with Mai Tai and the slim Samorga organizers. Not all 7rp fit properly. It actually stretched out my Mini Evelyn a lot too which was also not a happy incident...

Tx for the coffee dim dull !! My k25 retoune for 7rp measures 21 x 8 x 9 compared to mai tai 20 x 9 x 11. Mai tai top is 18 x 6 and retourne top is 20 x 7. Hence I suspect the top of the retourne is probably too long and Wide for the sellier. Hope it helps.

I don’t think there is a need for such expensive inserts. Silk ones that are stain/water resistant and machine washable on taobao are good enough for me. Although they are definitely not the same things.
Tx . Taobao is often hit and Miss for me but good to know !! I’m also worried about whether some fabric dyes from taobao will stain the interior of my bag as I’ve heard that happen to someone I know . Guess you need to really know which ones are most trustworthy !!

No it narrrows as it goes up and hits right under the internal zipper pocket

It’s about just right but the structure is soft so I think it’s okay esp against the sellier .

Thanks for the suggestion but the two are not interchangeable- the retourne one would definitely stretch the sellier so I don’t recommend it.
