Great rock band from the 70's-80's. They had so many great songs such as "Lady", "Lorelei", "Suite Madame Blue", "Renegade", "Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)", "Mr. Roboto", "Babe", "The Best of Times", "Too Much Time On My Hands", "Show Me The Way", "Don't Let It End", "Why Me", "Borrowed Time", "Rockin' The Paradise" etc.
Being 59 yrs young, I was so fortunate to live thru a time of the best music ever. They were amazing in concert so fun and entertaining on top of being masters of their craft. Thanx so much. Peace
We are good friends with the Promotions Manager who helped get Styx started in the business and traveled with them for years. Oh, the stories I now know about them that I can't repeat now...LOL.
I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but the band name is not referencing sticks. It is the mythological river Styx, the gateway to the land of the dead.
Song misses that extra punch that you get from the full version of the song. The ballad needs that punch the longer version provides to balance this iconic rock song.
Uh no matter what version I simply cannot stop this damn song in my head once it starts! I have to hear it or finish it myself and I don’t know why!! 😨 Slight edit: I accidentally hit the link in line at grocery store and people looking at me sideways
This is a shortened version. Every song on the "Grand Illusion" album is FIRE!
So right! I listened to this album incessantly back then, especially the B side.
I was singing along and really getting into it, until they skipped that whole section and it just threw me off.
Styx is classic rock at it's finest! Thanks for covering! They are awesome in concert too! ❤
I saw them live in concert back in the 70’s. They brought down the house! Nothing but fire.
my parents saw them live but they went without me T_T

Fun fact, they are still touring! Their music was a big part of my childhood ❤
The Grand Illusion ! Styx is AMAZING ! Miss America is FIRE 🔥🔥 🙌 I am here for this discovery!
I spent my high school years listening to this band. Dennis DeYoung has a great voice.
Agreed! His solo stuff Desert Rose was beyond 💟
Love Styx and Kansas
Styx is Iconic and so is this song. 😄
Styx' songs "Babe" and "Lady" are good also
This reaction has my dying. Singing “WE MISSED OUT” and taco meat chest hair. This man is hilarious. Great reaction to a great song
Oh yeah...what a gift!!! Thank you AB...try their song Sweet Madam Blue...another banger❤❤❤
Boy, my younger years. Listening go this song, brings back so many memories

I just love your commentary! You make me laugh every time you speak. Thanks so much for that.🥰

Styx is named after a Greek mythical river. The river Styx (the land of the dead)
The boat you were gonna say brother turns out to be a spaceship “Come Sail Away With Me” 🚀💫🪐🌎✨
My favorite song of theirs is Blue Collar Man
They have sooooo many great songs!!!
Thank you for doing this reaction @ABtheKreator!! This is one of my absolute favorite rock songs ever ❤❤❤
Love this song! It also reminds me of 'Point of Know Return' (yep, correct spelling of the song) by Kansas.

This was our Prom Theme in 1978 lol...love this song and love the instrumentals
We (I graduated in '80) certainly grew up during the best era of music.
Oh yeah! Listen to the longer version.
This was a short version of the song but thanks for doing this reaction.
🔥
Have you ever listened to Queen? if you liked Styx you will be amazed by Queen
Dennis deyoung was just an amazing singer
♥♥♥
Great in concert...
Great reaction!
It's not "The Styx." It's just Styx. It's the name of a river in Greek mythology.
I love your channel, more country please!!!
I’d like to request “nothing compares to you “ by Sinead O’Conner if you can find it. When she sang it would change my heart
If ya like tenors ya should check out some Southern Gospel quartets

Love your reviews. Try Huey Lewis and the News

😂
I don’t know this band I like the song I was born in the 90s
Welcome to discovering one of the greatest bands of all-time! STYX 🔥
Welcome. My fave Styx albums are, The Grand Illusion , Equinox, and Pieces of Eight. Enjoy.
They cut out half the song for some reason. Check out the studio verson.
Cartman sang this song In the South Park movie, lol
I can never hear this song anymore with Dennis DeYoung. It’s always Cartman.
Makes me think of Cartman 😂😂
Short version, bummer.
Whiteboyz or Big b Rich please...
Just Styx, no 'the'.
Always play the full album version this isn't that
Nope that’s his voice
This is the crappy version. It’s missing a third of the song. I’d recommend reacting to the full album version.
