Every racetrack is divided into on an average 3 sectors, where drivers are timed to understand which part of the racetrack they are losing/gaining time. Now each sector might have 1 or more sections which are tricky to nail.
Very true! And at Autopolis almost the entire 3rd sector is one big section of corners. Get one of them wrong and it affects all of the following corners as momentum gets all messed up 😬😃
Wow this was very eye opening for me personally. my biggest struggle is carrying momentum and 80% throttle input on low speed corner exits. Its interesting to listen to you describe what you look for and how you solve the problens. Keep these videos going 🤝
I didn't know you were making a video about it. I thought the replay was for the competition 😂 But all the better, I'm very happy that you also chose my replay as an example. Thank you for taking the time and the effort, absolutely priceless and much appreciated! Exactly the three points you mentioned are what I'm still working on, especially a smoother release of the brakes and turning in on time. Generally I aim for a late apex, which might not fit on every corner, especially not on the last 3 corners before the finish line and the left hander before the straight to the hairpin. As far as the racing line is concerned, maybe I let myself too much influenced by the top 10 ghosts which I am using (invisible this replay), and follow their line, which is not necessarily the best line choice, but in this case at least not the slowest. Overall, I still benefit greatly from the driving lesson with you. Everything I achieved so far is the direct result of that, and am considering whether I should take another hour or two.
I should submit my inconsistent laps. I'll be close to the the top driver then mess up in the last sector. Next lap I'll do better in the last sector, but mess up in something else
Loved this kind of video, it help me who is B rated driver a lot. I usually being qualified around 2k-3k on leaderboard and struggling about how to improve my lap time.
Thank you so much for analyzing my driving and for the valuable feedback! Will be working on improving my technique for sure and can’t wait to see the difference
Excellent video. Great concept too. The way I found your videos was looking for ways to get better at GT7. This is a great example of content that will help people do just that.
I know braking points/references are spoken alot in track guides. Possibly could we start seeing turning points also? I would love to get my best lap time at this week daily race b at DF Reversed analysed. I say that because it's my first time being sub 1000 global. I'm proud of it but i know it's probably all over the place.
I did some videos with turning points, but it's hard at the beginning of the week. A real good lap with all it's points is usually done at the end of the week, so it's hard to do something like that on Monday. That's why I will most likely focus on this type of content.
Good thing I didn't send you mine.....but, a new wheel/pedal has helped. I will now go and spend the next few days applying what you have said and hopefully I'll take a second off! Thanks Mr G! Much appreciate it.
thanks to everyone who uploaded their videos to be reviewed, it's very hard to for anyone to take an evaluation of their driving. Reason is because pride can cloud your judgement and make things worst. Thanks Digit for doing this
The sudden steering inputs might be a sign of a controller player. Its how I steer on controller, learning the dexterity to modulate steering on the thumbstick is a challenge.
Not exactly, controller players have very subtle change of direction since the game is recognizing controllers in a different way that wheels. For example, the game will optimize the inputs of controller players and make it more subtle. This will prevent any sudden change of direction making is harder to lose control, but limiting the overall control of the car. Of course unless you use motion control instead of the ordinary thumb sticks.
"Don't think corner to corner, think of sections". Probably one of the best advices I've seen and it applies to any racing game.
As non-english speaker, Are the section and sector same ?
@@Natthapon usually no (could be if the sector is ultra short)

An idea for my next video :)

3:27 - I don't understand how can he hit the curb and also be facing towards the corner at this point without going over the grass before the curb.

Great video, I struggle hard to improve my times... but this gives something to think about.

Love this Idea, one of the best Format i‘ve ever seen.
This driving thing is complicated, but I know with practice, I will get it right one day!! thanks for the informative video champ.
Great video! Thank you, keep those coming please🙏
Great video idea! I will like to submit my lap for next video.
Same
Hop in the discord server. I'll probably do another one in a week or so.
Very interesting. we learn a lot by watching your videos in general, and this one is particularly informative
Good video , always helpful 👍👏
Very good tips mate, thanks.
Great video! Thanks 😃👍
Thanks
Are these drivers on controller or wheel?
